    I didn't see a case spreader ans indicator to check side preload on the bearing set.

    Do you reuse old bearings on open diff onto wavetrac lsd. I see they sell the lsd without bearings on the ends

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the model, some cars like the C63 AMG aftermarket or original equipment bearings are not available, so you have to very carefully remove the factory bearings to then re-use.

    Did you replace the ring gear bolts, and are they normal or left handed thread?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The stock ring gear bolts are used and we (the marketing department) does not have information on the thread handing.

    Heey,is the same in daily driving? Thks

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey, in day to day driving the car behaves the same. The BIG benefit for example in daily driving with the Wavetrac is that when the grip conditions are less than ideal, for example wet, snow, ice or generally low-grip tarmac, the traction and grip will be much higher vs. stock.
      So you could say that the car is much safer and easier to drive in these conditions, which is a big benefit for when you want to relax and enjoy the journey.

    It says adjust backlash if needed, Im doing this for a homie but haven't started yet cause im not sure if ill need the dial gauge. Is it recommended to reset it or is this a mostly bolt on part?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should always check and adjust backlash if required, you are rolling the dice with high nvh and low lifespan of components if you do not check and adjust if required.

    Hey guys, for 2010 modell need to coding the ESP? I heard it can be affected after upgrade.

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope! The Wavetrac is invisible to the electronics, the car will have immensely more mechanical grip so the electronic intervention will be less.
      Whereas if you opt for a plated diff which locks the axles together, it can cause issues.

    • @zsbalak
      @zsbalak 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RegalAutosport thx, I read some post by BMW Cars is neccessary to code it. Mentioned as an example if one of the wheels in the air, the ESP may unneccessarily brake.

    Why did you not re-fit the diff cooler? (heat exchanger). I see it was fitted when you removed the diff, so I presume you snapped the two 8mm diff cooler mounting bolts, and didn't attempt to repair them. Yes, they are prone to snapping, but you could have drilled them out and fitted helicoils (which I have done before using home tools), and nobody would have been any the wiser. Or does the wavetrac diff not need the same cooling as the standard open diff? (I'm interested to know, so please educate me).......... Very informative video though, thanks for posting.

    • @banditdarville.
      @banditdarville. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      0:17 diff cooler fitted. 2:28 diff cooler missing. Why don't you need it?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      More often than not the bolts snap and most customers have time constraints, we offer the customer a solution of the new plate + bolts but most of the time they do not accept for cost or time reasons, which makes a repair difficult too!

    Hi i have c63 amg 2010 I don’t understand the LSD but can someone tell me if it’s better with LSD or without it ??

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, the LSD is better.
      The open differential makes the C63 AMG feel unstable, less driveable and less grip. With an LSD, the C63 AMG will feel more stable, more driveable and much more grip! Customers love the Wavetrac LSD, it's one of our most popular differentials!

      @RegalAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Jimmy T crazy expensive and a wear item that loses performance a sits used, whereas the Wavetrac does not! BEst thing to do is buy one without an LSD and upgrade to a Wavetrac, then it;ll be better than the factory option!
