- An example of the incredibly aggressive rhythm tones, as well as the soaring lead tones that the Marshall JVM410H is more than capable of.

All I can fucking hear is Megadeth modern tone within this amp, which is a great thing. Great tones, buddy.
One of best tone I`ve hear from this amp!!!
+dsato85 Cheers dude!
Check out johan segeborn he also gets some nice tone’s out of this amp
This, out of all demos I've seen for this amp, is what caused me to finally pull the trigger on one. Kudos.
Awesome tones!!!
There are a lot of metal demos of this amp, but this one really nails it. Congrats!
Some excellent guitar playing and tones here, this video is the reason for getting my JVM210h
Holy crap i did not expect that. I love the rythm.
Nice, well done man - Balanced frequencies and dynamics you for full-step down, one of the best on TH-cam IMO
Great Sound and awesome Riffs/leads! Wow 😍
The king of of the Marshall JVM 410h 🤘
Just played this amp in Switzerland for a show. It was very good. I do agree that on Orange & Red modes it can be noisy. However, the tone is very good. I will be purchasing this amp.
Not only is this an insanely good modern metal amp, you can get near spot on plexi and jcm 800 tones as well as great cleans and a perfect pedal platform. I swear this thing does it all, but you do have to spend some time to squeeze all that out of it, it can be tricky to dial in.
Awesome riffs and tones!
Thanks for the response, I wound up picking up one of these heads and love it. It sounds great at any volume
This amp is great, the tone is great, the riff is great, and your playing is great👍
I played through one of these at a guitar center at very low volume through a questionable cab while trying out a guitar I bought, and it was still just gnarly. I would LOVE to spend a few hours with one to really open it up. The price was gnarly too; I could have walked away with it for 900 dollars! There were two of em and they're both long gone. I had no idea what an incredible deal I had stumbled upon for an incredible head.
Yeah they go for 2,800 new. I bought mine new. I live in Northern Idaho and there are no places to buy them used around here without purchasing it on the internet and I wasn't going to do that.
Did God touch this Marshall jvm 410h dam killer tone brother and great guitar player.
Thank you Mr Lewis, sir!
I'm getting me one next week can't wait
Awesome video. Great tones, wicked playing. Song was filthy. Good stuff :-)
Mean tone dude!!! Love it! Im a fan of the JVM Tones but not in love with the surface mount boards, makes it much harder to work on and or mod, but killer Amps. Almost got a JVM 210 but even though the price was killer I thought Id wait to get a 410.
They are great indeed, probably my favourite Marshall. Way too much gain though! Unnecessary amounts.
I love my 410. The best amp I have had so far.
Does the 410 have better to es than the 210 or the 50 watt combo? Noob here lol
that Marshall Grunt. no matter how you setup it, it won't sound like something else.
slammin riffs and great mix!!
Please keep making videos!
Thanks man, I intend to! Been a while but I've got something in the works...
Mine will be hear Monday on the 9 23 19
Lamb of god for sure
This amp is the synonym for Dave Mustaine.
Yes. And Alexi Laiho...OD1 on Orange with a simple Chorus pedal & onboard guitar boost for leads and BAM! Melts your face-off!
@@Juicexlx RIP Alexi
great sound and song!
Killer Sound!!
how about jcm 2000? that was great amps too dude :)
Yes great amps jcm2000
Amazing
wow you really made this think sing \m/ MARSHALL \m/
*Thing*
Sick
The sounds is greats, but cans you makes a videos showing the amp on it's owns? Barebones no boost or doubles tracks?
Amazing, you've sold me on this amp ;)
Sick tone
Man dude , awesome !! Subbed !!
Very nice sound! Can you reveal some more details about the recording chain? Preamp`s etc..
01:40 The position of the second SM57 (right side) does not fit to the perspective on the second view from the top...at least for my understanding of perspective.
What you people don't understand is why it sounds great Zilla Fatboy vintage 30s sounds way better than a marshall cab
Marshalls are not known for over the top high gain, that tone is a game changer tho. Absolutely BRUTAL. Being a great player also helps.
Thank you, sir!
This amp has been out for years, man. I dont know why Marshall's are typecasted as exclusively rock when they've been melting faces in metal damn near since the genre's beginning. For some reason its triggering me today lol. They're snarling beasts. It's just much easier to appreciate in a modern context here because the tuning is D standard.
Is this song your own composition ? If so... Really great!! Seriously!
Yes it is, it's part of a song I wrote for my old band, which I thought would be a great example for what this amp can do. cheers!
+Numbskull Audio Production really cool !
I gotta know man, what's this song called and where can I hear the full version?? Listen to this all the time and come to this video just to play it
@planetoftheamps3748 Thanks! It's a composition of my own just for the purposes of demoing this amp. I'm afraid it's not anything I used elsewhere or released, but I appreciate the support! 🙏🏻
*grabs tissues and lube*, "Whelp, here we go again..."
Esse é melhor drive
sounds sick \m/
BEAST!!!
Love the tones from this amp. Saving up for ☝️ can it get trivium KSE bfmv shadows fall machine head as I lay dying early atr tones
It can get any tone brother.
sounds spectacular |,,|
Hey man, great video and sounds. I am between this and an engl savage. I play metal but i like also to play clean or edge of break up. Which one would you recommend? Cheers
Wow, so you used a plugin and played that sound through a real guitar cab and mic'd it? That's a cool setup, never saw it before, but it seems to work very well for this tone!
+kazaakas No, this is the real head through a real cab > mic. The settings you see are from a blank Marshall template I downloaded, to add my settings so people can see them more clearly.
My goddd I want it so freaking bad but its soo expensive
Dillon Snyder you can find them used on the cheap side. I scored mine for $900 at a pawn shop!
It's one of the best metal amps of all time, but if you can't afford it, the DSL reissued series can give you some great metal tones too, and at damn-near a quarter of the price. I think the 100 watt DSL head is under 4 digits in price.
guitar center used online, $1200
@@jmcsquared18 I have a DSL100 and a JVM410 at the moment. I think the JVM sounds lightyears better then the DSL. Not alike at all. Only my opinion tho
@@Anders1980olsson It will sound fizzy unless you put something really cutting in front of it like a Precision Drive. But it's got such a good midrange, like the JVM, that it will take it like a champ. Just gotta find the right pedal combo to get rid of the upper mid fizz. The JVM definitely wins by miles tho
Hi man, excellent video =) The JVM is awesome guitar amp. I like the darker tones, This amp, in comparison between a Peavey 6505, Orange TH30, Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier and Mesa Boogie TA-30 what you think that isi more darker and not so brighter?
This amp is very bright and gnarly/gritty, so might not be what you're after. Rectifiers are definitely on the darker side of the high-gain realm, so I'd go for that personally!
Hell yes
For modern metal would you say it needs a boost? If so could it be compensated for by using a tight active pickup?
is the guitar going straight in to the amp or do you use some OD pedal? with one if so? :) Great video!
Sounds awesome, how would you tweak these settings for live performing? What guitar/pickup did you use? Thanks
Thanks! It was an Ibanez Xiphos (with EMG 81/85). For live I would have more mids, and probably a touch less presence.
What do you think about this vs. one of the JVM2 series heads? Besides the fact that the 2 series has 2 channels instead of 4. Right now I'm more inclined to go with one of the 2 series models because of the price.
To be honest I haven't yet tried the JVM2! I'd say go with the one that's going to facilitate your needs the most in terms of versatility (if that's something you require)
wondering how i can make my peavey 6534 sound like this?, im thinking turning down mids quite abit and highs... i have an eq pedal...
We used to have a 6534+ as part of our backline! Very similar, if I'm honest, but with that unmistakeable Peavey grit! Though the JVM is a little tighter/brighter. To get a similar tone I would start by kicking it up front with a overdrive/screamer of some kind. Maxon OD808 is always a good place to start, as well as many of the Ibanez TS9 variants.
But with an EQ in the loop I would go for a slight nod to the upper mids (2-4k) and a slight scoop between 200-400hz just to tighten up that bottom end on palm-mutes. Typical settings for the 65xx models are bass:6, mids:3, high:6, and then presence/resonance to taste, depending on cab and room. This is all subjective of course depending on what you're putting into the amp (guitar/pickups) but it's a step in the right direct to get ^this^ sort of sound.
I hope that helps!
Numbskull Audio Production im using a boss super overdrive.... the amp is just super fizzy! i have the option to trade it for a mesa dual rectifier, should i? i like a dark sound with big sort of roar to it, hate fizz and those insanely sharp gritty highs my peavey has
chazzy licks
How loud do you have it? At bedroom levels they are ALL fizz. The Peavey's and the Mesa's all sound like utter garbage until you have them at room-shaking levels. That's just the downfall of having monster amps. If you're still finding it fizzy even in a band situation I would suggest readdressing how you are EQ'ing it, and how much of the tone the overdrive is adding to.
Also, what speaker cabinet are you using it with? That's also a very big factor in how harsh an amp is. The 65xx series amps have a gloriously smooth roar to them, so there is clearly a problem somewhere else in the signal chain here.
Sell it and get a jvm
These riffs but played with dimebags tone = Pantera
Amazing tone here, is this amp typical of most Amps and fizzy at lower volumes?
No I'd say it was one of the few amps that can actually sound very usable at bedroom volumes, unlike the 5150/6505's and Rectifiers.
Amazing track! How did you get that wide sound? Is it from one recording panned left and right, or is it overdubbed?
Just the standard guitar recording method - Overdubbed, two tracks. One left, one right. Cheers!
Numbskull Audio Production I agree this is a really cool track! Did any of this materialize into a song that I can look up perhaps?
would you care to share the stems for these
Can this amp be switched down to 50 watts like most other amps nowadays?
Hi Jessie, no it cannot but I'm sure Marshall will release a mini version of it, since everybody else seems to be doing that at the moment, haha!
What kind of question is that? Its a marshall! Made to scream and only scream
very nice sounding acoustic guitar in the end. what is the guitar? how did you catch the acousic (chain...)?
It was a low-priced guitar by a brand called Ashton. Great guitar though. Captured with a single 57.
HE GOT HALF VOLUME , THAT IS BRAVE !
WHAT ? NO I DID NOT TURN UP THE AMP , ITS THE GUY ON TH-cam !
Great! Which speakers is in cab? and what model is cab...
Celestion v30?
1:36
Are you blind or you didn't see the Zilla Fatboy 212 cab with vintage 30s
Can we use more master than volume ? I hear somewhere that is really bad for our lamp
You should look into how tubes work, it's irrelevant. Overall output demand (volume/power) is what causes the power tubes to clip.
If anything, you should run the preamp volume maxed to force the power section to saturate sooner.
All tube overdrive tortures tubes. If you care about killing tubes, buy a digital amp.
Do you remember what guitar/pickup combination you used?
Hi there. Yes, I just about remember! (it was recorded many moons ago)... It was an Ibanez XPT700 Xiphos, with EMG 81/85 combo.
+Numbskull Audio Production Thanks for the information. I am enjoying your videos. They are well done and demo the amps & settings that I enjoy. Cheers.
We're glad to hear it, thank you for the kind words!
+Numbskull Audio Production One last question. The master volume, doest it work without the effects loop engaged?
+MrProgmtljd Yes I believe it does.
Most demos of this it's played on a marshall 412 the Vintage 30s sounds way better
never mind. I was like 40 secin to the video when i wrote that :P
Hi, any info which channel? I guess 3? Guitar? Mikro? Egal, klingt ganz gut. Und Ihr werdet uns das nicht mitteilen, weil Ihr längst woanders seid? Stimmts? Daher ist doch alles in der Musik so egal...
+Uwe Tittmann Hi there, all the info you need on the amp channel is in the video. As for guitar, it was an Ibanez XPT700 with EMG 81/85. Thanks!
+Numbskull Audio Production OK, many thanks!
Ah yes, I see you have dared to venture past the 2 on the master volume. Blood from the ears? Hearing aids for life? I have 410C and past 2 is the forbidden zone!
What's the tuning? D standard?
Definitely D Standard
Akalioun OFFICIAL My ears were right. Thanks.
Yep, D standard! \,,/
Why D Standard?
Akalioun OFFICIAL Personally, I think D standard is the lowest you can go before you start to lose clarity in the pickups and amp... at least for a 25.5 scale.
Gn. M
Why does this sound an awful lot like a Quake II music track?
