So I just hit them up. Pay them like 5k gold (which I have more gold then I know what to do with), and they just craft everything for me. For instance, at V7 I had a guildie make me a full set of medium armor, a dagger, and one hand sword, and a bow. I'm V9 now, nearly V10. When I hit 10, Imma hit him up for new gear!
Another great resource i'm surprised you didn't mention, are the guild traders in the major cities. Honestly, if you do some research and check each city and their grouping of 5 or so guild traders, you can usually find some great gear/sets for some decent prices. Sure, most of the items you'll find will be hiked up in price, but if you have the spare gold, why not. Also, if you have a mic or just message some players that craft the gear you need, you can negotiate prices/trade items with them too.
