    Hi. Rebecca,.
    I certainly was not expecting such a quick reply. I was a facilitator, trainer and Teacher both in French and English, I developed a full 18 month training program with in class and one on on weekly follow ups, plus assigned specific presentation with live debate to ensure the degree of comprehension of the participants on the subject matter. I will, as you suggested contact companies that are providing services for those needing to learn French. I was wondering if there is one training organization that provides both French and English training or if they are one language facilities only.
    Thank you very much for the information you provided, it is most appreciated.

    I speak, write and read in both French and English fluently. I worked as a substitute language teacher for a while at the High school level and as a immersion language teacher at preschool and elementary levels. Later in my career, I was training Managers, Directors, and Associate Deputy Minister in a very specific fielding and received an award for my services. Thanks Rebecca. How much would you recommend to charge if I became a new teacher in order to have students? Too much could be not ideal to make students interested but too little could automatically mean that the teacher is probably not of a good quality? Thanks. ;)

    • @Becksxpat
      @Becksxpat  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @wenzeldiesel1491
      @wenzeldiesel1491 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Becksxpat Actually, I'm not a native speaker. I wanted to teach English speakers to learn Russian but I was surprised to see some teachers were charging only 6 dollars per lesson. How much can they earn considering the fact, they will have to pay the commission?! I saw other teachers charging 30 dollars or even more per lesson but this price will not probably get you many students. So, I'm kind of puzzled. ;) I would say, I have zero experience in teaching but I don't have a thick Russian accent and I've a bachelor's degree in teaching. I have a decent grasp of grammar though since I was working as a translator for years.

    • @Becksxpat
      @Becksxpat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wenzeldiesel1491 you can always change your price later, what I did was charge low .. actually too low and I got a LOT of students but I was only making 500$ working full time. I’d suggest looking at people’s profiles and comparing yourself to them, see if they have similar qualifications and you can see how many students they have but I would start at around 10 dollars if you’re not feeling confident yet, remember if you make your own programs for people can you think you can grantee improvements and supply homework that’ll help them learn faster you can charge more then you can start at 15$ and move your way up. Changing your price often will not effect your current students only new ones, you’ll have to individually change the price for your older students so maybe start at 10 and move up it’s exactly what I did especially with working in Vietnam I gained a lot of experience and was able to help my students learn faster and more effectively. You’re also a native speaker in the desired learning language plus you speak English and that can actually help you charge more.. it’s a little difficult to tell but hopefully my advice will help you. Remember to charge your worth. But yeah just check other peoples profiles and how many students they have (:

    • @Becksxpat
      @Becksxpat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes they’re always required to check your speech. Introduce yourself of course, say something interesting like your hobbies etc and speak slowly and calmly because some students will struggle to keep up if you speak too fast. In my video (you can see it on my channel) I even put subtitles to help students even more. The hiring process depends, for preply they manually check everyone so when there’s a rush of new teachers it can take a month but if there’s no rush I got accepted within a week and a half

      Using it on a PC is much better, when you use your phone you cannot see the video call and teach at the same time, so your video will go black while you’re looking at work to do. I am not sure about tablets but if you use Skype it may be different.
