When I traveled a lot, what helped me the most was being in the location before the Sun goes down and being outside or exposed to that.
That helped a lot to reset my clock.

My normal route literally is across the planet... TX to CA to Sydney to Western Australia... 32-54 hours door-to-door depending upon connections. Fun fact I lived in Adelaide for 3 years. I never eat within 12 hours of a flight. I agree on melatonin... the supplement gives me a massive headache. I haven't found a good explanation for that. Non-orange UV/blue blocking glasses are available on prescription but $$$ I use them over UVEX orange variety now.

The longest flight I’ve taken was from Charlotte, NC to Anchorage, AK on a vacation trip, seven and a half hours. A long trip for me and I was somewhat tried.

Hello. How many days in advance of the flight do you start managing light exposure?

When we travel somewhere from Anchorage, Alaska, we often leave on a red eye flight to save money. The most miserable time is when there’s a connecting flight (usually about 5 a. m.) My daughters often got sick on that leg when they were little. Ugh!
I wanted to ask if those glasses work for people that wear glasses already?

Trip to Florence italy every year, a few times. Mostly no direct flights, or too expensive at high cost. There always have a connection somewhere for 7 or 8 hours at least waiting in an empty airport with no food choices. Most of the time I sleep because of evening flight, so no need food for me, but I drink a lot, some free alcohol offered on my trip to cope my stress. I learned from my experiences to get my tickets to Paris and from there taking a vueling to Florence, one hour trip. That make a total trip time less than 15 hours instead of 22 hours. I also exercise and stretching on plane during my long trip, instead of watching movie after movie like other passengers. Fast and stretching are very important during long flight to avoid muscles cramps and numbness. Don't worry about people looking at you, no one cares. If you need to eat I don't think s problem with a small snack and usually airlines don't give you large meal. Most are small package meals they reheat to serve passengers and some aren't worthy to shuffle inside your belly.

@@HealthCoachKait I can believe that actually and I guess someone who's used to fasting can get through no problem. Cathay Pacific for example serve a breakfast 2 hours before landing at HK early morning there even though its nighttime in UK. 🇬🇧

@@HealthCoachKaitI struggle to fast during flights too, most Asian and UAE's airlines actually serves great food, drinks and snacks! I'm travelling to Los Angeles in a few days, trying to get into at least 3 day fast beforehand. Thank you for the tips! ❤
