Sonic The Hedgehog (GG) ✪ Beat The Game Speedrun in

Part 30 of various practice runs towards the Sonic Speedrun Marathon.
Continuing on the game gear series with the first ever game gear game itself, Sonic 1.
Also part of a triple header special I'm doing today.

My notes on the run:
Could've potentially have done an all emeralds run since I already know where the emeralds are in each zone, but just wanted to try and get use to the routes instead so I chose Beat The Game.
For the most part the run felt pretty solid, though it can definitely be better. There was even a certain glitch you can pull off in both Labyrinth zone 1 & 2. Attempted them a couple of times but had no luck getting it. I'm at least satisfied with a sub 20, but sometime down the road I'll definitely come back to this game and definitely do some more runs.

Definitely one of the Sonic games ever.
I do like the unique zones' aesthetics though. The alternate songs for Labyrinth and Scrap Brain too.
