Thank you for showing people this new pistol. It is not cheap but it is a great gun and hopefully the word will get out more about how awesome this thing is.
Thanks for the insight on this pistol. The sort of "unsaid consensus" I'm gleaning from the web... is that these guns might actually be superior to the Sig Sauers they're based upon. MAC's torture tests were pretty surprising. Do you have any subjective insight (feel, fit, finish, shooting) on how the Arex compares to a present day P229, P226, etc.? Thanks.
These seem like great firearms. The trigger looked phenomenal for being stock. I think this is the only pistol to finish MAC's gauntlet test. One bit of constructive criticism, the numerous fade outs were distracting. Other than that, another great review.
I really like mine, YB. Thanks for a great look and your usual excellent detailed information! If you ever decide you need to part with that P225 original, I'm your huckleberry!
I just picked up one yesterday...shot 200 rounds through it...very well made.single action is great...love the option of carrying decocked or cocked and locked depending ...where I am at in my city and time of day...
We shot this pistol again yesterday in a VS video with one of my Beretta 92 pistols....Don't tell anyone.... but I will tell you that we continue to be very impressed with this pistol, it is a Great Shooter and it has been very reliable, I can't say anymore then that or my Subscribers will kick me off the channel. LOL. Beretta Sr.
I have this pistol on order from KVAR and can't wait to get it. After the crap that SIG has been producing in the last 4-5 years this looks like the good old Sig's we're used to. It's my opinion that Sig is using is coasting on it's past excellent reputation even recently it's been cutting cost corners. It just goes to show that if AREX can make a profit on a high quality pistol at $600 then most Sig's are ridiculously over priced by 2 or 3 times.
We have been shooting it a bit more, and it is still running 100% and Young Beretta can already shoot it very fast and accurately, much better then I can. Great Pistol! Just thought I would give you an update on things. :) Beretta Sr.
Very nice video, very beautiful weapon, thank you. I like the Rex, I would like to have a black finish Rex Zero 1 S chambered in 10mm with a capacity of 21 cartridges.
Prepping for Zombies I think it is too honestly. Never heard of it but still.... To be completely frank, I really try to buy guns with the slide riding on the inside of the frame like the cz75 series. That's just what I like and have become used to, love them!! Rarely buy other guns, except in my 1st 4 years of handgun ownership. I had a ton of HKs and XDM's.
I would love to own this pistol after seeing military arms channel run 1000 rounds without issue. sadly its way out of my budget right now. probably gonna get the ruger 9e after the videos you have made about it.
Yeah, it really is a good price. I hate having to spend 35+ dollars on 1 magazine, so I was extremely happy to find out how low the price was for extra spare clipazines for the Rex Zero 1S :) - Young Beretta
+BERETTA9mmUSA ; That is the truth. Gander Mt stuck me @ 55 bucks for a .45 mag for my XD. One thing I did like is that it works on my XDm and my XD Service Model. I will go to EBay next time.
Thanks for the info vid. From everything I've read it seems like a lot of pistol at a very competitive price. If I come across one I'm gonna scoop it up.
Excellent review as always. Waiting for this in .40 cal.. And having it D.L.C. coated. Diamond like coating. For boating, snorkeling, jet skis, etc.. i.e. salt water applications.
On price alone I think I need to pick one of these up. Is it wrong that the LCI is the only thing that turns me off of this gun? WIsh they had a model without it.
Cool gun, I was thinking of buying the compact whenever they actually start importing it. Or if they make a 45 version eventually I may grab one of those as well. The area of the world where these pistols are made creates some outstanding firearms
Jeremy Jones, you can't top Eastern Europe's superb craftsmanship. I own a Springfield DXm 40s&w that was made in Croatia. The workmanship on that fine pistol is simply outstanding.
Keep in contact with me as I am interested in how you like both over a summer of shooting. Also please let me know what you think of the G10 grip after a couple of shooting sessions. I appreciate it Sir. Beretta Sr.
You're a lefty, can you reach the decocker with your left hand? I want one of those pistol my girlfriend is right handed and I am a lefty so we can fire the pistol. The pistols have I have set up for left handed for me.
Young Berreta, I too am a lefty. I just became acquainted with this model. I have never handled one. How is the Rex continuing to perform? I am genuinely interested. Very cool looking and functioning firearm. Thanks for the videos!
I Just Purchased my Second 9mm PPQ-M2 !!! Since I Absolutely Love my First one I got a second one !! How could I pass it up at $519.99 on sale and on Layaway !!! I'm Not a Fan of SA/DA guns with Hammers (Sig's) although Sig knows how to do it right !!
Excellent, informative review. You left Nothing to the imagination. I plan on buying the Arex Rex Zero 1 in the near future to start the new year off on a positive note. Your video just set me on the right course. Subbed. By the way, I went to Stainless Steel Guide Rods web site as per your recommendation, but there was no place on their site to register?
82 Luft: No need for you to reply regarding Stainless Steel Guide Rods. They have no sign in system. Just click on "shop" and keep truckin'. P. S. the company was good enough to quickly respond to my email query.
You can generally find a Rex Zero 1s for around 600 dollars, you will most likely though have to order one online as all of our local gun stores didn't get one in for a very long time.. - BERETTA9mmUSA
love the channel guys...ive been wondering if the slide lock functions in a way that if you have the slide locked back and push down to release, is it possible to release the slide and decock in one motion. or is there somewhat of a stoppage and you need to push down twice so to speak to decock after releasing the slide...kind of hard to explain hopefully you understand what i mean
Somebody I think from Slovenia posted an answer to this question many months ago I believe on MAC's channel in the comments section of his first video on the REX Zero 1. Although he said it was difficult to articulate precisely why in words, he said basically that it was not possible to do accidentally what you are talking about here (releasing the slide and decocking in one motion)...you would have to release the slide, and then basically would have to let go and then push down again in order to decock the gun. I have tried myself to see if I can decock the gun accidentally after hitting the slide release, and have found that I am unable to do so.
Chris we just couldn't get our hands on one. So we just waited till we came across one and once we saw it, we immediately picked it up. - Young Beretta
Donovan Ping they are not compatible at all... the magazines have a completely different cutout for the mag release so they wouldn’t even lock into the PPQ... The Canik TP9 magazines work in the PPQ M2. - B9USA
I DEFINITELY need to look into this gun. xp Might just end up on my list. Almost seems as if the guys that made the guns left Sig and started a new company xp.
We agree with you, and this pistol has held up to some horrible torture test by the Military Arms Channel I think it is called. Check that torture test out. Wow is all I could say. Beretta Sr.
I love your Channel !! I think this is a Sig P226 Clone...Try the Grand Power X-Calibur ! or an EAA Witness Elite Limited Series Pistol !!!....Speaking about Clones, Remington came out with the RP9 which looks like a Ruger American, Walther Creed and S&W M&P .... All Boring !..Patent no longer pending with NOTHING New and Innovative. We need more steel & Stainless guns with some Class and Soul ! Also guys, please try out the Sig P220 Elite 10mm !!!.. IMO ...I had to vent ! lol :>)
We put the aftermarket solid steel rod in the Rex Zero 1s for more durability over the hollowed out and quite honestly crappy stock metal guide-rod ( it did not look, work or feel like quality ) to be totally honest, while the rest of the pistol is superb as far as quality levels go and it does have a little less perceived recoil with the new solid steel guide rod in the pistol. - ssguiderods.com/shop/arex-rex-zero-1s-stainless-steel-guide-rod/ - Young Beretta
You know it takes more time labor to take a solid rod and cnc weight out of the center. The stock rod is also coated. It is purposeful. While I agree the plain steel has better looks, in reality thats what Arex manufactures, but a few steps back.
Sighs Internally the stock Rod was garbage, the metal they use to put them together is inferior as when I took a close look at it and handled it the Rod had deep scratches in it where the metal was significantly damaged before we even used the pistol.... And the finish on the Rod is a joke look around at all of the videos where people have used the Rex Zero 1 and shot 50-200 rounds, after that many rounds there is no finish left on the Rod, so the finish quite honestly isn't protecting anything... So, the SSGuideRod is way to go.. It's machined better (solid piece of steel) and it's made out of a quality stainless steel material.. - Young Beretta.
Supposibly it's available in 40 and 45 but when searching I can only find information on the 9mm. Can anyone tell me what the magazine capacity for the 40 and 45 are? Are they called different model numbers like Glocks are?
BT makes a good product, we like them for 4th Gen Glocks..... they are a bit more expensive and they do not hand out their products for reviews very often. That being the case we still think they make a good product and we do have a couple reviews of their GR's. Beretta Sr.
BERETTA9mmUSA I have had my 299 legion for a few months now in 9mm and its far and away the best shooting gun straight out of the box I have personally owned or shot. one con though is be prepared to have some ware on the finish if you carry it...for what they go for sig could have made the finish stronger.
BERETTA9mmUSA I have actually been looking to have Wilson do a bronze combat upgrade to a gun for over a year now and can't bring myself to do one of my Sigs but this could def be an option if I can find one. good review btw.
May be a quality pistol, but it looks kind of redundant and unnecessary. Does the world really need a Sig clone?? But I guess the price point would be the most attractive feature. Almost half of what a Sig costs. Personally I don't like a bulky Beretta style grip.
You are wrong this gun isnt copy of sig P226. This gun was copy of Serbian/Yugo CZ99, because engineer Bozidar Blagojevic was father of CZ99 in late 80s. The frame design was influenced by the SIG P226 albeit with some ambidextrous controls like the Walther P88 Compact. So CZ99 isnt copy of this 2 guns, it was very similar but not is a copy. Bozidar Blagojevic left Zastava Arms factory in early 90s, and made his own company and made first BB22/23 guns then B210 Gepard as upgraded and modernized models of CZ99. Zastava Arms dont wanna bought this new series of gun instead they just made new version of CZ99 (999, EZ9)... After death of his father, son sell this gun to Slovenian factory Arex and they made this excellent gun as REX 1 not B210 Gepard...so this is real story about this gun....
Saw the torture test of this gun on the MAC channel and it passed with flying colors
Just wanted to say I always enjoy the videos you two guys do and I appreciate the time and effort you put into them. Thanks.
Thank you for showing people this new pistol. It is not cheap but it is a great gun and hopefully the word will get out more about how awesome this thing is.
The slide stop/decocker is an usual feature. I'm sure other manufacturers will follow suit.
Thanks for the insight on this pistol. The sort of "unsaid consensus" I'm gleaning from the web... is that these guns might actually be superior to the Sig Sauers they're based upon.
Do you STILL love it??? I've seen a few reviews but none lately!
Wow barely any jump cuts and no over editing. Totally enjoyed this vid, super informative and just all around awesome video. Subbed!!!
Love the review with the emphasis on left and right handed shooters.
great review, I can see why this is a pistol really worth purchasing.
I just picked up one yesterday...shot 200 rounds through it...very well made.single action is great...love the option of carrying decocked or cocked and locked depending ...where I am at in my city and time of day...
Oh nice. Am a lefty too. Thanks for showing how to manipulate the decocker with left hand.
I've had my eyes on one of these but haven't yet pulled the trigger on getting one. I think it looks good at a good price.
Love that pistol,
A great review of an interesting pistol. As a Southpaw shooter that's a fan of Sigs, it's definitely worth a look!
my wife bought me one for my birthday,, great gun
I wish my wife would buy me a gun. I have to hide a new gun from her.
I never heard of this firearm either until i saw Mac's torture test.It did very well.Good to see Sr. shooting with both eyes open...finally. ;)
CWB1863 - check out Polenar Tactical on TH-cam. They'll probably be using more firearms that we'll get in the future line this was
Hell with, I will add one to my collection...after another good review. I have several Sigs, will be a good comparison.
How did it compare
I'm very intrigued by this handgun and the Canik Elite. They have both caught my attention
Awesome!
Thank you for posting!

I agree I love my cz 75 p01 and I got a tristar s 120 (cz75) clone and they are great shooters
just picked up a CZ 75 and I love it, very solid and shoots very well, just wish it had a little more room on the top slide
Finally a review of rex zero from a 'lefty'' just like I want how to manipulate that decocker with left hand. Thank you for your review.
excellent review thank you.
I would love to own this pistol after seeing military arms channel run 1000 rounds without issue. sadly its way out of my budget right now. probably gonna get the ruger 9e after the videos you have made about it.

Magazine price isn't bad at all!

I actually ordered this after shooting the Sig equivalent because of the slide release decocker combo
Alien gear is finally making Holsters and shells for the Rex.
Great review
Thanks man, i'm glad you enjoyed it. As I said in the video there will definitely be more to come on this pistol in the future on our channel.. - YB
I am looking forward to taking a look at this when it hits my stores locally ...
The hard plastic grips are a put off at first, but the rest of the pistol has been terrific! Thanks for checking out the Channel. Beretta Sr.
A fine firearm, indeed!!
The First 9mm I Ever Considered was the Beretta 92FS UNTIL I HELD IT IN MY HAND !!!!
MUCH TOO BIG FOR MY HAND.
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION !!!
good vid! Keep it up
On price alone I think I need to pick one of these up.
Is it wrong that the LCI is the only thing that turns me off of this gun?
WIsh they had a model without it.
Sig maybe, FN FNX definately, with a glock non flush magazine
I love pistols

Jeremy Jones, you can't top Eastern Europe's superb craftsmanship. I own a Springfield DXm 40s&w that was made in Croatia. The workmanship on that fine pistol is simply outstanding.
That's some pretty dirt there!!!
got my compact today and the g10 grips for my full.AWESOME!!
Keep in contact with me as I am interested in how you like both over a summer of shooting. Also please let me know what you think of the G10 grip after a couple of shooting sessions. I appreciate it Sir. Beretta Sr.
BERETTA9mmUSA I will let you know.
It looks like an updated Zastava EZ9 with a safety. The magazine has a similair cutout like the Zastava. I wonder if it will fit?
You're a lefty, can you reach the decocker with your left hand? I want one of those pistol my girlfriend is right handed and I am a lefty so we can fire the pistol. The pistols have I have set up for left handed for me.
How do you like the Zero 1 compared to your PPQ? I also have a PPQ but would like to own one these in the future also.
Good Job JR.!!! You're a great reviewer !!!
Thanks for that, I appreciate it very much! Young Beretta.
Young Berreta, I too am a lefty. I just became acquainted with this model. I have never handled one. How is the Rex continuing to perform? I am genuinely interested. Very cool looking and functioning firearm. Thanks for the videos!
Now you need a review on a Grand Power K100 MK12.
but can you use sig mags in it?
I Just Purchased my Second 9mm PPQ-M2 !!!
Since I Absolutely Love my First one I got a second one !!
How could I pass it up at $519.99 on sale and on Layaway !!!
I'm Not a Fan of SA/DA guns with Hammers (Sig's) although Sig knows how to do it right !!
Debating on this versus the PPQ. Can't decide which one yet.
Reminds me off EZ9, Zastava factory product.
Batoni Daboni
I believe they just improved Zastava CZ99 line of the guns.

in your p225 what hollow points do you use?
what was the ball park price point on this pistol if you don't mind me asking?

Chris we just couldn't get our hands on one. So we just waited till we came across one and once we saw it, we immediately picked it up. - Young Beretta
BERETTA9mmUSA it's a fantastic gun! Can't wait till 2017 for the compacts to hit here.
Those mags look the same as the PPQ M2 . Are they compatible by chance? Thx
Donovan Ping they are not compatible at all... the magazines have a completely different cutout for the mag release so they wouldn’t even lock into the PPQ...
The Canik TP9 magazines work in the PPQ M2. - B9USA

BERETTA9mmUSA - Ohhhh ok awesome! Thx !!
Hello, nice video! Can you please tell me where you got the magz for 25 dollars PLZZZ!!!
www.preppergunshop.com/arex-rex-zero-1s-magazine-arex-rex-zero-1-magazine-9mm-17-rounds-black-steel
BERETTA9mmUSA Thank you!
didn't know clipazine was a word
Does the guide rod that comes with the pistol made of plastic or metal????
It seems to be a cheaper hollow metal GR. We prefer the solid GR and the price is low on the replacement right now at SSGuiderod.
Beretta Sr
I like the gun, but I'm curious what kind of watch you're wearing 😜
Thomas S it's a fossil not sure what model
Wow that's neat.
Beretta Sr.
***** Thanks for responding good sir! Yes, Tim from MAC is doing God's work.
watch military arms channel torture test of it beretta jr. it blows the legion away. rex does better than every gun. with the glock and ppq behind it
Where did you order the mags?
I love your Channel !! I think this is a Sig P226 Clone...Try the Grand Power X-Calibur ! or an EAA Witness Elite Limited Series Pistol !!!....Speaking about Clones, Remington came out with the RP9 which looks like a Ruger American, Walther Creed and S&W M&P .... All Boring !..Patent no longer pending with NOTHING New and Innovative. We need more steel & Stainless guns with some Class and Soul ! Also guys, please try out the Sig P220 Elite 10mm !!!.. IMO ...I had to vent ! lol :>)
6:36 it looked like pulling the hammer took no effort.
the hammer on mine is super stiff and I need my off hand to put it back really
also, why did you opt for an aftermarket rod and whats wrong with the factory one?
thanks
BERETTA9mmUSA I did notice your factory rod was 2 tone, was that from slide wear or came like that?
Supposibly it's available in 40 and 45 but when searching I can only find information on the 9mm.
Can anyone tell me what the magazine capacity for the 40 and 45 are?
Are they called different model numbers like Glocks are?
the only model out right now is a 9mm. you can get that in standard, tactical and compact. no word on 40 and 45 yet.
Slovenia? Where is that?
Slovenia = Where Donald Trump's wife came from.
and the mags nd gun looks like a cz 99
How many Guide Rod companies you have. what happen to BT Guide Rods? lol
BT makes a good product, we like them for 4th Gen Glocks..... they are a bit more expensive and they do not hand out their products for reviews very often. That being the case we still think they make a good product and we do have a couple reviews of their GR's. Beretta Sr.
U realty said "clipozine" ! Haha!
Yeah, I just couldn't help myself not to say it... LOL I really do like me a good high quality clipazine... - Young Beretta
👍
Anyone know if the CTC laser grip for the p226 fit this gun?
Wow did they have to pay Sig for the P229 rip off? I'll stick to real thing but it's a nice gun seeing as I love my p229 legion.
I picked up a new P229 Legion, and I am really looking forward to
taking it to the range and making a video on it.
Beretta Sr.
BERETTA9mmUSA I have had my 299 legion for a few months now in 9mm and its far and away the best shooting gun straight out of the box I have personally owned or shot. one con though is be prepared to have some ware on the finish if you carry it...for what they go for sig could have made the finish stronger.

Soo, now in 2021 you are 1911 guy xD.
10mm +P+
does anybody know where to find the aftermarket grips for these? cant find anything
Arne Shade Go to k-var.com website select parts and accessories select handguns and 3 separate hogue grips will be available for $68.00.
They make their own mags
This gun would be #1 in the world if the safety was removed.
May be a quality pistol, but it looks kind of redundant and unnecessary. Does the world really need a Sig clone?? But I guess the price point would be the most attractive feature. Almost half of what a Sig costs. Personally I don't like a bulky Beretta style grip.
Still like my Ruger SR9 with the 17 round clip.
still like my M11a1 with my 20 round mag
The damn compact SR series can hold up 17 in 9mm and 15 in 40 and is a much more compact gun, not even close.
I like my mosin with a clip but never liked a glock with a clip but I love it with a magazine.
I guess in Europe, they have no gun copy right laws. Nice gun though.

After death of his father, son sell this gun to Slovenian factory Arex and they made this excellent gun as REX 1 not B210 Gepard...so this is real story about this gun....
Thanks for the update.
np mate...here it is B210 Gepard
www.nbinat.rs/index.php/products-2/pistols/pistol-b210-2#1-pistol-b210-gepard
Interesting. Looks I'll need to get one. thanks.
yes u should buy one, because this is one excellent gun...
That hammer tho...and that white lettering..looks...air soft
That is one ugly, generic looking brick of a weapon. That said, I like the control group on it.
