Considering buying one of these. I dont have deep pockets, but have been looking for a "new" car for fun. My friends and coworkers talked me out of the 80s and 90s cameros and trans AMs and such. I finally agreed that they were right in calling me stupid for considering cars that would probably need tons of tlc... and money that I dont have. I'm looking for a slightly older mustang (2006 - 2009/10) to finance. People have shat all over chevys and pontiacs (GM), but I've often heard "why not a mustang?". I had pretty much written off Fords, having heard bad things about them. From what I've heard and read, the mustang is a decent car. Even a newer mustang trumps a newer chevy. Idk. Strongly considering financing one of these guys.
mantasour Id look into 11-12’s, they’re getting pretty low in price where I live and they’ve got more power than the 3V’s. I think I would have ended up with a 5.0 if I waited a few years but either way I love my car so whatever you’re into you won’t be disappointed.
Depends what you want it for? I had cams, fbo on a stock engine and could barely keep up with scats and newer coyotes, after 30k i finished building my 1500hp capable engine and now making 639whp, but a 2011 or newer gt would've been a better financial decision
I've had opportunities to upgrade my wife's 06 gt for a gt500 but she loves the s197 body style over the newer models and I don't disagree with her on that..we kept debating and test drove a 2014 and newer 2019, but still decided not to do business, and the car only has 80k miles on it, I purchased the car for her over 10 years ago, it gets pampered.. so we kept the little 4.6, no car payment in 7 years,so can't complain, car has bolt ons, full suspension, sr shocks,struts,brm upper and lower control arms, sway bar,panhard bar,camber plates, Hurst billet comp shifter,excedy stage 3 twin disk,exc...
Check the exhaust is you're missing your catalytic converters and mufflers it should should just like the only difference might be the X pipe or H pipe
Have you noticed a power loss at all? How about your gas mileage? I just got a pypes o/r x pipe and I have the Mbrp muffler delete and I almost feel like if lost both.
You lost power because you got rid of almost all of your back pressure, back pressure helps with build torque, so if u want more torque you will need to either get a h pipe and leave the muffler delete or I suggest keeping the x pipe and picking up a set of Corsa extreme pipes

Dustyn Sherrod it was pretty bad :( I didn’t really notice but now I have Shortys with the stock h pipe and muffler delete and I love it so much better. Loud on the outside but quiet on the inside
Dustyn Sherrod I wouldn’t recommend straight piping it then, I had to have my volume UP to hear music on the highway. Now with just cats and no mufflers I can listen on lower volumes.

Got muffler deletes on my 09 it seems slow taking off,but once you get going it pulls hard.& muffler deletes are only loud around 2k RPMs..I want to be louder but still wanna keep the cats..any ideas ?
