  • This program was based on Daniel 4 and what Nebuchadnezzar learned from his animal experience. God is God, we are His creatures, and that is one of the most important truths we can know and live by.

    One of my favorite scriptures. Giving the position of man in respect of who God is. Yet God takes notice of this most wretched creature. God's will is always done while man couldn't lift a finger without God to deem it.

      How pathetic are you guys? Who says anyone can thwart Gods will or escape His hand? JW just said that God promises to act according to his revealed nature, didn’t he? How did God reveal Himself to Moses? Why is apologia fighting abortions? Because abortion is NOT Gods will!!! How do you people not see this?????

    Neb learned what people deny because God decreeded for Neb to stay ignorant until he decided to reveal it (through this same eternal decree). People who deny it do so by the will and sovereign decree of this same God. It isn't up to them to be otherwise.

    It is not foolishness for a man to say "what have you done". Why? Because, before this person was born God decided that this person at that time would inevitably say "what have you done". The person had no say in the matter. This 'burden' was inevitably and irreversibly placed upon this person. They had no choice to do otherwise. Why? God decreeded it!!!!!!

    It is very interestuing that the composer of Daniel 4 transferred the strange religious behaviour of Nabonidus to Nebuchadnezzar. We know that Nabonidus was away from the capitol several years. We have no evidence that was the case for Nebuchadnezzar. We cabn debate wheteht the composer condfused it or the transfer was intentional to enhance the dramaturgy of the story. We know from the dead sea scrolls the prayer of Nabonidus where passages are found similar to Daniel 4.

  • @jamiejame911

    The only reason that Neb wasn't "reasonable" prior to his 'epiphany' was that God decreed it so. It wasn't in Neb's power to be otherwise (to break God's decree). Therefore, it wasn't his responsibility.

    Stories like with Nebuchadnezzar are so reasonable and comprehensible in the ultimate way, which is falling into pride and later being disciplined back to humility.
    This is how it suppose to be with all creation from human to a demon to Satan. Everyone who falls into pride, should eventually get the right discipline, right punishment to get back into the right mind and heart and give all glory to God.

      Yes, Christ died for a small portion of people. The rest of people and the fallen angels has to face Gods wrath. Yet that wrath is supposed to be that exact force which would burn down all the sinfulness out from sinners. Why would God collect it right now? What is the eventual purpose of His wrath? To cleanse the filth out of His creatures, as Ezekiel 24:13 indicates.

      34 “But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever;
      For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
      And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.
      35 “All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
      But He does according to His will in the host of heaven
      And among the inhabitants of earth;
      And no one can ward off His hand
      Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’
      --"God does his will...so he causally determines everything?"
      I guess you could say that, but I wouldn't call it causal.

      @@gabrielkinzel3389 Everybody agrees that God works in people's lives to make radical transformations and leads even the most rebellious sinners in the world to repentance. I just struggle with how this verse proves Calvinism. There's no indication in this text that this was an effectual grace; nothing about limited atonement; nothing about perseverance; nothing about whether all human beings are born totally depraved; whether election is unconditional or not (I don't necessarily disagree with all the so-called points of Calvinism), but I just am so confused how White just declares this as a demonstration of Calvinism.

    • @gabrielkinzel3389

      Because it’s a verse that so clearly states God’s utter sovereignty, and not man’s free will. But yeah, it doesn’t demonstrate *every* letter of TULIP, 😂 Good observation 👌🏻It just proves God's choice is over all, so that definitely demonstrates election and the rest tho
