If those ideas were put out to the Sith, the empire would probably had won the war. And as well as being a Dark Counsel member, many other members fear him and don't question his decisions. Interesting how the Jedi Knight addresses Satele like they dont really know eachother. Dude, shes basically a grandmother to you lol why are you talking to her like you dont know her?
Meh, I like to see it as them being ascended. This whole storyline is meant for us to ascend beyond light and dark. We needed to transcend beyond the limits of what a Jedi/Sith warrior can do and push beyond our previous limits and reach new levels of powers. We needed to rise above all we previously understood about the force and instead of trying to USE the force, we needed to be able to become ONE with it. That's how the force users on Zakuul were about to outmatch their light and dark adversaries, they weren't USING the force, the force and them were as one through devotion to the eternal throne.
@@Mediados Can't believe I wrote such a stupid thing. I consider indeed Darth Marr as a light Sith, he has a lot of ethics and good sense. But I've also learned that during his life he was so powerful that just seeing his face could kill you if you weren't strong enough so much he was in the dark side. But Force ghosts are always neither 100% dark or light, so probably like 80% dark and 20% light.
@@Julien-Limosino-87 That's a good percentage to describe him I think, it's how every Sith should be. But I don't think being so defaced that you shatter people's mind is really a power and more a disability XD

And only one with the brain Of course Malgus also have some rare perspectives to the Jedi (he buried worthy enemy in respected manner) being a Darth but Marr he would gladly make temporary alliances if 3rd party dare to attack both and threatening Galaxy
It sucks that Darth Marr is dead but at least he's force ghost like a Jedi (Sith Force ghost is quite different, they need to be attached to something or someone)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a force ghost exclusively for light sided being who are incredibly attuned to the force, and so rare that to see even 1 in a hundred year cycle is considered an anomaly?
My understanding is there's a separate light side force ghost (typically free to go anywhere they want) and a dark side force ghost (typically stuck to a specific location). Achieving it isn't about rarity, it's about mastering the technique, which isn't normally taught by anyone. The best example I can think of, though I think it's now Legends, is that Qui Gon Jin was so talented that he figured it out and then after dying came back as a force ghost to teach Yoda how to do it. I'm not sure if it was also Qui Gon or if it was Yoda who taught Obi Wan... no idea how Anakin learned it though.
Marr himself said that the Force has a will, an opinion so to speak. So I assume the Force itself decides who gets to become one with it and who doesn't. Marr was wiser than most Sith, he understood that the Light Side was just as important for understanding the Force than the Dark. That allowed him to become a ghost, most Sith stay completely in the Dark.
Wait, so Sith force ghost are a thing? I thought that was an ability that was exclusive to Jedi. And that it was an ability that was discovered by Master Yoda thousands of years after KotFE. Either my knowledge of Star Wars is lacking or there is some serious cannon issues with this game. (Still love it though.)
It’s likely that most Sith fail to do it because they are not pure with the Dark Side. Marr uses it for a purpose greater than himself, thus being “purer” than most Sith who only act for personal gain. The Force may have honored that
The difference is that most Sith hate the Light, and only accept the Dark Side. Marr was wiser than that, he knew that both the Dark and the Light Side are vital for understanding the Force. The acceptance of the Light was what allowed him to become one with the Force, even though he was a devoted Sith Lord.
Your knowledge is lacking . Sith can not become force ghost like jedi. Only phantoms and spectors trapped in their tombs, objects, or places where they died . However, there are exceptions. e.g. Mark Ragnos, who was so powerful in the dark side that his spirit could move like Jedi spirits or Darth Marr whose goal was something greater than himself, that is to defend the empire and its people .Thanks to this, he became the force ghost.
That's canon lore. Swtor is Legends lore, and Force Ghosts just "happen" for a variety of reasons just like real life ghosts (if you believe in them). Marr is just one of those "unfinished business" ghosts.
Very doubtful. For one thing, it's confirmed Marr is human while Visas was Miralukan (though interbreeding exists, so that kinda means nothing). But also, all of Visas' family was killed by Nihilus and she didn't have any kids we're aware of. As for Darth Marr's side, we know little of his past but we do know that he was born in the Empire and, like all the Dark Council, his sith name was different than his birth name. So "Marr" isn't his family name. I feel like it's a coincidence, brought on by the fact that marr is a cool-sounding syllable so it just happened to get used twice across the entirety of star wars.
@@CrowderHatingConservative That has never been the case. The Light Side is the natural state of the Force; the Dark Side is a perversion of it. Balance in the Force means the removal of the Dark Side or those who use it.
