OK Jim - now you're just showing off! How wonderful that you took the time to explain this. There are so many citizens that are fearful because "they've never done that before" and you provide this very professional and easy to follow instructions. You do it in a very nice and affirming way. The creation of this video is probably one of the most outstanding actions I've EVER witnessed from an elected official. I am so proud to live in your district and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the fantastic job you're doing. God bless you and yours, and all the citizens and elected of San Diego County!
Supervisor Desmond - Thank you for all of your civility and assistance. I have not read all of the comments, but I am wondering whether the other supervisors have been provided with a similar presentation, "How to Listen at a Board Meeting". A few of the other supervisors may be surprised to learn that their duties include looking respectfully and directly at the speaker to be truly receptive to the message being presented.
I had the same thought but googled Mexican flag and saw the distinction. There's so much craziness these days - so many things upside down - sad that would even come to mind! :)

I can’t wait to talk about why we are America’s Finest City! We live in a city that shines because we have unwaivering faith, hope and love!! Let’s herald ourselves as a city that nourishes Father Joe’s Village, and the hundreds of local charities that serve our babies, our youth, our parents, our elderly and our veterans! We don’t want to hurt our future. The children ARE our future.

So, if that is our San Diego County Board Meeting room, why is a Mexico flag being encased on the back wall? Just a question.
It is actually the County of San Diego flag, but it does look very similar to the Mexico flag.
Don't forget "twice as loud, twice as slow". Speak up and slow down!
