Great video! At 1:38 you said that the r and l was for dual engine aircraft, this might be the case, but also in a smaller piston aircraft each cylinder has two spark plugs, powers by two magnetos magnetos (probably incorrectly spelling that (fixed))thus a left, and a right for the left and right magnito in a small piston aircraft. Overall very good video!

Hello Pilot Studd! I started with X-Plane 11 (from 100% noob), then switched to MSFS2020, cause in XP, throttle and things are spinning all over the place, at least with my Saitek throttle quadrant. Very annoying! Then I´ve got FSX and finally tried Flightgear. Guess, which simulator is my favourite ;-)? Regards!

Do you know if the landing gear lights work in conjunction with the simulator or are the lights only sync'd with the action of the gear knob? In other words, if you were (in mid flight) to click the simulator cockpit landing gear while your gear were up (lights off) in mid flight, if the saitek unit sync's up properly , the lights would go from off to red to green with out touching the actual gear knob on the Saitek. Thanks !!!!

They are synced with the sim, for example if you have a gear failure that might won’t turn on and yes if you press the gear in game, the lights will change!

@@PilotStudd GREAT , that's good to know. I have heard that the upcoming Bravo Throttle Quadrant will not do that, which is a disappointment. I wonder if it's a programming thing, or if it's a physical component thing, because if it's the unit itself (physical), then there could be no change to the Bravo. Thanks for answering so quickly!

I’m not an expert but I’d say it’s more programming unless there’s a hardware problem where the pc can’t send signals back but I don’t know, thanks for your question!

Hi, I’ve downloaded a couple of plugins from Logitech and physically plugged it in, yet it still doesn’t work. I’ve searched the internet for help but again, it works for them but not for me, I’m doing the exact same as them but no luck! Any solutions?

Hi. I used to use FSX and it worked fine, a common problem is with power management, search up Logitech panel power management tutorial and hopefully that will help you! That’s more for if the screen or lights don’t work. If that doesn’t work I’ll need a bit more info to try and help ✈️

You need to plug the usb into the computer usb port and you can join it to the yoke with the metal screws. The yoke and this panel will both need drivers which can be downloaded from the Logitech Support website. Stay safe and have fun.

Hi; i have this switch panel which works great,but if i am flying a twin engined plane , i wanted to start up one engine, at a time , as you would do, but the switch starts up both at the same time , what can i do to change this, Put in another switch maybe , any idea would be welcome, awesome vids by the way

If you can just get FS2020 FSXSE is a special case and needs some fettling it works with boxed FSX a good vid is from Frooglesim

Hi Randolph, You do need a driver for FSX, don't worry though it's really simple, just go to the Logitech website click support and search up Flight Panels and download the driver for FSX make sure you chose the 64bit one (if you have a 64 bit computer). Once it's downloaded and you've checked everything in FSX settings you should be ready to fly. 👍🏻✈️

Hello, the panels always worked fine with me on FSX:SE, so I can recommenced making sure you’ve installed the right drivers from the Logitech support website, the one for FSX as there is some for XP11, I also suggest getting the test software on there as well as that’ll show you if it’s the drivers or a hardware problem, hope this helps ✈️

You should be able to, just make sure you have assigned the engine start control to that magneto switch 👍✈️
