All part of ninja training my friend
Cute!
Do you have a Facebook or anything?
Yo bro how much?
I’ll have to look into NY I didn’t think they were legal there but I could be wrong I know terrapins are illegal up there .
Sorry boxie baby’s are 150.00 plus shipping
They aren’t unless you have a permit which I do since I have an adult boxie
Setups are looking good!
Man you have the best setups for the turtles and some of the most amazing looking ones I’ve seen on here! Absolutely love your content 🙌
Thank you I really appreciate that . Thanks for watching too
I thought you had Blandings in there too?
Good eye my friend , I moved the blandings into a separate tank . Their diet is more chopped fish and the spotteds enjoy the worms and shrimp more .
Looks good
Thanks hun , I hope to have the drywall up tomorrow
Love it Chuck ❤
Nice
Thank you
Man, I love this tank!!👏🏽
Thanks Ruben , it’s really fun to just watch them swim and navigate their way
@@ChuckTornetta-TortugaRanch and the colors on those Terrapins are insane! they look like ornate haha they have big knobs
@@Rubenooh8 Yeah I have a lot of really nice terrapins I’m holding back and available
That 2in is great. We used it in the walls of our raised outdoor so if they burmate near a wall the chill won't get thru.
Ok cool , it’s my first time using it but I hope it keeps the building warm
I own one adult (I’m pretty sure it’s a male) and I have a permit to own them :) (I’m in NY)
I have a fenced in area in my backyard to keep the adult and a tortoise table for the baby
Youre place is next level man
Many thanks my friend . It’s always a work in progress but I love it
@ChuckTornetta-TortugaRanch keep sharing we love seeing it
Raise em up
Oh I do haha I keep holdbacks every year . So rewarding
Can I buy him?
I just saw this , I put him back so I doubt he is there but I’ll look tomorrow and if I find him I’ll record it for ya . And as long as it’s legal to own a ebt where you live . Yes for sure
@@ChuckTornetta-TortugaRanchalright thanks
Put a couple of boxes on top incase you want to install ceiling fans instead of blowers
I have (3) 4 inch round boxes up there I’m gonna put in a fan for sure to blow back down some heat and keep the room warmer
Turing out Great
Thank you
Why is that one trying to leave? Lol. Im kidding. So cute!! Immediately subbed.
Haha they’re funny for sure
That's a cool place 😊
I agree and thank you my friend
I thought you said Pasta 🍝 haha
I am Italian my friend , it’s very pasta-ble hahaa
Gonna look amazing
Thank you
Nice video. Thank you for sharing your worm farm build
Thanks for watching
they better borrow in before it gets cold 😂
It’s been unseasonably warm , back to 80s this week for one day at least
Awwww
They been enjoying some warmer days , I hear 80s again next week
@ I love me some turtles love it
Wow, one of the best outdoor setups for spotteds that i have seen!
Thank you , I really appreciate that.
Can’t wait to see the progress
Awesome , I hope to have the electrical aspect roughed in Sunday so I can start closing it in .
Great looks fantastic ❤🐢
Thanks Lisa I hope to have the electrical aspect finished this weekend
Go big or Go home! 👏🏽
Damm right ! Haha I’m always pushin my limits lol
Great video looking good
Thanks my friend . I appreciate it
😂😂
They’re funny walking on the wood , they follow me too sometimes
@ they are funny but so darn cute
When I thought the other tortoise was eating a pepperoni pizza 🍕 🤣 until you mentioned pumpkin 🎃
Hahaha
Me my brothers just finished our sulcata building with insulation we left the floor concrete because if we would of put wooden flooring down it would rot the wood to quick but it looks amazing now we’ve also fitted alarms and camera inside x
Yes I agree I’d rather have concrete but I’m also thinking about cement board and large tiles .
Looks great ❤🐢
Thank you! 😊
Love how fast you get shit done !
Gotta keep it moving haha winters coming
I love the ending lol the 😂the frog
Hahaha gimme a few weeks
@@ChuckTornetta-TortugaRanch Hahahahah

Awesome!
Thank you
Love this tank!
I’m really digging your channel and content! I have always loved box turtles 🐢 and had a few as pets years back so I’m glad I found your channel 👍 your son is a hard worker I see. I used to work in landscaping for the last 25 years here in Florida. Great work on these videos!!
Thank you I really appreciate that.
This summer our box turtle was stung by a scorpion. Our beloved turtle is living indoors for now because she had a severe allergic reaction. We are afraid it could happen again. Not sure how to prevent it in the future. Her water bowls attract crickets and scorpions eat crickets. Any suggestions?
I’m very sorry that it got stung , I don’t have scorpions here in NJ but are there any live traps that you could put around to try and catch them for maybe a distance release . I really would suggest googling the issue and or ask other box turtle keepers in and around your area just what they do . I’d imaging my box turtles would try to eat them not knowing the danger.
Great video
Thanks I’ll post more tomorrow
Going to be nice and toasty there during winter 👏🏽
I hope so , I’m racing against time . But I’m hopeful to have the walls done soon
very good job chuck
Thanks I appreciate it.
Looking amazing chuck
Thank you I appreciate it
Looking good
Thank you I just posted another video for todays progress
Do you ever worry about turtles hibernating in your wetland filters? Here in Michigan, my shallow wetland ponds freeze solid so I have to always remove animals from hibernating in them.
The ponds that have filters in some way are basically multiple ponds where as the filter is just a water reserve where pond water filters thru plants for natural filtration. Them turtles hibernate under water anyway and regularly walk in and out of both . So I don’t use the type of filter that a turtle can get stuck in .
Years ago I had my diamondbacks in a pond that had a skimmer box and they did used to get stuck in that thing so I did away with traditional filtration
that's cool
Thank you
Would this method work for colder climates like Nebraska/Colorado?
Good question and I’m sure it would be worth a try . It definitely couldn’t hurt . Mulch like Root mulch is actually warmer inside and under it because of the reaction to breaking down organic materials . If I were you I’d look into grass clippings piles and root mulch
How do your guppies/mosquito fish do with the cold?
These fish are incredible, they may be small but very hardy. They can get up to 2” but average one inch and they do just fine in winter . I don’t feed them until spring and they thrive .
Nah that’s funny asf😂
Hahahaha that’s why I wanted to catch them in a short , they do this shit all day .
