Such great fun Ann, and what a sumptuous painting you can now proudly frame. I recently purchased some soft pastels, but very much more downmarket than Sennelier, as I have no idea yet if I will enjoy it. I too dislike the dry chalky feel, so will likely follow your lead with regards wearing a glove. I would use similar to you as I am highly allergic to latex. As usual, I am catching up as I am tucked up in bed. Most things now ready to be packed by movers on Sunday, but I packed my art things myself, so I feel a little lost. I shall endeavour to remain caught up with your videos over the coming week, but my daughter will be staying with me for the first week to help me settle in. She currently lives 1.5 hrs from me, after the move, more like a 2.5 hr drive. Nerves are kicking in, and no Lily the cat to keep me calm… 🫣🥹🥱😴😴 ❤
Breathe. Count to 5. Focus on what you can. And…watch some adorable cat videos and enjoy your sweet memories of Lilly. Oh, Anita. HUGS. I started with Mungyo soft pastels-very fun, affordable and super vibrant. I hope you do get to try them when you’re settled in your new place. I am so sorry you’ll be farther away from your daughter. That’s a tough one. Our sons are thousands of miles away and that is just something I never thought I’d be faced with. I have a good feeling everything will go well with your move and Emma sis a gem!! She loves you very much and I know you adore her. Enjoy every minute. 💖💖💖💖💖
I've always been intimidated by pastels. You make it look so accessible. Thanks for this info-packed video!
Hi Irene! You’re so welcome!

Thanks Sue!
