Honestly, Tyler made probably the cleanest and most invisible spot of all. Bogden was in a cut wall so had some form of opening, but Tyler's had absolutely no telling that it was altered and looked like perfectly normal floor tile.
JT fan favourite? The insulation was the best hiding spot in my opinion though, especially when James said how disgusting that would be. Like what's coming next year, hiding in the septic tank?
@@BobaPhettamine you are right, he wouldn't "feel" it, but deffinitly being packed with that much insulation, your suit would be drenched from sweat... the INSULATION does work when you have a suit on.
Funniest has to be JT and Andreas hiding in plain sight in the office while James goofed around with his card trick, but Tyler and Bogdan had the best hiding spots for sure. Hard to pick between the 2 though
I’m surprised that so many hid from a thermal camera and left little to no clues on where they hid. I was most impressed with JT hiding in plain sight and how long he pulled it off with eyes on him so frequently.
I really wish other companies understood the importance of this kind of team building. This is the kind of stuff that makes memories and employees will be talking about at future jobs about how they used to work for the coolest company ever.
If the Hacksmith Industries ever move to another building, the next occupant will find an unusual amount of hidey holes and secret passages throughout the entire property.
JT keeping his cool with James leaning over his shoulder was _absolutely_ the best! That said, Tyler's hole in the floor was prolly the most effective spot.
*3 years ago I said the team had to step their game up* and made recommendations. Almost all of those ideas, even the incredibly stupid, dangerous, and impractical ones have now been successfully performed by the Hacksmith team. I think I suggested replacing an engine with a shell replacement, and duplicate Ikea couches moved in specifically for the event. Amazing. I suggested using a concrete saw to cut a hole through the slab, Tyler just dug under the tile in the bathroom and Rob did it outside. I suggested "the ninja" who hides in plain sight or just avoids James's movement, JT delivers. I suggested whole hidden wall sections, Bogdan shows me it can be done 2 years in a row. Don't care if I didn't inspire it, just happy to see it done. *The brains on Tyler. The balls on JT. The stamina of Bogdan. The simultaneously stupidest and one of the smartest hiding spots was definitely the insulation. 1) one can not touch it unless they are wearing protection (which is both great and horrible for the hider), 2) no one is going to notice and insulation pile being more piled than usual, and 3) it naturally insulates heat with its power of being insulation.
This looks like so much fun! Despite the high-pressure work environment and the demands of producing TH-cam content while simultaneously designing and building some of the coolest tech, y'all still manage to bring your A game to hide-and-seek. Great job!
Tyler legit had popcorn and dug a hole in the ground AND put a tile over it. If it was down to the last man, he'd be one the last found, aside from Bogdan. Although, if Bogdan had to sit there for half a day he would've moved himself.
I feel like someone who wants to win this should plan super far ahead... build a spot early in the year so that people get used to seeing whatever changes are made to the surroundings...
I look forward to this vid every year. Smartest game of hid and seek ever. Can't be to upset at not finding people when you help hire such smart and creative people! I just love that you make sure to have fun with your staff. Its something we all love for in a boss.
maybe...in about 8 years, i may have done and received a phd and a diplom for physics and then it would be such a honor to work with you guys. great video i say. the world needs more of this 😊
JT and Andreas literally being in the same room as James while he was attempting that trick with the credit card and not getting caught at first was crazy, if Matt and JT didn't swap back JT probably would've made it the rest of the time even after James checked the cameras considering he touched the mannequin right next to JT and didn't even notice
100% Bogden and Tyler Both of their hiding spots where so clean that the camera could not tell which is impressive! when Bogden took the wall off and came out it looked like he magically pushed a square out of it! Next, Tyler I love the genius behind his build/hiding hole, he used plain floor and tile to make his spot vanish like Bogden's! Lastly, I say 1 advantage Tyler has is maybe since he is in the ground and a little farther from the floor and cooler to soak up the building heat, so maybe over a longer time period the heat will show faster through the drywall then the floor hiding spot! Either way though I am impressed, no BS just a fun video for everyone to watch! feels like classic youtube, feels like home!
I miss watching your channel for hours on end, since your channel is the one the taught me a very important lesson I will always have a deep respect for everything done on your channel! I know what i'm doing for the next couple days!
This was amazing! More companies need to do fun events like this. I can only imagine how much of an HR nightmare it would be for a group over 30 people, though.
I mean we're at 25 -- only a nightmare if you let it be a nightmare 😉 Giving people 2 days off to prepare was pretty expensive though! 😅 probably cost more in everyone's salaries than the actual prize!
This years hide and seek is really next level, wonder how they gonna top that next year. I think Tyler had the best hiding spot, he didn't show any trace of disturbance whatsoever.
Gotta give it to Logan. Surrounded by insulation for three hours. Brilliant! James even commented about how bad that would be for someone to hide in that.
If I had a nickel for every time I saw a TH-cam based company playing hide and seek with their employees, I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened right
My choice in that year would be easy. Get a camo jacket and pants (and some good, dark boots) before the hide and seek. Then walk off into the wooded parts, find a good area that's hard to see from most if not all sides and lie down and just wait
For me, Logan definitely has an inconvenient place to hide because being in hazmat and FF mask under isolation for 3 hours is pretty tough. (personal experience, i'm working in half and FF mask). Tyler and Bogdan also had very inconvenient but ingenious hiding places.
JT sitting just a few centimeters away from James was insane. Just hiding in plain sight. Legendary.
jt was just chillin
Was brilliant 😂😂
You guys should do it in the pitch Black and james has to wear a night vision that is like what he can see on (The Chronicles of Riddick)

The only way he could have done it better is to put insulation on the underside of the panel so that James wouldn’t notice via heat signature

The insulation hiding spot was 200iq. When James pulled out the thermal camera, I thought “he is not going to find that person with the camera”.
JT hiding right in front James at the desk was by far the best, even though he got caught eventually.
Someone needs to incorporate a hiding spot in a project and sit on it for 6 months just to win next year.
I was just thinking about this
i think they did something is with "invisibility glass" they got one in a window and hid between the window and the that stuff it could be cool
