That came out great Shawn! Its cool that you can whip up stuff so quick and it came out great!
Thanks Dave! Now I need to get off my butt and do some Whitey Lights!
Nice!!! They came out great, bro!! Your paint job also turned creepy and cool.
Thanks Aedo … I mixed that paint with your mixer too!
Love how the haunted house worked! And its great to see another video, Shawn! PS, we need a Podcash soon!
Hahaha! You are always the BEST! Thanks for watching!
Quick and dirty! Looks great!
Underline the QUICK!!!
Lips! Eww! These turned out great!!
I know! I kept saying it and it kept feeling “wrong”!!
They turned out crazy good and gooey. When I need to speed build and I still want to use contact cement I use my heat gun to speed dry it.
That’s a great tip! I haven’t tried that! Thanks
Awesome job Shawn. They look great…and given the fact you chose to film this for everyone’s benefit…I can truly appreciate the anxiety this brings when you have real world t8me constraints
I just thought that since I couldn’t find a video that maybe it would help even if it wasn’t the BEST video! I would have loved a template when I started! My first 3 attempts were tossed out until I got a working pattern! Thanks for watching Garland!

Bit of a Spın̈al Tap Stonehenge situation there.
Funny you mention that! I thought the exact same thing when I opened the package! The ad said FULL SIZED Alien Egg! Full sized for an action figure!
Ripley: "So each one of these things comes from an egg. So who's laying all these eggs?" Bishop "Sean. Sean Cash is laying all the eggs."
Hahahahhahaaa!
Could I make these binder cuffs using PVC and insulation foam
That would be amazing and it you do it … I want to see it!!! Tag me in the picture!! @trytofinishsomething
Love this video! Thank you!
Just found this video.... really good.... but how do you change batteries in detonators?
The foam they sit in is pressure fit and is able to slide out!
You my friend, are a master craftsman. Absolutely brilliant work.
Thank you so much! Thanks for checking it out!!
Very nice in the end wow. Yes the candle burn had me worrying for a bit but over all nice work
I was a little worried too, but I like the concept of why it would be burned and I was happy with the result! Thanks for watching!
I don’t thank the e-11 blaster you have had blaster cells because the model you have is from the tv show Star Wars “rebels” Great video though 👍
You are 100% correct! Not screen accurate AT ALL! I just like the look of the cells!
@@trytofinishsomething I also like the fuel cells, you did a great job
cool idea to set in afire! the contents sheet has a copy of a Club Obiwan flier. did you make a copy before dipping it in the water?
I pulled most of the loose items out of it before dropping it in the water.
You have inspired me to make my toolbox into a sci fi loot container. Thanks for this.
Supernice Build 👍🏻
Glad you like it
Its been awhile. A lot of good information in there lol . Always fun Shawn!
More to come!!!!
More to come!!!!
This is very perfect steel mando Dana sweetman #Aegis Armour is one of the best Armourer and designer.
A beautiful helmet. Have a great trip.
Great to see you back posting again. Your 'old' helmet looks great. The new helmet looks spectacular. You need two, one to keep pristine and one to weather! (I bet they're not cheap enough to get two). One tiny comment about the video, there are bars of darkness across the screen, top quarter and 3rd quarter that appear to flip with 2nd and 4th quarter every few seconds. faint but visible. I've no idea what could be causing that, it's weird.
That is odd! It was a rush to get out I shot the video like to card, uploaded, went to bed and now at the airport! If I had more time I probably would have noticed!! Sorry about that!
@@trytofinishsomething Not really a problem just noticed it wasn't up to your usual high standard. Having given it a little more thought since I first posted I think it *might* be due to a resolution change between the original footage and the final footage and whatever is re-scaling is not getting the contrast quite the same.
It's not a pause, it's antisipation.
Hahahaha! You are the best!
This was a great video to watch. It was so awesome to see that metal helmet. How dark is the visor he used for his helmet? It was fun to listen to your rant. I have a friend who is making me a full suit of Mandalorian armor out of metal for me, but it has to be put on hold because I live in a different state now. Congrats to your daughter. Have fun on your trip overseas.
I will have to find out the tint shade and message you! I can’t wait to see your suit! Has he finished any pieces?
Nice bucket, sounds great. Do you still have your proposal suit? Would love to see it. I got a stainless steel version from HBC armor shop for about the same price. This one is in India, but they did fantastic work. Very clean, custom-made (gave them my measurements and what I wanted). And they delivered. This company really knows what they are doing. They make their own stuff, no resellers. And yes, the thing is heavy, but so well worth it. A beautiful work of art. They do fantasy, but also medieval armour for combat (they have their own team, so constant product testing). Can only recommend. If you want the rest of Mando's shiny suit...you can get it there as well. I made the rest of the armour for this helmet out of metal...albeit aluminium. It is okay to wear. Only problem is if...I have to do certain things as a female. But it is also totally worth it to me.
I do have it and will have to dig up pictures! I would love to see yours too!!
Your ADHD can beat up my ADHD!
I am trying to figure out if that is good or bad!!
@@trytofinishsomething 🤷🏻♀️ Only a joke!
@Sarahbuildsstepsequencers I figured … and mine too! ;)
I am wondering about the length of each strap?
Happy to measure any parts you need!
WOW !!! Amazing I have not seen anyone else do damaged or dinted containers before. Thanks you did an awesome job !
I love the whole damaged universe look … probably TOO much!!! Thanks for watching!
Great video, I definitely want to try this, I just need to find the space. Thanks for the great content 👍
You should for sure! It was a fun pretty easy build with a big payoff! Thanks for checking it out!
hello where to buy this newspaper? Etay? Amazon? Temu?,,,,very good work
Thank you very much! Do you mean the original diary that I started with? If so, the link is in the video description … the one that says I think “LucanV”. If you mean something else let me know and I would be happy to help!
I love this build!
It was a LOT of fun!!
@@trytofinishsomething I'm about to make a td out of scrap parts and you gave me some ideas. Hopefully this works out lol
Well done, man. That's a nice looking prop
Thank you!! It was fun!!
An amazing build, like you got it right away from Andor 🙂
Thank you very much! It was a fun build!
Awesome build Shawn
Thanks Garland!
Shawn, I never quite get why you're slightly annoyed when your ideas don't quite get 100% realised when converted into actual real-world objects (seeing something on a monitor, as opposed to an object - or components, thereof) sitting in front of you. I would rather see the stuff-ups or the less than perfect attempts, rather than a slick, polished (and, let's face it, lifeless and dull) presentation. The ones who fall into the lifeless and dull presentations (which I won't name, because ... why give them free press, right?), I'd much rather avoid, but there's an earthy, real-life, realistic "I tried this sh*t, and it definitely didn't turn out the way I thought, but I managed to get something worthwhile out of it" feel to most of your builds. Personally, I'll take your slightly less-polished, somewhat scattered and untidy 'tried this and it didn't go the way I thought, but I put it together anyway, painted it and here it is' way of presentation, any day of the week. It's cool to show your mistakes, young man (it makes you "you"), even if you have a few more modern tools to work with than some of us, and I definitely like all of your tangents, sidebars and rants (it keeps your viewers actively engaged when they hear someone kicking off about something, and it also means it saves a bit of money not having to fill out a build video with royalty-free library music. Nothing worse than the musical equivalent of dead air on a video, I have to say!).
Mr Unicorn I think I LOVE you ;) I, seriously, appreciate the comments and support!
@@trytofinishsomething Shawn, when working on a film set (which I get to do, every so often), I try to get our cameraman to try different types of shots that he's never experienced before (younger folks who've always followed the rules they've been taught in an educational situation), be it a shot that we can speed ramp in post, or opening his eyes to the idea of reverse photography ... when we film, I feel like the old wizened sage (OK, the big white Santa-like beard does help with that image!) on set, imparting that knowledge onto the next generation. Stuff that - when viewing for the first time - definitely seems to be a bit rough around the edges, but that can be treated and tricked with (a little image stabilised tracking, or a bit of full framed cropping, for example), to make it more presentable for an audience, which we have to do in about a month's time when we shoot my first directing job (yep, that was me a couple of videos back, telling you I'd adapted a short story into a script, and that I'd be the one directing it. Also, doing a little cameo as the crux of the whole thing, seen both alive in some scenes, and as a corpse in the opening scene, with a killer VFX reveal shot to show me with my head twisted the wrong way that we worked out and have all the gear for a low-tech motion control shot to duplicate the same shot three times, with a little green screen work and some comping work!). So, I prefer the work to be a little on the rough, just thrown together manner, than can always be slightly cleaned up afterwards.
@@MrUnicorn44 Now I need to see your video!!!
Is the overhead camera a GoPro?
Yep … GoPro on an arm
This panel looks great. The telephone switch is just keeps giving you great greeblies.
It really… REALLY does!!
Missed you Shawn! Great to see you doing your stuff again! ❤🎉
You kept putting out so many videos it was making me feel like a loser!!
Wow, I didnt know the stickers got updated to be real stickers. I still dont use Derek's old stickers because it sucks so bad trying to cut them out perfectly. Probably just going to through them away. That panel looks like it was done by an imagineer :)
I appreciate that more than you know and YES … the stickers are EVEN BETTER than before!
Great video. Very cool project. It was very funny to see you dancing in your chair to music. Yes more rants.
Hahahahaha! Glad you enjoyed my stupidity!
Ver nice. Good to see you back on air, too!
Thank you so much … and good to get one out!
The panel looks really good. I also like your TangentRants which I why I listen to all your PodCashes.

The panel looks awesome! As for working with bands. I used to work for a rock band and got to meet many musicians because of it. Like you, I did not ask for autographs, but luckily my best friend(also working for the band) would get stuff for me and my wife (I think he knew we didnt feel right asking).
That is smart! The other issue is pictures in the 90s and early 2000s were a pain! We didn’t have a cell phone to snap a quick picture … pictures were an ordeal!
@@trytofinishsomething I was lucky enough to get to do it during the smartphone era, but yeah pre smartphone was a pain for pics for sure!
So cool!
Thank you very much! Fun easy build!!
@@trytofinishsomething Your builds are always awesome to watch and to be fair, you may say they are simple but I can tell you have serious skills. However you are also good at making all your projects feel approachable for even a novice to try out. Love your content!
Thank you for the kind words and thank you for putting up with me!
Awesome work!
Thank you! Finally put some of my crap hoarding to use!
I painted mine without disassembling it I found the trick to a good paint job is a good primer and patience in the drying process I used gold spray paint with a dry brush ended up with a brass effect I’ve painted a couple of Mando blasters fun little project
Ohhh good idea! I did something a little similar with my Andor blaster! I would love to see some pictures!
I don’t do electronic media wouldn’t know how to send them thanks for your interest though

Love it
