  • After the death of Reeva Steenkamp at the hands of Oscar Pistorius, the question remains: was it a tragic mistake or premeditated murder? This report unpicks the forensic investigation at the heart of the case.
    Subscribe to Journeyman here: www.youtube.com...
"The entire trial will be fought on one issue: intention", says criminal law professor Steve Tuson. A man who overcame all obstacles to become an international icon, Oscar Pistorius used words like "horror", "fear" and "grave danger" to describe his state of mind on that fateful night. Disabled, subject to death threats and living in a nation where a sense of ever-present danger is said to have altered the national psyche, his defence will claim Oscar thought he was protecting Reeva from an intruder. An analysis of bullet entry, blood spatter and mobile phone evidence will help distinguish lies from cold facts. "Innocence or guilt can hang on a tiny detail", says Tuson.

Thank you for your response. No. Were you? Who is the "ex" you refer to? Oscar Pistorius murdered Reeva Steenkamp deliberately. Let the evidence speak (see references below). Nothing said, or done can EVER justify someone committing murder.
Oscar Pistorius's previous relationships were also "turbulent" as his aggression proved to his then partners' fear - to finally play out in his diabolical killing of Reeva Steenkamp. The young woman wasn't "no-one", she was Reeva. Even a non-celeb is entitled to freedom from murder - for something she may have said. All lovers have tiffs. How many are murdered for them? But what on earth has "popularity", "celebrity" or that she was a "no one" got to do with the murder of a beautiful young woman - by an aggressive and angry man?
Blood has a voice! Evidence calls for justice! And myriad police and other photographs and scientific tests don't lie, but beg honest scrutiny and firm conviction. And the truth will always out!
See the superb and thorough forensic work truth4reeva.com MollettMedia.com and book "Oscar vs The Truth" an exceptional detailing of expert forensic work through pure scientific methodology and painstaking experiments.
The court case - the prosecution sadly shoddy and incomplete in its missing/neglect of producing essential evidence! And the judge was totally out of her depth (no site inspection - "one gets the idea that Judge Masipa simply didn't understand and comprehend the moving of the fans as a deciding factor with regard to the validity of Oscar's version"!) - left more than much to be desired. Lie after lie after lie.
Did the prosecution bring in the fact that Oscar Pistorius first shot Reeva with his air (pellet) gun? No! See wound to the side of her elbow and clear pellet holes in the bedroom door/frame? Did the prosecution bring forward the evidence that Oscar Pistorius hit Reeva twice on her back (2 wounds at her spine) with his cricket bat? The answer again is "no" - and neglect! Did the prosecution show the dented stainless steal plate on the side of the bath that was smashed in with the cricket bat (such anger)? No! And all this aggression, anger, fury building up as terrified Reeva tried to run and find shelter and safety behind a locked toilet door. And all - before Oscar Pistorius removed his gun from under the left side of the bed and went to the toilet door (on his stumps - see the evidence - photographs - in the blood) before he SHOT her 4 times through the door - to kill her.
Investigate and inform yourself of the full details and truth of the matter. Until then: Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

He is a narcisstic sosiopath! He knowingly killed her. I think they quarrelled and she told him she was done and was breaking the relationship. As a sosiopath, he couldn`t handle the rejection and decided to end her life. I believe Reeva ran to the bathroom to hide and protect herself. That`s why he shot thru the door. He couldn`t open the door.
Oscar has a very bad reputation. People have talked about her arrogant he was and his ego was off the roof. He drove cars rescklessly without concern and on several occations he waved his gun in the air in public and threatened people. The best predictor of future behaviour is past behaviour. He should get life in prison.
Imagine the need to have your way and to sustain that control gets so strong that you kill someone for it. A person who destroys you coz you refused to submit to them is a narcissist. What a waste. He had the world on his palm. He not only destroyed Reeva, but he also self destructed himself in the process. Unbelievable.

For me, this girl lost her life for one reason, she did not do as she was told. He gave her instructions. Before you go to sleep, bring in the fans and lock the doors. When he woke and saw those doors still open and she was fast asleep, he lost it. Rightly or wrongly, he's a paranoid mess. He sees danger around every corner. So he flipped. She was already fearful and intimidated by him so she ran for her life and locked herself in the bathroom with him right behind her. Banging on the door like a lunatic. That's when the neighbors heard "get the f out of my house." He knew she had her phone, so he needed to get in there before she called for help. So he put his prosthetics on and shot through the door. I don't think he intended to kill her. He is a sociopathic narcissistic sociopath and his temper and entitlement got the better of him. Rest in peace Reeva. You are loved, you are missed and you are brave.

For example....the trajectory of the bullets, places Oscar right at the back of the room, and on his stumps.
Your version simply don't connect all the dots I'm afraid.
Also, you have him chasing Reeva with a gun, because she didn't bring in the fans....now if this was the case, wouldn't it be easy to find a female witness, that could testify that she was at least struck or kicked. Yet there was nothing of the kind.
Your starting point is murder, then you working back....the mistake so many are making.

I can almost guarantee that your offending partner, exposed his unsavory behaviour in steps.
What I mean by this is....he probably first start out being demanding, then it escalated to shouting and being verbally abusive, then he became pushy and shoved and slapped you (apologized, and promised it wouldn't happen again)....but it did.
Not only did it happen again, but the beatings got worse as time went on.
I can almost also guarantee that you not the first person/partner he struck and treated this way.
Now....as bad as this guy was, he never chased you around and threatened you with a gun....the very first time you guys fought.
Why.... because in the real world, things take the shape of escalation.
Having said this.....if Oscar was this abrasive, wouldn't you expect him to have had an abusive past.
Surely, one of his ex girlfriends, should have testified to a beating at least.
After all, who gets so mad with a partner, for not bringing in the fans....that he responds by pulling out a firearm.
What makes this even more unlikely....is the fact that they were only dating for 3 months, and also this happened in the early hours of the morning. (Did your partner wake up in the middle of the night, and show his true colours by beating you up for the first time??)
These few things alone, should suggest that one need to consider ALL the facts and evidence of the case, way more cautiously.

I'm willing to bet it started out possibly first being verbally abusive, then escalated to physical abuse.
And he more than likely had a track record of abuse.
The prosecution couldn't find one single partner that could testify to physical abuse.
Don't you find this very odd???
Why would he get so mad with Reeva, after only dating her for 3 months....to chase her around the house with a gun, just because she didn't bring in the fans.

I have a friend who is a doctor, and he said all Oscar Pistorius' lawyers had to do was show that she was in the midst of a bowel movement or relieving her bladder which you can show through an autopsy. For some reason, this was never presented as evidence, maybe because Oscar Pistorius' lawyer couldn't prove this. Was surprised that the biological status of Reeva Steenkamp's body was never discussed and that they only focused on the ballistics. She was possibly in the bathroom because she was hiding from Oscar (at least the courts seem to think so) and not there to relieve herself. Case closed (again). [Correction the biological status of Reeva Steenkamp's body was discussed. In the article "Pistorius Grilled Over Reeva Steenkamp's Final Meal, Clothes (2014). South African prosecutor Gerrie Nel said "expert evidence showed Steenkamp's stomach should have been empty by the time she was killed"; however, "Reeva's stomach was not empty." ]

How would he be able to carry a fan, if not wearing his prosthetic legs?
I assume, that without them he'd need to use his arms to move around, so he couldn't possible carry an object like a fan at the same time.

He is a selfcentre narcissist with a fury of jealousy in him that cannot be stopped Why did Reeva locked the toilet door if it was only she and Oscar in the house All my friend said they go to the toilet either leaving the door open or just close is but never lock it He murder her point

He is a cold-blooded killer. The person (Reeva) was behind a CLOSED, LOCKED door. So Oscar was never in danger. Even in South Africa this is murder. Poor Reeva, the absolute terror she must have experienced in those moments knowing this arrogant, hot-tempered, murderous bastard was going to kill her! 🤬🤬

My heart goes out to the family of Reeva. The Netflix special concentrated more on his Career and his struggles as an amputee and His Olympic Accomplishments. Since when Does Celebrities status become more important then the lives of the victims and their families? They don't concentrate on the victim Reeva Steenkamp as much, such an insult to the family. Reeva couldn't handle Oscar's Insecurities, He was disabled inwardly. He could of been happy with the love of a beautiful women. But now she is dead. She confronted him and maybe decided enough was enough. He got angry, He was a coward a little boy in a mans' body! He got violent and killed her, killed his career, killed his family. Killed the people that believed in his cause. He will have to live with that secret for the rest of his life. Oscar Disabled very many people. HE IS A COWARD!

If it was you in the bathroom, wouldn't you say "it's me in here" when he yelled "get out of my house"? He lost his temper and shot her.
