Elgato is too expensive :( I wish there was a decent alternative to their pop-up in the UK.

One big thing I noticed (despite the fast moving camera) and I'm surprised wasn't brought up, was the floor model looks to hold the screen firmly in place, however the ceiling model is just hanging loose. So do you find the screen for the ceiling model moves to freely (like if you had a fan on or breeze from an open window)? Would it be best to anchor the handle to the floor or wall with the spring trying to pull the screen up?
Great comment! The hanging model has more "play" so yes it sways more but the handlebar is heavy enough to be fairly sturdy. I would make a fasten if it was up to a wall and the fan was on. If you are really curious and have an insta I can send you a video of mine with a fan test👍🏻
Nice review. Helped with my decision. Just one thing - the fast camera panning was very disorienting.

Elgato portable green screen is out of stock with no date for availability on Amazon. Where could I get one, or what is the next best brand? They have Emart and Julius? Thanks for your help.
Corsair.com ---> Streaming Gear ---> Green Screens. You will be able to find a list of retailers online or in stores near you. You can get a Google extension called Keepa that will notify you when they become in stock on Amazon. If you really can't wait and have to have a Green Screen ASAP, Neewer makes a pretty good one. What do you do if your celling doesnt have studs lined up properly with where you need it to hang?
I hung up my friends GS a few months ago and he had no studs so I used drywall screws with the hooks and it's doing just fine! And the hanging GS he got is heavier than Elgatos! Let me know if you have any more questions:)
Do you find the key to be clean with minimal lighting?
Actually yes but it has to be consistent with the low light throughout the screen to key it to be clean.
What is the material made of? I want to place it in my living room in front of windows, hopefully it’s not too transparent ( will the outside sun light show through?
It will but faintly. It depends on how bright the sun faces the window. I have not tested direct sunlight though so if you try it, let me know!
I would rather worry about bleaching
May I ask what’s your height? I wanna know if I’ll be able to use the floor one while standing up.

@@ogreeni If you are using it for standing I always will recommend the ceiling model. For sitting and portability, the floor model is perfect!
AprilMayRain I will be using it mostly for sitting, but it’s nice to have the option to stand while using the green screen (since I have a standing desk.

@@ogreeni Awesome! Let me know how well it works for you! As you saw from the video, mine is mounted from the ceiling but in a position where I can use it from both sides to do wider standing shots/filming. The hook mounts have been awesome to easily take down for things like top-down product shots. Keep that in mind when configuring your mounting setup!

Yes I did! To a streamer that I met through FB Market Place and they ended up being super cool! I still have the ceiling mounted one that I love and still use today👍🏻
@@AprilMayRain I was wondering that with a bit of inginuity wether the drop down version could be used in reverse and pulled up and held by a hook etc from the top, this way getting the advantage of width and height and to some extent portability ...
@@criddycriddy Great question Chris! I believe this is very possible and would be really cool to see with a 3D printed base mod. This is due to the drop down not having a base or bracers to hold it down/in place. You could use dumble weight too with 2x4s. The only concern I would have is the one centroid point used. The single hook might allow sway for the greenscreen to move back and forth so could look into also locking in the sides too. Hope my thoughts gave you some ideas!
