Andrew! The floor looks great! N that last video shot, I got to c the living room with the floor!! Only for a second! BUT WOW! Beautiful! Perfection!! It made my eyes happy!
I have suggestions for new Kelley's Country Life T-shirts. One needs to have the phrase " It is what it is" . And another is...." The proper tool is critical" ... lol love your vids....Your almost there Andrew. House looks great.
Andrew you are doing a great job on the floor installation, and it looks terrific, but I have to say you had me cringing when I saw you using the box cutter on the countertop 😁
"I think I'm hard to work with." I love the self examination honesty. I remember growing up and doing projects with my Dad. I felt like he has too picky and took too long to finish a project. I wanted to just get the job done and move on. Now I am that picky times two. I now want the job done right so I can enjoy the finished results. Thumbs up my friend!
Andrew you say you are “picky” my old drill sgt would call it “attention to detail”…no matter what we call it, it’s definitely a positive trait, and your attention to detail is second to none..great job
Andrew again the floor looks great. For someone who has not done this before as far as I am concerned you do better than most contractors, that’s with anything you do or have done. Love your video. Take care. 🇨🇦
Hi Andrew, this is the best floor installation I have ever seen. You are doing an incredible job resulting in a beautiful floor. This is also an excellent training video. Your attention to the details is the best I've seen. Awesome job!
As much of a perfectionist as you are, I am surprised you didn't line up the planks with the linear tan splotches so the line of tan continued seamlessly across the floor and down the hall.It looks as stunning as I expected it to..Beautiful job
I was very afraid of doing that because there is only but so many pieces with the tan. At some point you'll run out and have a very noticeable change in the flooring. I thought it better to stay as random as possible.
Lookin really good man. 👍 Hey see if I can make along story short lol, several years ago I done some remodeling in my mother-n-laws house. When I removed the full size shower/tub out and installed a 48" walk-in shower I was left with a similar little cubby hole like you have in your bathroom. I heard you say you may build a cabinet type deal and maybe put it on casters to roll in an out of the space. Well I'll give you an extra idea of what I done. I built two drawer/cabinets, upper one an a lower one, didn't really want one big drawer to slide out, and mounted them to the wall inside the space behind the shower with some heavy duty roller bearing drawer sliders I picked up from I believe Lowe's or Home depot. In detail I mounted the sliders to the wall and the other half of the track/slider to the backside of my drawer/cabinet after some precise measuring and it works great.
Love the tips and tricks you give! One of the reasons I watch you guys above everyone else is the details and the tips you give from gardening, recipes, building, and all the other things on y’all’s videos. Please don’t think you have to keep your videos to 15 or 20 minutes. We all have watched hour or more videos and the content you provided is way better then most of those. Keep up the great work!, and thanks for what you both do for TH-cam.
Hi, Andrew!! Tiffany must be getting more excited every day. One thing I noticed in the last video that I had not noticed before is seeing the window at the end of the hall. You have done excellent planning. The window provides natural light all the way from one end of the house to the other end. Your house flows smoothly. I like it. Good instructional video!! As always, you do an excellent job of explaining the process.
Andrew the floor is looking beautiful. Should say the entire house looks great. You and Tiffany did a nice job picking out the colors of all the finishes. Thought I might mention that watching you use that table saw, when cutting the thin material you lowered the blade. You should raise the blade up quite a bit so when feeding the thin material the blade will tend to force the material down on the table so you don't get the lift. Give it a try and you will see it is a safer way to rip thin material. Low blade causes lift..
@@TKCL That must be from people that don't know how to run a saw. The danger comes from a low blade and lifting and can slap the material. There are a lot of people out there that don't know how to properly use tools that are in the trades. One I used to see all the time was with the Skill worm drive saw that most carpenters used that they tighten the blade real tight. That is a saw where you just snug the blade as it is designed to slip in the event of the blade binding so you don't get a kick back. Ask 100 guys and most don't know that. Anyway Andrew I am all about safety and doing things right saw your flooring raising up and thought I would mention it to you. Most of all stay safe and healthy. I enjoy your videos and you should be so proud of Yours and Tiffany's accomplishments. You guys are going to have a beautiful home..
looks nice. Just a little pro tip. I would avoid sliding the flooring underneath the drywall corner bead. with your HVAC system, expansion and contraction is probably not a worry for you, but just in case, the corner bead needs at least 1/4" clearance at the floor. If the wall ever settles, the lack of a gap will cause the corner bead to crack/buckle. P.S. I love your videos, you have a real knack for explaining things. I found your channel while searching info about ice makers, and I'm sure glad i did!
That’s pretty awesome, you’re doing a great job. Do you ever get a minute check out videos of guys doing the glue down LVP. It’s like watching the X games or something color they lay that stuff in so fast it’s insane. I like the glue down better but it’s way too much of a pain for me to deal with but those guys are insane, they would do that whole bedroom in six or eight minutes. It’s almost like watching those guys who have done drywall for 20 years. Lol. I don’t know how those guys do this stuff. I worked in construction for probably six years and i was still slow. Lol
What was more dangerous, runnin that utility blade right on that brand new counter, or running that utility knife directly towards his leg lol. My money is on the counter top.
Although you guys missed my projected move-in date, the house is really, really looking beautiful. I assume you will be putting in white baseboards. I assume you will be putting the same flooring in the loft, too.
No way I could have done that without knee pads. We done our kitchen and it's plywood, concrete would be twice as bad. Looks amazing. Once you guys get some furniture in there it will cut down some of the echo in there I'm sure.
It is up to you however I recommend putting the toilet flange on top of the flowering that way if you ever get a leak under the toilet the water will run out on top of the flowering and not under the flowering out of sight. Then you mak not be able to do that with the floating floor I have never worked with floating flooring.
