If I was Child Protective Services, I would take a long hard look at her behavior towards her kids. Someone who would kill animals under those circumstances is demonstrating some clear sociopathic traits. The fact that the defendant-in-chief thinks it's ok is just another confirmation of his character, as well. It is satisfying to know that she's been banned by the tribes within her state.
This sums up Republicans in a nutshell - sure she could have rehomed and had somebody else adopt the puppy but that would require effort and she's far too lazy for that, so she chose the option "DURRR GUN GO BOOM!" anybody who thinks about this for more than a minute knows it shows how weak and lazy she is but they never think or consider anything, it's just one poorly thought out temper-tantrum after another.

Only Beau, after some mental shuffling, could politely use Unique instead of Deranged on this topic! Desensitization coupled with compassion for others at its finest. Also, hilarious!
Have to agree because I also considered her actions from a farmer's position. A lot of farmers would would put down a livestock predator. Their form of desensitization! Cruelty to animals definitely is a sociopathic trait. If it had been done out mercy to an injured or dying animal to end its suffering, that's a completely different thing. Shooting a mischievous, untrained puppy or a stinky, ornery goat, that shows your children that you're cold-blooded and stupid. The fact that she thinks her actions showed character is disgusting and alarming.
Beau's right about some things you never come back from. I'm a nurse. I put mine in a box and shove it away so I can take care of the next person. Sometimes the boxes are b00by trapped and have to be restuffed after a cry in the supply room. You go because you have to. Taking a break to watch a man choosing to be the helper from a set that looks like his shed helps.
Indeed. If you are going to be angry about something, the energy should be channeled into remedying the situation, not making yourself sick with fruitless negativity. Same with hating, which is so much spoken of nowadays; I can't do it. I can recognize that some person or group is wrong, is bad, is disgusting, but I can't give them my energy in the form of hating. Again, it's better to get to work helping them if possible, or at least those they have hurt.
I don’t disagree with him but anger is an important instinct telling us change is needed. Dwelling in anger is another issue. Some anger is extremely important. Why do you think they work so hard to teach women to never get angry?
No…It’s not that. I heard part of the excerpt yesterday. But it’s still cringeworthy. It SOUNDED like the dog was….aggressive? And the goat thing I think she thought it was “nasty”? I’ll try to find again where I heard it.
Still, neither would be things I would effectively brag about. The euphorism "got rid of" works without showcasing your true grit and lack of reverence of the lives of those who are troublesome.

For those not familiar with maritime law - a ship having it's "flag yanked" means the country the vessel is registered with (in the specific case of the aid ships, Guinea Bissau) has decided to remove the ship from it's registry and no longer allow it to claim rights as part of that country's merchant ships. They become "unregistered" or "stateless." Stateless ships have no legal status, and thus no legal protections that flagged ships have under international law. This also means they can be denied the ability to travel in state-controlled seas, or be able to use a country's docks. It's a _major_ thing. Look up UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) if you want to learn more.
@@kristenpalmer7217 I'm no expert, but based on my reading...it's complicated. As long as they stay where they are until they get flagged, probably not? It's not really clear since the cargo and ships are private property, and docked while they were flagged.

There is nowhere on Earth that operates the way I want & there never has been. It's like being a liberal in the year 1500. In my day to day life I let go of my anger by focusing on the beautiful nature that surrounds me & the people who need my help. In politics I try to channel my anger into issues that people are ready (or nearly ready) to listen to. Student loan forgiveness & publicly funded university, single payer Healthcare, the humanitarian crisis over there... even small things, like talking about how a nearby town has 3x the municipal budget of my larger town & "look at how much nicer their community looks because of it." If I let loose & start demanding what I really believe in, nobody will listen to me & I'll feel more isolated. Help people catch glimpses of what is possible & know that your project is generational.
Ryan hall livestreams tornado outbreaks. When a town like Sulphur Oklahoma gets hit he sends money and supplies. He works in conjunction with storm chasers to see what is needed.
The important part of what Ryan does is that he supplies INTERIM help before insurance and government gets there. Cash, food, tarps, cleaning supplies. Whatever the people ask for and need. Then he moves on as normal systems kick in. HE FILLS A NICHE THAT WAS MISSING.
I have also become desensitized - for me, it's reading the list of our honored dead for Trans Day of Remembrance and how they were murdered. I had a social worker say that it is a form of PTSD.

When I moved to Canada and watched the news reporting with great urgency one homicide with a total of less than 100/year in a mayor city, i was dumbfounded. I cane from a major city that reported 3000 homicides/year... There was no one that I knew who had not been touched by the violence obe way or another. A couple of decades later, I still find myself with wall buot around the subject. I couldn't do what Beau does day in and day out. Beau-"being angry is a wasted emotion" Truer words rarely get spoken
Anger is a great way to inspire action, the problem is when you let anger take over.

Can the cargo be confiscated?
@@kristenpalmer7217 I'm no expert, but based on my reading...it's complicated. As long as they stay where they are until they get flagged, probably not? It's not really clear since the cargo and ships are private property, and docked while they were flagged.

It's still true that women must work harder and achieve more to earn medical degrees.
I believe this because my father and I rarely agreed on anything. I'm a woman, by the way. We both credit our physicians for saving our lives.
