  • ** SPOILER ** I get halfway through this build and get fired from my job ... of yeah, also, in the beginning, I talk a little about the Book of Boba Fett ** I create the paint and texture for a post-Sarlacc Boba Fett and work a bit more on my Ghostbusters Aztec Death Whistle. This helmet was printed by the super talented people at "Clever 3D Studios" on Etsy!
This episode was written, filmed, and edited by Shawn Cash, produced by Heather Atherton and Shawn Cash.
I have had a lot of questions about what paint I used. I used all Montana Gold Black brand spray paint and here are the colors i used and where:
Bottom of cheeks and top of head - Storm
    Top of cheeks - Toad
    Red trim - Cardinal
Back of head - Celtic (dusted with Banknote to darken it a little)

**WE'RE FANS OF CARBON FREEZING BUILD CHALLENGE/BUILD ALONG**
Build a wall hanging or portable carbon freeze chamber using a box fan and 4 gang boxes of any size and "freeze" the character of your choice. Add your own flair and as much lighting and personality as you would like! When done send progress build photos (or video) and final carbon freeze builds along with a few-sentence story of your build to TryToFinishSomething@gmail.com by the end of 2021 (December 31, 2021) to be used on my channel. Also, send any socials or Instagram that I can help promote!

I had no idea on the stones! Take care there friend! I hope you feel better soon.
I had a thought about the Sarlacc, if it takes a 1000 years to be digested by a Sarlacc then isn't that acid weaker than water? It takes far less time for organic matter to dissolve in water!

Thanks Odin! They are “better”! Exactly my thought on the Sarlacc … that is the worst plan by “nature” ever!

My understanding has always been that due to some rule of cruel the sarlacc activley keeps you alive and in pain troughout the ordeal, and hence why Jabba liked to throw people down in it.

I am usually not the kind of person to comment videos. I mostly watch and like. But hearing your story midway in your video urged me to write a couple of words to try to lift your spirit up. Hang tight my man because you never know what's coming after a storm. I wish you the best.

Ahhhhh…kidney stone surgery. I had 2 massive stones (one in each kidney). I ended up having nearly a dozen surgical procedures done to destroy those asteroids. I was looking at having to lose one kidney, because it was badly damaged. All ‘better’ now. Hope you’re feeling better at this point. Sucks that you also lost your job, in such a crappy way.
I really love your skills with making plastic look like metal that’s been through the digestive tract of a giant sand slug. Gonna need to rewatch another dozen times to catch everything you do.

As a former fabric cutter (for a sports/preventative injury company, making all sorts of slings, braces and the like), you're aware you can thin liquid latex with distilled water, aren't you? We used to thin - and tint - liquid latex, using water-based acrylic pigments, depending on the customer; one for beige wrist and ankle supports, and one for white, depending on the customer, and the fabric/material we used. The ammonia given off - mixed into each drum - is only to keep the rubber in a fluid state ... otherwise you'd end up with a 20 litre sized pencil eraser in a can!

Kidney stones...phew, that's tough. Hope all goes well. I also did that helmet for my Boba costume. Stupid me rushed it though, because I absolutely wanted to wear a full kit for an event - so I really got the cow spot pattern. Did the spots with toothpaste, but somehow they were far too evenly spred accross the dome. The grainy texture and weathering looked really good, but the official of the Mando Mercs (who I want to join) gave me that hint. So I stripped the whole thing and will redo the helmet - and take my time (next spring though, as I have no spot to do rattlecan spraypaints in our house).
