    Wow! This is a really well thought out kit, and reasonably priced - for all the reasons you gave. Thanks also for showing the migration path to more sophisticated solutions that can transmit and receive with a full 2D array. While this is outside my personal budget for exploring new things, I will give some thought to coming up with a good reason to invest in this, so who knows. Great video Jon!

    WOW! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PRICE! Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to work on a real working phased array radar!

    Youve put together a great video series. I found it really interesting. My router said it had beam forming, it was great to see an in depth explanation of what its all about.

    I’ll get into signals in the future, but rn I need to focus on getting through this chemistry class!
    Nice videos btw!

    Very interesting video and device, I also like your low-cost beam former and are trying to make one now with the pluto.
    Keep up the good work..

    So cool! Would love too see some machine learning integrated with this too!

    Nice price point for the type you have. Labs were an integral part of my radio tech training.

      Agreed! Spending time in hands on labs with real hardware makes all of the math come alive. You get that "aha!" moment, and then all kinds of ideas of what to do next come out.

    YES! YES! YES! Is there a reason for the limitation of the bandwidth?

    • @jonkraft
      @jonkraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Do you mean the RF freq range or did you mean the FMCW chirp bandwidth? The RF freq range is limited by the integrated receive array antenna. It has a 3dB BW of about 9.9 to 10.8 GHz. However, if you bypass that antenna, and add your own receive array, you could do frequencies from about 8 to 14 GHz. For the FMCW chirp BW, it is limited by the range of the HMC735 VCO, so you could get as much as 2 GHz of chirp bandwidth if using an external Rx array. With the integrated receive array, you would be limited to a chirp BW of 10.8-9.9=900MHz.

    Is it possible to get the GNURADIO Control block for the Phaser? Im trying to build a monopulse tracker with GNURADIO and the phaser

      Yes, thank you for also posting this question to ez.analog.com, that's the right place for tech support. That makes it easier for us. But for everyone else, here's that post and answer: ez.analog.com/rf/f/q-a/584285/gnuradio-with-phaser/532432

    Where can it be bought?

    • @jonkraft
      @jonkraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes.... I'm discovering that it takes a little while after they arrive at the warehouse, before they will actually show up as orderable. It might be another week or two before the "Buy Now" button on analog.com/cn0566 is working. However, Mouser and Arrow should be getting some stock soon. I would recommend placing an order from them or Digikey. Just search their website for "CN0566". They will show it as out of stock, but if you place an order it should ship in a week or two.

    This is analog phaser? how is this different from PCB ferrite phaser? Thanks in advance

    • @jonkraft
      @jonkraft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, analog phase shifting -- which means its does the phase shifting at the RF frequency (i.e. 10 GHz). I'm not sure what you mean by ferrite phase shifting? Do you mean an RF time delay constructed out of various delay lines?

    • @hassanrabbani3221

      @@jonkraft ferrite phase shifter . I am working on ferrite phase shifter.
