I want to install a seamless floor without ANY transitions on the entire ground floor of my house; this video was a "holy shit" moment!! I had no idea where to start it off. Thank goodness I found this video.
Thank you for doing this. I am a local home repair guy and I install flooring all the time. You’re videos have always been helpful and I guide myself from them. But more so than that, you appear to be a really genuine and nice guy, so im thankful for you and truly appreciate your videos. I Pray for happiness for you and peace because you are a pleasure to watch. Thank you my good man and keep up the good work 😊👍🏼
Hey I just wanted to say thank you, I'm grateful there are still people who share their knowledge to help others. Now my seemingly overwhelming floor installation task seems a lot more manageable, Thanks again !
Thank you Joe and his bless you and everyone you love. I am a DIYer that usually a trial and error guy so you can imagine how much I learn by mistakes and the time and the cost it will be for me. However, I strive to get perfection. Sometimes it's done by pretty unorthodox methods. So when someone like you comes along you won't believe how much I appreciate it. Thank you so much
Salute. Joe, we watched all your videos and even got the tools that you use sent over from the States. There were so many tips and tricks that you showed that have just made the job look so professional. Installing 10 rows and moving the planks half along from the centre line to finding the centre of the house and starting there and just invaluable. To creating the template for corners and edges. All gold! Thank you Good Sir!
I just came across your videos and instantly got addicted to watching you teach. Man I wish more TH-camrs would present the way you do. After the second video I subscribed. You that good. Thank you, Happy New Year and wish you and your love ones much blessings along with everyone else too.
We succeeded in our sons room!! So proud of the work we did! Couldn’t have done it without your videos! We are now doing the hallway. Can’t thank you enough for your videos, your thoughtful & thorough! Seriously… thank you!!!!! ❤️😃🥳
You are a blessing is so many ways, Joe. These video tutorials is just a small part of it. Having said that, you’ve helped me before & are again with this video. I’m about to start a 1000 sq ft solid hardwood install in my sister’s home that opens to the living & dining rooms, they connect to a long hallway with the MBR on the other end and rooms on either side of the hallway. You once again removed my biggest concern. Thank you! God Bless!
Wow Joe. Thanks so much for your sharing of knowledge. I am blessed by God because of your kindness and generosity. I’m starting a project and you have given me the confidence to proceed. Also, thanks for your bold witness for salvation!!
A small omission: when you shift the center line to one side by half the plank width you ALSO removed one of the planks. Six down to five. Now it makes sense. Thx Joe for usable content.
I'm helping my daughter and her husband do a lament floor and the tip about the hallway going into the rooms was awesome......I also appreciate how you wear Jesus on your sleeve and you are a inspiration to me to do the same at my workplace!!
Perfectly presented! Well done my good man- well done TH-cams are rare. Great info , because many people incorrectly start in the largest room- his method makes better sense.
It's been yrs since I've done laminate flooring (1200 sq ft house, three dance studios). But the secrets and insight you provide are priceless. I planned our current project from the longest line of our house and it came out amazing! Thanks for your wisdom and experience!! The cheat l cheater board is amazing!!
I'm so glad I came across your videos! I'm about to lay my flooring across my second level and have been binge watching your videos! Have learned so much in 2 days! You sir, are a rock star!!!
Hi Joe! Just wanted to say thank you, I've used your videos in the past and really appreciate the knowledge you pass on for free. Because of you, I was able to learn the intro basics to a valuable trade, with a level of detail that gave me confidence in my work being given all of the proper tools for the job. Thanks for your contribution to learning!!
What's up Joe , love your channel, advice & education on flooring. You do a great job in teaching & installation. I really appreciate everything you do & teach flooring people .
I'm a sunroof installer, I get asked often the best way to heat their room. I know that both certain vinyl and laminate can be installed over electric radiant heat . I've used this often but only under tile. Most of my customers are on decks. How would you tackle this, or is it an option? BTW, your the most informative flooring man on all the internet. As soon as anyone even mentions an interest in dyi floors, I immediately pull anyone of your Videos and share it. And tell them.. "you guys are gonna have a million questions, this man will answer every FN one of them! Don't waste your time with anyone else. You and the Idaho painter should get together. He's just as awesome at his trade and videos as your are at yours..inside carpentry is another one. the three of you should share followers. Thanks, Tony
You know what you are doing. All these other videos, showing how to lay a floating floor, the dudes never take the baseboard off...1/4 round molding is thier go to. Thank you for being professional and showing us the correct way.
Dude! Just found your channel! Man it’s hands down the best channel I have seen for laying floor. I’ve only seen your vids On laying flooring so I’m sure the rest of your stuff is awesome too! Your saving me a bunch of rookie mistakes on my first floor! Thanks man
Instead of using a chalkline on a 3bd 2bath modular, I just finished, my brother in law told me modulars are very square. So I just followed a sub flooring seam straight down the hallway, and I was able to do the whole house seamlessly at all door casings and some where at that 22.5 angel? And everything looked very straight except that stupid 1 inch piece that I needed to lock along the wall, Haha! ....I use a 1inch chisel to pull those back in. works great, SNAP! I was quite worried honestly when I first started, I'm not gonna lie! ha, but it turned out great, and my 55yr old knees gained a bit more strength!
Absolutely brilliant series of videos covering all aspects of floor laying for the DIY person. Thanks so much for your help and time in collating these superb instructional vids. Another subscriber with pleasure. Best wishes from Northern Ireland 👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
Watched your original starting point video about a month ago. Out of all of the diy flooring vids, I’ll be referencing yours on my install very soon. Thank you.
Hey jo .I'm a contractor in keswick just north of Toronto ontario canada I've been doing laminate when pergo started . I've got lots of great ideas from you thank you. God bless
Hi Joe have a question my living room has a two level entry into the the living room. I have a a railing with balusters on on side .my question is what would the best way to do that. Should I take the railing and balusters out then drill holes to put balusters back in. I have learned a lot from you , j Jen you are excellent for explaining everything. Thank you for your channel
I have a round lifted floor ( kitchen that steps up , and a 6 foot round end . Any suggestions. Ok I know what I’m going to do, I just like your view point 👏👏👏👍
Hi joe I like the way you show and tell in your videos God Bless you and family. Can you do a video on remove level extreme uneven floor before reinstalling laminate flooring. Thanks Also stair nose end to carpet.🇬🇧🙏🏿
Do you have any videos about installing the flooring backwards? I am doing a project with multiple rooms flowing into each other and I will need to work backwards in some small areas. If you had a video that went through this process in detail that would be amazing
Joe hi. Your videos are so helpful in raising my level. I install all types of flooring. Primarily I like to sand and finish the most... Because the installation is already done :-) Installations are very labor intensive. I appreciate you making it easier, smarter and more professional.
Thank you for these videos. So thorough and informative. I have a pantry I’ll be starting in, because that was a small project and has a water heater. I plan on moving out to the kitchen, dining room, then hallway at a later date. How do I plan everything, if I’m not starting in the hallway?
Always great information! This channel was integral in my floor install. Only two transitions for 820 sf of flooring. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I am just discovering your videos and website, and as I plan to lay out the floor of our new construction early 2023, thank you very much for all of your materials. This is really helpful, especially given the fact that my wife told me "I don't want any transition" and that I have nearly 100 squared meters to lay out for the ground floor only !
I just quit a flooring store, they had the worst installers I've ever seen, I tried explaining the hall way thing to them and they wouldn't do it just because it was on you tube, I learned this hallway trick from a big time contractor, just cut its on you tube doesn't mean it's wrong, this is the right way to do things.
You are an awesome teacher. Love the video. Just one question Joe, what if the hallway don’t have the same measurements? How can I fix that ? God bless you and your family
Help! Would you still start with a hallway like this if the hallway is going to connect to a large family room at one end with the same flooring? If I did that won’t I have to work backwards for half of the living room?
Man is this guy a saint or what? I would totally work this guy for free to learn more!!! I live all his videos and he is giving away gems!!!!
I want to install a seamless floor without ANY transitions on the entire ground floor of my house; this video was a "holy shit" moment!! I had no idea where to start it off. Thank goodness I found this video.
