Hi , I’ve always done (2) 2x12x16 underground, but more recently people in the turtle community around me have been saying that was overkill so now I just do (1) 2x12x16 in the ground That was a really long way to say 12 inches haha .
I used to put (2) 2x12x16 pt under ground and (2) above ground . But for the second half of my pen builds I used (1) 2x12 in the ground and (2) above ground and I haven’t noticed any turtle escapes . But …. With only digging down 11-1/2 inches . Rodents have figured it out and they do tunnel under . So when 23 inches deep rodents don’t make trails . I think I’ll do more 23 inch deep based on that alone
Man you have the best setups for the turtles and some of the most amazing looking ones I’ve seen on here! Absolutely love your content 🙌
Thank you I really appreciate that . Thanks for watching too
Hi Chuck. How deep do you have the outer boards dug in so the turtles cant dig out?
