Oh don't worry man, we all know EXACTLY what you're talking about with the new book smell 🤣🤣. It's the best feeling when you crack it open for the first time ahah
What I love the most is seeing my collection evolving throught the years. Even if I unhaul sometimes, there's still some titles I keep in my collection, despise knowing I would never re-read them, cause I just remember the moment I bought them and read them and it makes me feel something when I see them on my shelves.
If you're not out there sniffing books, are you even a bibliophile?? Wonderful video, I've never felt more cozy than listening to this on a Sunday morning 🎉
I’ve started reading manga because I couldn’t wait for another season of anime. Now I get sometimes disappointed watching anime when it’s not portrayed based on the manga. Reading manga has been an awesome experience except the wallet, hahaha!
Daniel what's always made your channel special is that you're authentic and we feel like we know you even though you don't know us. I can relate to like 99% of what you say which is pretty cool and I'm sure your other viewers feel the same way. It makes me realize I'm not alone and there are other people out there who are just like me. Just keep being you man we love it. Hope you're having a good weekend. I miss the podcast btw. Hope Rex and Tristan are doing good.
The reason I love manga is that it offers me a unique escape. Reflecting on my personal traits, I’ve come to understand that I’ve grown naturally harsh due to my mental state and environmental factors. I’ve also realized that I tend to be quite closed-minded about many things. However, when I immerse myself in manga, especially shounen series like Dragon Ball, it transports me back to a simpler time. For that brief moment, everything feels okay. I can breathe, relax, and truly enjoy the experience.
Nothing weird about liking the smell of books imo. I think an under appreciated element of physical collecting is that it’s actually a full sensory experience. The visual element is obvious but there’s also the tactile experience of holding and manipulating a physical item, and smell is definitely a part of that too.
Yes!!! The smell Daniel! Finally, someone that appreciates the smell of manga as I do😂! You’re not the only one man lol! It’s really a thing! I got your back on this one, as weird as it might sound to others haha
1:50 yes this needs to be said, would like to hear more people talk about the manga they read instead of always hearing "oh yeah i bought that a while ago but haven't gotten to it yet" or "i heard great things about it and picked it up but haven't read it yet"
Share the Dragon Ball love! Any video made with passion begets more passion because your drive shines through. I also just did a dragon ball/z re read the first half of this year and somehow already want to do it again. There was some magic in them there pages
I gotta admit, I'm pretty jealous of American and Canadian bookshops. I'm from the UK, and here Waterstones, Smiths don't have the same facilities tbh. Tho they are usually on high streets with Costa so there's not that far to go, but just to have that experience must be awesome. Edit: been watching a few of your vids and before you mentioned unsubscribing, I subbed.
I love my collection. I've tried to cultavate it to manga, I'll read multiple times. There are some series i definitely regret selling and have been thinking about getting them, but the vols are too expensive sometimes or just gone😂😂
This is going to sound weird but man I've missed you! Haha I haven't been reading manga or watching anime very much this year so haven't been watching your videos 😢 The day is always better after watching your videos.
Yes true facts here art in manfa varies from slam dunk to dbz and modern day chainsawman. Also manga readers get to be raven we see the future before the anime.
hey peps, have you watched space dandy? it’s basically the anime version of johnny bravo lol. you might like it if you haven’t already watched it. hope all is well💜
Hello Daniel! First of all fantastic video as always!🎉 Please do a Dragon Ball video! I'm going to have my own place soon so excited to organize my manga collection just how I want it..also the new book smell is the best! What are you reading at the moment? Any recommendations? Greetings from Greece, all the best!
Thank you! I’ve been reading Dragonball and a manga called Darwin’s Game, it has not been released physically here in America, but I’ve been reading it digitally. Recommendations for recent stuff Sakamoto Days has been great, Boy’s Abyss is a good character drama ( not for kids) I’ve also been reading Pokémon Adventure manga and really been having a good time with that series as well
I picked up all of Silver Spoon, at RightStufAnime before they were merged with CrunchyRoll, I’ve seen a few volumes here and there at bookstores, you could check Amazon/BooksAMillion and see if they carry it. That’s wild that CrunchyRoll doesn’t carry it!?
@@DanielPeppers yeah they have like 2 random volumes listed & are marked sold out. Been that way for a while. It's super odd. Thanks for the tip though!

What novels have you recently read? Cause I'd be interested to know since I read both.
Dragon Ball please!! I’ve watched it but want to start reading it. Need some motivation
you getting the Vagabond Definitive Editions?
Oh absolutely! I’m excited for them to start releasing those editions
Where'd you get your volumes of Silver Spoon? Crunchyroll doesn't carry it for some reason & it's SUPER annoying.

I feel the same way with watching anime less, and I prefer reading manga.
