The Ford F-150 in today’s review is the XLT with the Sport package. It ads some nice features like the console shifter and body colored bumpers along with a black grill. If you like the chrome package of the Ford F150 then this sport package might not be something you like ;)
For 2017 Ford is releasing the 2nd generation 3.5L Ecoboost engine geared to a new 10 speed transmission. It will now produce 375HP and 470 Lb torque! We also get the “STX” package back as an option. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

Yeah but runs 10 quarts of oil and a set (not variable) 18psi boost. The verdict is still out on the longevity of the 2.7l. That is a LOT of boost in such small displacement.
Evan Howell And? Your Evo isn't 4500lbs and isn't ever expected to tow 10,000lb up a 7 mile grade.

I’ve had a 3.5 and now the 5.0 would NEVER go back to the V6, blah blah blah my V6 has more this more that and is going to last longer ??? Ha ha ha Stick a Whipple on the V8 if you want to brag !! 11 second quarters and drive round town all day long at 1400 rpm !!

Just got 2019 V8 10 speed man it’s fast in sport mode no lag then when I had the 2018 2.7 EcoBoost worth every penny
F150s claimed me from the moment I started working at a Ford dealer last year. The 3.5 EcoBoost and 5.0 are by far my favorite engines. Being a tall guy, I feel more comfortable in a pickup truck. I've driven a 2005 Chevy Colorado for the last 5 years. It has leather, the crewcab, the 3.5L 5 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, and 190,000 miles. I love the truck, but when December hits, I'm hoping to get an F150. The sport package is by far my favorite package. Excellent video of the number 1 selling truck in America.

sport pkg looks really sharp on this rig! i have a '13 crew cab ram 1500 sport and love the monochromatic exterior.

Just got an F-150 XLT 5.0 V8 (Sport Package). I got it with a ton of options on top of a 302a package; including the same 20 inch wheels. Love this truck!
Been much talk about oil consumption in the V8. What is your experience? I am thinking about buying one but concerned about the oil issue.

I like the Sport package looks better to me... The main issue I have with "chrome" is that in many cases it's "chrome clad" and not actual chrome platting over the underlying material. I just like the "honest" look of the painted bumper, trim, etc. If only Ford offered that trim level with OE leather seats I may be driving one vs. my Edge Sport (which I still really like). Scott Warmbier you can ask your dealer to put in leather seats and they'll do it
Nono - actually my dealer will routinely add leather to trim levels that don't offer it - most of the time the leather is nicer (Katzkin kits) - the only issue is they usually charge $500-$800 over and above the kit price for the installation. It's something I could do if I set aside a full weekend (people think it takes a couple of hours until they do it themselves). Ive thought of upgrading a v6 Mustang to "premium" trim since you can't get a 2015 or newer v6 with the touch screen and leather.

Very good video and information. The sport package is really nice, I like it better than the Chrome. Can the SXT come in crew cab?
Love the Ford f-150 without all of the chrome. The color of it is exactly what I prefer & with a set of all black rims maybe 32" tires & a little bit of a suspension/body lift & maybe Roush exhaust system & a Airaid cold air intake. Then that would be my dream 4wd truck.

Hi Mike, just a quick note to let you know a properly equipped silverado 1500 will tow a class leading 12,500 lbs.
Love the start up sound on ford v8 it is unique, whether it is 4.6 ,5.4 or 5.0 same sound
Thank you for doing a review on a XLT 302a package , I own a 2015 with the Chrome pcks , I really don't see any difference with a 15-17 good looking trucks
Looks great. I'm not a fan of chrome at all. Got matte black grill and bumpers on my truck.
Ford managed to make the crewcab look so small yet so big . Tundras look so big, but not that big inside.

Just got one of these, FX4, Supercab, V8, 3:73 and looking forward to towing some shit. 10,900 rated. Sure, the 3.5's got me by 900 lbs but I'm thinking/hoping the V8 was the right choice. I think it definitely was but time will tell I suppose. The "scissor" doors for the cab can be a bit of a pain, but I wanted the extra bed space without making this boat even longer with the 157 in wheel base. 145 seems almost too long as it is...
Has the center console but the column shifter which I think is the best configuration as you have lots of extra space in the center without the shifter being in the way but still have the comfort, cup holders, phone slots, USB ports, etc. of the console. According to the dash, I got right at 21 MPG driving it home on the highway a few hundred miles, so it's not terrific on gas but that's to be expected. Might be able to squeeze an extra 1 or 2 with the 3.5 and a few extra lbs but buying a used turbo (esp if it had 100k+) seems like a ticking time bomb to me. I hope to get 300k+ out of the truck. Wish me luck.

Is that how it sounds with stock exhaust?? I bought one today but it wont be here until this weekend. The one I test drove was very quiet in the cab.

I see this 2017 XLT has the Android Auto preinstalled on the Sync 3. I purchased a 2016 XLT Sport with Sync 3 and I have read the 2016 Sync 3 trucks will be getting the Android Auto update before the end of the 2016 year. This is only 3 weeks away, do you know when the update is coming to the 2016 Sync 3 vehicles?

I like how the sport has the center console and sunroof, but I don’t want the 2.5L V6 is my only option the Lariat? You would think this sport package would have the sunroof.

The 1 thing I hate with the F150 is how the grill perimeter juts into the head lights. I wish there was an optional strait cut head light.
Agreed. It's the only thing I don't like about the new F-150s. Other than that the truck looks great.

NOT ALL of these comments are true. For e.g. - if you buy an XLT trim package you do not just 'get' a console shifter. You still have the option for column or console, etc. It's not just standard.

My truck is an 2017 F-150 EcoBoost Double Turbo White Gold and when you turn on the sport it runs faster than the F-150 Sport
The manager at the dealership handed the keys to a 3.5 turbo and told me to take it home for the night. after I kept yammering about getting a V8 in the truck. Welp I quickly forgot about the V8 and did the paperwork the next morning.
LOL, yeah the EcoBoost is a great and powerful engine :)
redd7188 I was the same way, all I wanted was the V8, until I drove the 3.5 ecoboost with the 10 speed, almost night and day difference in power, and the transmission shifted smoothly....I'll be getting the 3.5l in my next Ford

I like the blacked out front because the chrome really highlights how damn ugly the current F150 is from front on. I am not a fan of the shape of the headlights and grill.
