I've got a pair of the Blend 2 in black and they're great. Very comfortable straight out of the box and look good. I really like them.
The X Blend is a fantastic boot and represented great value for what was a well put together, comfortable and good look boot. The Blend 2 may be no worse in its construction, but they really have ruined the look.
This video just reminds me to get myself a pair of the old X-blend ASAP.
I have a pair of OG X-Blends, still going strong after several years. Fabulous value. Have to agree that these new ones don’t look anywhere near as good. Shame.
I own a pair of XBlend boots, definitely comfortable out of the box, don’t like the look of the XBlend 2
I have black Blend 1... as well as few more TCX. I agree with Chris on this review.

Blend 1 needed more robust look. Nice try but bad final result. Bad gear pad solution.
This is perhaps new Tcx trend in making more urban less motorcycle boots (and sneakers). Like move from X five evo to X five 4.
I tried to get die old version, but I couldn't. Now, the new version is so compfy that I forgot about style in a day. I love the wide tow box and how they fit at the ankles. In fact I wear them all the time now. The lack of style is compensated for by my better charisma because I feel so comfortable in the shoes.
Purely from a cosmetic point of view, the new boot isn’t a patch on the old. I love mine, like so many others appear to do so.
It’s difficult for me to describe but there’s definitely something that’s less ‘proper’ about the way the Blend 2 looks. I’d maybe be tempted to just go more upmarket and pick up some Rokkers whereas the X-Blend seemed good enough for the money whilst definitely looking the part. Maybe the proof of the boot will be in the wearing, who knows!
I have the tcx hero. I think they are similar but with the side zip opening. Love the boots, a bit heavy.
Thanks for the insight into the new boot. I like the look of the original Xblend, because it looks a little slimmer, and I like the flatter toe box.
Question - would you know if TCX will also be redesigning the WP Hero boot as well?

Love your videos. However, from a cinematographic point of view, the second camera to the side is a bad idea. I know it’s de rigueur these days, but it has the undesirable effect of breaking the illusion that you are talking to the viewer. - it’s proof that you’re just talking to a camera, and breaks the spell. Nevertheless, great content, as usual. I’ll be in your neighborhood in a few weeks and hope to drop by. Maybe I’ll buy the boots!
In terms of safety, does this size protect the shins? Will it protect our bones if we fall to the ground? Is it a safe boot for above the ankle? Or is Sidi Midi Goretex more suitable?

I have a brown TCX Hero (almost identical to the Blend but with an additional zip to make it easier to get on and off). In fact I bought it from you. I also have a black goretex Hero which you don't sell. I love them both. They are exactly what I want in a boot. But looking at the Blend 2 I really hate it. I wouldn't buy that.

I have a pair of these, not waterproof after 2 hours in rain... I am sorry. I thought of spraying them with some waterproofing stuff, much dissapointed with WP feature although they are very very comfortable, that's right. I always wonder if gore-tex is waterproof, I got Held gloves with a membrane and they leak in rainy weather too.

Been looking for some new boots - seen the Altberg Hogg and they get brilliant reviews - comparing to the tcx boots, which I have previously - a sporty boot nevertheless. It annoys me how they sell the boots in a waterproof and gore tex options!! Don’t get it. Are the wp boots good enough?

Wearing sport shoes let’s say adidas or Nike 45.5 what size would you recommend 45 or 46? I have no wide feet. Thanks.

The old one looks better. I wouldn't buy the new one. I would still like an X Blend. The Blend 2 looks a mess. Too tall at the toe and the look of not being laced up properly. All rather disappointing.
Bring back the X-Blend !

Yikes. @ 4:20 right away they messed up the proportions and the toe box looks like a toe stadium. Damn you TCX.

I own a pair of X Blend boots and love them. The new boots look HORRIBLE.
They've ruined the look... Also what's up with these tacky huge metallic TCX lettering that TCX seems to put on their stuff now. I would remove those immediately. I don't get why so many companies think people wanna spend money to become walking billboards.
To me it looks like the X Blend looks like a Timberland and the Two looks like a Caterpillar
Bummer they ruined a good boot. Not down for the boxy toe, the shift spot, and especially not the metal logo on the side. I’ll never buy the blend 2
Shame - they’ve tried to reinvent the wheel here, and ended up with a square. :-(
Not a fan of the new look
No where near as good looking as the original.
That boot is incredibly ugly. The old one was perfect but the new is just ridiculous. No idea who’s gonna buy that. How can you not see that when designing the boot?!?

It's all very subtle when it comes to proportions. I would associate this slightly bulkier shape and (very) visible logo with mountaineering, while the old Blend were more city/biking. Makes me feel glad I went for the Heroes, hope they don't change these too much in the future.
