    Hi..i am using wow omega 3 veg suppliment and it contains carrageenan..what should I do ? should I stop to use the suppliment or should i continue..pls reply

    • @thewholefoodlife
      @thewholefoodlife  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for asking :) If the supplement was prescribed for health/medical reasons, I would check with your doctor to find an alternative without carrageenan. If you’re using it independently for personal reasons, such as to boost your intake of omega 3, I would see if there’s an alternative without carrageenan. A lot of times you can ask a pharmacist or professional/employee who works at a nutrition, health food, or supplement store for help!

    I can't hear you over that background music. you can turn it down in your video app. maybe edit this video, trun it down and re-upload. very important information, and I'm so glad you've posted to help keep us informed. I'm thinking Carageenan might be the cause of my plethora of GI issues!!! Thank you!!!

      You're welcome, and thank you for this suggestion! I think it's a good idea that I re-upload this video and a few others. I still have the scripts, but will have to create a new video, so it will take a while, but I will start doing this later this year :)

    I bought a large (raw) HERITAGE FARMS chicken breasts.
    Yep, its ingredients: chicken broth, Carrageenan & salt.
    My question is, with a vacuum sealed package, broth & salt....why is the poisonous chemical added???

    • @thewholefoodlife
      @thewholefoodlife  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for mentioning this! I often see this with meat, even packaged turkeys. I don't understand why these chemicals have to be in raw meat, especially since there are companies that sell the same or similar product and don't add anything. This further stresses the importance of reading the ingredient list if possible. Thanks for sharing :)

      @@thewholefoodlife It is better not to use music even at a very low volume since it distracts concentration and induces us to sleep instead of focusing on the content.

      @@evelynsoriano4571 I see what you're saying. I added music because I thought it would make the videos sound less sterile. But I realize that some do not prefer it. I appreciate this video and the facts in it. I looked carrageenan vids up because I realized I wasn’t getting the horrible feeling from heavy cream when I finally bought organic heavy cream. I thought I was dairy intolerant but having no problems with organic made me wonder if it was one of the additives…

    • @thewholefoodlife
      @thewholefoodlife  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you and you bring up a good point. I often wondered if I was lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy, but it very well could have been the additives. Now, I avoid nearly all additives, especially if I don't know anything about them. I'm happy to hear that switching to organic dairy (avoiding the additives) made the difference in how you feel :)

    Shouldn't consume carrageenan though. It may seem safe at first but repeated exposure over time develops inflammation in the bowels causing explosive diarrhea, stomach cramps and even malnutrition if you don't know what it is making you ill.

    • @thewholefoodlife
      @thewholefoodlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for sharing this! I used to consume an almond milk that contained this ingredient. It was marketed as healthy too. It wasn't until I developed dyspepsia and started looking more into food ingredients that I realized how dangerous carrageenan is, especially after longtime consumption.

    • @RavenousFallen
      @RavenousFallen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@thewholefoodlife My grocery store, Lidl now makes their own almond milk without any carrageenan... so it's good to see there's at least alternative brands out there. Lately I've been hearing of people complain about diarrhea at McDonalds... so yeah, I think it's likely their carrageenan ice cream at fault.

    I was suffering from Carrageenan exposure for over a year, not know what was making me ill. And it led to excessive hair loss due to me not getting much nutrition. Which is why I was drinking nutrition drinks trying to stay healthy... little did I know the nutrition shakes started adding Carrageenan to them.

    • @thewholefoodlife
      @thewholefoodlife  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is a very good question. I would need to look into this more, but carrageenan in skincare doesn't absorb into the skin easily so it doesn't enter the bloodstream easily compared to consuming it through food and drink. As of now, I wouldn't be too concerned about carrageenan in skincare and haircare products compared to food and drink. Thanks for asking :)

Zero of the participants in the placebo group had remission of ulcerative colitis symptoms where is a number of participants in the carrageenan group did have remission of ulcerative colitis symptoms.

    This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
    For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
