@@crazestyle83 Mearsheimer wrote a book about Liddell Hart and his 'indirect approach'. Long ago (30 years) Mearsheimer told Ukraine not to renounce nuclear weapons in order to be able to stand alone against Russian bullying. Then he advised Ukraine not to enter into association with NATO. No member of the Washington alliance, especially not America was going to get into a war with Russia over Ukraine, when it came down to it. So the Ukrainian strategy after the full on invasion was and still is posited on Putin having the social sensitivities of a high school girl, and quitting the war through suffering all this unbearable 'embarrassment' and 'humiliation' we keep hearing about on this channel. I understand such loss of face considerations are an aspect of the correlation of forces, but it really is over the top the way it is monopolizing the analysis.

Ukraine will next take OVER the bridge to Crimea. This is the next tactical step that furthers the "keep the pressure on" philosophy and the destruction of the petroleum ferry. The only reason it hasn't been done already, is that Ukraine needs to give Russia a WAY to evacuate Crimea. If they take out the bridge too soon, Russia will be forced to dig in and make Crimea a stronghold. I think they will try to sieze the bridge on the Crimean side within the next 4 weeks.

Good people of the world could end all war if they would work together to link all trade to human rights in a positive and consistent way. Only by reversing the global market race to the bottom will oppression stop being profitable. And only by ending oppression, will all people have the power to stop the foolishness of their own governments. The key is to make any policy incentive-based since sanctions only encourage defiance.
Plus, since 25% of human effort is wasted on war, this policy would make everyone better-off financially.
