@@DanielZH There's a new option in sound settings on ps5 right above where you choose Linear PCM, Dolby Atmos,... called Sidetone Volume, I wonder what it does 🤔
@@fadytamim3509 That's exactly Monitoring, for hearing yourself or another sound around you (it uses a headset mic to play it on the headset), and this way it cancells the passive noise Isolation. more effective than the Pulse 3D Monitor button also, it can get louder.

Hi, thanks so much, upgrading from Pulse 3D to this one is a good choice, the mic is similar (if not better), but the audio quality, comfort, controls, and the driver are very good in this price range, as I don't use mic from headset, I got this headset, if you really need a good mic with headphones, it's not a good one, otherwise, it really worth over Pulse 3D and is a good upgrade in my opinion, I love it! I can hear details I could never with Inzone H3-7-9 nor Pulse 3D, so it's clearly a win, I'ma test and compare 3D audio and more to Pulse 3D and others coming soon!

Thanks for watching, I've tested over 20 games with Native 3D Audio support over the past year and most of them add so much bass in 100Hz in 3D mode, that's why I reduced it in general, some of them are: Returnal, GOW ragnarok, OW2, and more, but some others behave differently, for example Spider-man 2 doesn't apply a specific high bass EQ on 3D Audio mode.

Yes! The sound is louder than Pulse 3D in my test, but about comfort, it is a bit more comfortable, still hurts my ears after a few hours.

You should also mention a possible defect I had in mine and made me return them, which were distant clicks and pops during silence. They sounded like what you'd hear in a fireplace or a fizzy drink. Seemed to be the battery, as even with audio off/muted it did not stop.

Hi, thanks. the V1 is to target Neutral sound (with a bit more bass too)
The 3D is for games that support 3D Audio, as in many tests I made in the past, most games with Native 3D audio increase 100Hz bass a lot, that's why I reduced it as a point to start with.
the MW3 EQ is for these mixes: TV, SoundBar, Headphones, and yes, for louder footstep sounds.

I just my elites. And I play warzone only. Should I have the channels on defualt 2ch or 7.1 in the ps5 sound settings?
Once you have it connected wirelessly, it'll only be 2CH, and for warzone, use Linear PCM with 3D audio, see how it works! in MW3 it was good.

Since you have a LG c2 like me. Can you please test if you can connect to it via Bluetooth? I have both ps5 and xsx and I wonder if I could use it while playing on Xbox as well
You should be able to connect to any Bluetooth device. In any case, for gaming do not use a Bluetooth connection to the TV, it is not for gaming and has terrible latency. If you want to use it on Xbox just connect it physically to the aux port on the controller.
It does connect to the TV and other devices I tested, but as Netomas mentioned, the delay is very high, it's best to use AUX or wireless.
@@DanielZH I got it today and when you have a soundbar and connect the headset via Bluetooth it will switch to soundbar output immediately. So it's faster for me to plug mini jack while I'm playing on Xbox than to turn off the soundbar.
I'm kinda disappointed with the sound quality. The treble is horrendously over the top, to the point it hurts. I'm tweaking the eq to find the sweet spot but so far it's not going well..
Daniel, the Pulse Expore had higher audio latency than the original Pulse 3D, how does the Pulse Elite compare?
Hi, haven't tested Pulse Elite latency yet, I'm waiting for Rtings to do it and then I do my personal test, the one thing I noticed is AUX also has latency due to the processor being engaged too!
@@DanielZH Interesting, when you do your test please also test the exact numbers of the AUX latency, also if you can compare the BT and AUX latency to the original Pulse 3D it would be even better!
Me and my buddy have one, and they sound great, both mic and audio... literally the only thing I have an issue with is my cat tries to chew on it lol
My PULSE Elite is disconnecting lately like every 10 min mid game and I have to remove the usb and put it again so it reconnects which is frustrating during final circle of resurgence Ranked! Anyone experiencing the same?

@@DanielZH I always connect it to the front so it doesn't get damaged overtime from the heat it gets from the back. But tbh after yesterday's ps5 system update it didn't disconnect once! Maybe they fixed something I donno, I'll keep u posted if it happens again
@@fadytamim3509 Yes maybe an issue that got fixed which they mentioned on the website too, as I didn't have any issues on PC, so it was probably a PS5 software problem.
Hey man I been having the same issue too so you aren’t the only one. I’m just waiting for a new headset and usb software update.
I've had dropouts during games and the party chat. I've since moved the dongle to the front usb port. Plus I've got this weird clicking sound if I'm talking or chewing... even if it's switched off, I still get this annoying sound. Had to put some plastic between the ear cups and the headset frame. Super disappointed at the mo. Not the upgrade I expected to be fair.

In my opinion yes, the sound quality is SO MUCH better, but, if you already have Pulse 3D, maybe you can try other brands like Arctis, the mic isn't that good in Elite.

I have alot of background noise so i love the noise cancellation in the mic. Makes for a better experience for my friends. However, the headset keeps randomly disconnecting and if i mute unmute alot the mic will end up staying muted. Then i have to unplug the usb to make it work again.
Interesting, I have been using it for over 10 hours and I didn't have a single disconnection, which USB are you using?

I've had disconnection issues with my Pulse Elite. I returned it for a replacement headset, and that has also disconnected twice now. Unsure what to do ..

Currently, due to many issues this headset has (clicking, high pitch noise, disconnections), I do recommend 7P, but if these get fixed by a software patch, then maybe this is a better choice.
@@DanielZH is it going to get patched? a word from Sony would be helpful. I love the sound but disconnects are a big issue and I even disabled my 2.4ghz channel and added a dock. I love the sound so much, all I need to hear is that it will work on the PS5 Pro, pinky swear, and I'll just wait. I had no issue with mic, friends say it is great.

I'm in touch with Sony and The store I bought it from. They said repair is needed. I don't think this will fix the mic quality.
It's not Elite is my answer for any review!
The Elite is definitely more comfortable, the old 3D model made my ears hurt rather quickly whule elite's don't really make my ears hurt (and I do have big ears lol). But my issue is that it doesn't fit tight around my head, so whenever I move my head, I hear this wobbly sound - one can get used to it, but it's definitely not pleasant. I heard lot of people have issues with disconnecting, mine disconnected only twice over the week which is fine I guess? But what I can't handle is this weird like small bubbles sound. After 30-60 minutes of use this sound appears in the right cup (rarely left cup), at first I thought it's just a sound coming from the game (like small droplets hitting an iron floor or something) but when I turned off the volume for my home screen I could still hear these sounds - and what's even more shocking is that the sound persists even when turned off.
I'm honestly a bit let down with this headset really. Especially after having pulse 3D for 3 years, these feel cheaper in material quality, sound itself is obviously better (even though I think Pulse 3D are more immersive)
Whenever you do the review for pulse explore plz compare it in comparison of a headset (preferably steel series artics nova pro wireless) and let us know which device will give the best sound quality for shooting games and single player story mode games. According to me for story mode games its good and for shooters too its very good still i find the steel series headset is better for call of duty. The pulse explore is better for spiderman but in case of spiderman i cant make out exactly which one i like
Also let us know the EQ setting for pulse explore for both type of games
If you can do show if there is any changes while using linear pcm or dolby atmos while also using 3d audio
Also as pulse explore is a earphones and people will also use it for hearing music through Bluetooth please compare it to other wireless earbuds for this use like for example airpods, samsung buds pro, Sony etc

It is very weird, mine do not sound anything like yours. Its actually much better than I expected. It definitely sounds better or comparable to all other midrange and budget headsets I've tested, a lot better than the pulse 3D and miles ahead of the dual sense microphone. The only situation that it sounds more similar to yours is when I am in a very noisy environment (vacuum cleaner, bathroom vent, etc).
Makes me wonder if it is not something with your setup, maybe background noise, interference... Or maybe youre very unluck and got 2 bad units.

Interesting, I've tested it in the room where there is no noise, also tested 2 more units in the store (but it was quiet) however, there might be something here, I updated all of them too, but I'll look and try to see if there's something causing that low quality audio in mine and will provide info in a new video.
I'm suspecting very poor quality control. I've heard about a lot of different issues with the Elites. Mine have something loose inside of the right year cup but now I'm afraid of returning it and getting a worse issue. I actually might go with another headset to be safe. That's really unfortunate since the sound quality and the amount of features you get for what you pay is an incredible value.
Do you think the shooter eq is still the best for hearing footsteps?
For this headset probably no, I'd suggest the new V1 EQ for most cases, if the footstep is in Bass (100Hz) than you can increase that +1dB

I really like Sony's periphery in general but they definitely got some serious issues with their mics across all first-party headsets. Honestly, I don't see much higher quality increase of the mic audio compared even to Sony Gold. Yes, noise cancellation is good (but at what price?...). Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but from "ELITE" series with complete separate Mic I expect at least a level of PC low-budget analogs that already do it times cleaner.
The biggest problem with the mic: Trying to reduce noise even if there's no noise, and why? because the headset doesn't have that much processing power to do it, that's why they should give us an option to turn it off if we don't want it (the main reason DualSense and Pulse 3D on AUX sound much better), the mic module is fine, the processing is so bad and I don't know why Sony forced it even in AUX for Elite...

Yes! not only on PS5 but also on PC, I needed to disconnect and reconnect, I thought it was a problem in my unit... will cover this one in a new video too, so sad...
I did as well. What fixed it for me was moving my ps5. It was behind my tv. Things like routers can also cause this. Once I moved my ps5 and usb lossless audio receiver, the problem went away.

Man, do they ever look like the pulse 3d. I'm sure they're still 50 times better then anything Turtle Beach is selling these days. I'm going on my 14th (and I kid you not, the 14th) warranty replacement for the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 MAX Gen 2. First it started with the Stealth 700 Gen2, then after about 5 replacements they decided to send me an "upgrade", being the Stealth 700 Max Gen 2, and when I thought it couldn't get any worse, they shocked me. 14th warranty replaced unit should be here Tuesday, I'm sure I'll still end up having to use my Pulse 3D once it's delivered.. whatever happened to you get what you pay for? Damn.
there's an issue that it makes high pitch noises when playing audio, IDK why but everyone else mentioned it too, hope Sony fixes that by an update.
Subscribed! Audeze Penrose is only $199. Arctic Pro (Non Nova) is only $199, Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 with a great mic is only $199. For someone who talks a lot with friends, Sony NEEEEDS to fix this before we just upgrade to another brand and remember how bad we were screwed over by them on this microphone.

Of course, it could be that there is a defective batch or that Sony can fix the problem with a software update
@@FCN-Glubberer94 I only tested on a PC after the replacement in the store, in the house I only tested 2 and this only happened in 8 hours of usage when I was on PC, it's hard to tell if it's a hardware problem, it could be a software issue. tonight it was fine after I changed my router s' Wi-Fi frequency band.

Preordered these and my microphone sounded even worse, it was literally cutting the first part of anything I would say. Returned them.
For the future I’ll buy some better headphones and a wireless mic. ALL gaming heads sets are garbage
I also experienced cutting off when I was talking quietly due to high Noise reduction, I am in the same booth, best way is to have a separated mic + a nice headset, otherwise Arctis series is a better choice than Pulse Elite.

These heads are very good. I don’t like the fact that they took out voice chat. You’re not able to lower your team voice down at all. That’s the reason why I got rid of them sound is very good.
Hi, at least it works with the DualSense Edge FN button so you can control the game and voice with that, but yeah that could be good, if you don't mind the microphone, it's a very good choice for PS5! I kept it because I don't care about the mic.

I'm hoping that you tested this off-camera as well, but when you tested the DeWalt on microphone aux vs wireless, you held it in a very different position/orientation
In the wireless test, you're holding it in a way that the nozzle is pointed horizontally and is extending past the microphone towards the right side of the camera shot
In the aux test, you're holding the handle end much lower, and so the nozzle is pointing upwards diagonally and seems to be pointed almost directly at the microphone
The difference could easily be enough to overwhelm the noise reduction and could explain the different mic performance between wireless and aux
Hi, yes I made multiple tests, I confirm AUX still has the noise cancellation engaged, but it's less aggressive.
