A very good point made about type of brush.. those that DONT hold lots of water are better for adding paint on to a painting which is drying…if I’ve picked that up correctly?
I'm wondering if you could show us a swatch of creating a gradient from yellow/orange to blue/violet when you don't use the rose madder permanent Vs when you do?

My water color, cold press 140 lb. 300 gsm Grumbacher paper dried wavy wetting both sides. maybe used wrong paper?
