Just bought a pair of the mid height ones. I think the clockwise direction tightening is the obvious one.

I’m worried about the boa like system when you damage it on a slide fall.

You mentioned that sizing seems true to size. Would you recommend sizing up if needing to use a couple socks on a colder day? I usually wear thick socks too. Thank you SBS.

I'd always recommend sizing up if you want to wear extra pairs of socks in winter. Cheers, Tony

I already have a pair of Alpinestars Toucan Gore-Tex Boots but find these too hot for summer use.
Would the TCX Infinity 3 boots be much better in that regard?

I would expect them to be the same, thanks to the Gore-Tex liner. You'll want a pair of non-waterproof boots for cooler riding in summer, or a pair from TCX's Clima range, which have both a waterproof membrane and underfoot air channels to promote cooling. how are they compared to the sidi advenrue 2 gore-tex ?

I'd say they're a bit more road-focused than the Sidis so a little less stiff and a little less narrow. Cheers, Tony

I can only tell you about my experience, and I didn't have any problem shifting gear in these boots and a Z900 isn't a million miles away from the FZ-1 Fazer I rode while checking them out. I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

If you do a slide, with the "BOA" system put in that point you break it immediately, lie and throw away your boots ... it's not a good project at all !!!!

For you perhaps. For me, OMG - I want them! And since I'm always going to be using my Rev'it! Defender 3 Touring Pants over them, BRING ON THE SLIDES MADAFAKA haha. Love this desing, had the TCX BAJA GTX twice, and each one I took them down to Bolivia/South America... THE MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS EVER! I now own the AlpineStars Toucan GTX, amazing but not as comfortable as the TCX. So.... yup, it is a GREAT project - a rider like me wants them! (and like me theres a crap load more out there).
