How long have you lived in a place that snows and you haven't got winter tires? The first thing I did when I moved to Eastern Washington was get an extra set of wheels and snow tires for winter. That being said I do like the bright green look you went with 😁👍
My entire life haha.. I think that snow and cold is just so common that i became complacent to it and knew i could get through the winter with just all seasons. Glad i made the jump though!

The Blaze Yellow came out choice Wanted to ask an opinion question for ya: I drive a Carbon Steel Grey Mk6 GTI on the Bronze 18" Ampliforms, but I got some curb rash and I'm thinking of powder coating. I was thinking white for the classic reverse stormtrooper look, but you got any opinions?
White will look great, but does get a lot of brake dust. The great thing is you have a neutral color car so feel free to explore your options! You can make anything work
I tried using plastidip on my Tacoma when I was 17... absolutely terrible. Never wanted to touch that stuff again. But after seeing this you're really convincing me to give it another shot on my stock Focus ST wheels! Looks amazing Dakota!!
It just takes practice. Trick is to do extremely light coats and do like 6 coats. The more coats the better if you don’t do enough good luck getting it off.
@@quan1509 Yeah it’s not fun. There’s a company called dip your car and they make this stuff called dip release and it basically disolves the plasti dip it’s really cool. I feel like all there other stuff is overpriced though.
I get more excited to put my winters on than my summers purely for the snow drifting lol sick vid. My dad runs an E92 M3 with snows and I run a wrx with blizzaks, so fun. Used to drive a lincoln LS sport with a set of snows and that was an absolute drift boat. Happy New Year!
Man I’m glad I don’t live out there lol. I just get all weathers and I’m set Idk if you pay attention to the drift scene in the PNW, but your car fits in nicely with the color scheme of GOON Squad. They all have bright neon gramlights and most drive black cars
Dakota, I LOVE the new color and the small matching tow hooks are the perfect final touches. I have plasti-dipped a few sets of wheels with varying success. Still think I like regular paint better but my track tires look great and they are dipped. You can fix most issues with PD by buying some Zylene. It is the base chem for PD and will allow you to dissolve and smooth the PD when you need to fix booboos and touch up. Keep it up and shout-out to the Hero Gels for allowing you to fumigate his garage!
Common W Dakota Upload!! Ngl I was skeptical about the blaze yellow, paticularly the tow hook, but man I love it! And the tow hook brought the crazy color together perfectly! The black on in your face yellow works sooooo well! Loved the energy throught the entire video too! Keep it up Dakota!

My mustang came with pirelli p zero summer only tires and when we got to 40⁰F I couldn't turn out of a parking lot without sliding. With my cross climate 2's I no longer have to worry about turning at more than 5 mph
Dude, rwd sports cars in the snow is underrated fun! Had a 86 I drove in Ottawa Canada with snow tires and it did fine. Just carry a small shovel in your trunk in case you get stuck. Also, I too drifted every turn when possible 😂

Appreciate you watching! If you have a good set of winter tires you should be solid. I’ll be dropping a video soon of a winter autocross I did in deep snow and I didn’t get stuck at all! Just remember it is a RWD sports car still, so you need to drive smart, and very careful at times. But it’s handled anything I’ve thrown at it.
That is dope dude though I don't know how bad the ice is where you are up in ND we have got quite a bit and I would have recommended studded tires which if you think regular snow tires are good man studs are on another level

Step one of the Supra battlecar! Tires really do make the big difference with traction regardless of rwd/awd/4x4, I used to live in a snowier area and all season vs studded or even walnut shell infused tires are massive. You should have bought that sick wolf sweatshirt though, but I guess you’d have to go to Walmart so I don’t blame you to not go. The wheels I think are really neat too, good way to reuse the stocks and nobody will notice the runs or issues (especially in winter) since it’s so bright. Looking forward to seeing more of the changes!
@@DakotaStone I think it’s been more prominent in the no stud winter tires within the last 10-15 years now. We used to have a Gen 1 Forester (big rip) that had a set of Toyo studless winter tires (this was late 2000s early 2010s) and a big point of them was it uses walnut shells to improve snow traction (and it sure did), drove just about as well as my grandma’s 2nd Gen Forester with studded tires (without the awkward dry road driving). Probably also the reason why walnut shells are used for media blasting too, because of the texture. I’m sure current tires use an even more advanced mix of materials.
Loving the new looks! I once had my wheels DIY painted Neon Magenta, I personally think popping wheel colors does give a different boom especially on a black car, will surely make heads turn. I bet for sure that is the best winter car to drive. Real fun to drive and real fun to work on. Shout out to Gels! what a legend. nice to have buddies like him.
Also wish I could see what the color really is in person, popping colors seem to reflect differently on camera. The blaze yellow is showing green on my screen haha! So fun to see that the tow hooks and fire extinguisher all matched the same color.

Loving the new looks! I once had my wheels DIY painted Neon Magenta, I personally think popping wheel colors does give a different boom especially on a black car, will surely make heads turn. I bet for sure that is the best winter car to drive. Real fun to drive and real fun to work on. Shout out to Gels! what a legend. nice to have buddies like him.
Also wish I could see what the color really is in person, popping colors seem to reflect differently on camera. The blaze yellow is showing green on my screen haha! So fun to see that the tow hooks and fire extinguisher all matched the same color.
