Kun Charlie sounded like an Englishman when he switched to speaking English.

@@garyb3689 yes that is Kun Charlie, I am English too and I would guess that he has studied or lived in England. He speaks better English than some of the English people where I am from.

His English is phenomenal, probably the best I've heard from a Thai person.

I don’t think I heard anyone mention Isan to the Northeast. So many interesting things there. I hope to visit.

Agree. I myself from Isan - Nakhon Phanom, I hope many tourists or foreigners visit there. You can chill by Mae Khong River and watching sunset above Laos view.

For me, the hidden gem is Suan Son Pradipat beach (สวนสนประดิพัทธ์). Suan Son is a beach not far from Hua Hin but there are fewer tourists. The other is Lopburi (วังนารายณ์ราชนิเวศน์). There is an ancient city in the Ayutthaya period. It is different from Ayutthaya because some places in Ayutthaya will also be restored by the Chakri Dynasty, Rattanakosin period (current period). Some of the architecture will be transformed into a more modern style. Different from Lopburi which was preserved in the Ayutthaya period.

The gallery near MBK is BACC (Bangkok Art & Culture Centre). It's really good and it's free. I agree with those who mentioned Chiang Rai and the White Temple, as that's a lovely area with tons to see. Great food, too, super cheap and few tourists.

Thank you Paddy! I am a Thai Learner and am a Burmese. This type of videos are very helpful for practicing my Thai listening and speaking as well. Hope I would be able to speak Thai fluently like you in the future. ; )

I'm not Thai, but let me recommend a hidden gem for you: Wat Pariwat in Bangkok. It's no ordinary temple. Very *very* unusual decorations, but really gorgeous as well. Just go to the BRT stop of the same name. Most of the thais I know are locals who frequent that temple, but I reckon it would be my favourite temple even without that personal connection.

@@Haywood-Jablomie Now now ... Canadian teachers are first and world leaders in many categories.
They were the first world wide to walk out on strike putting the ontario students a full year back.
They were the first to actually indoctrinate their little students against their own parents if the parents did not support or hold the same political view as they did .
They were the first to refuse to have themselves tested for competency when the people were complaining about the state of the students graduating.
They were the first to actually quiz the students on the actual student equivalency exam papers BEFORE the students took that test ( the results are used to determine the effectiveness of the teachers but since the students in effect were provided these tests before hand ( allowed to cheat) the results are always very high, thus the teachers hold these results above their heads as a badge of honour ( dishonor )
And I wont even get into them grooming the little kids into the LGBTQ lifestyle...OMG !!!.
For foreign students coming to Canada for an extended higher education...its more of an indoctrination which proves to be more of a detriment when they return to their home countries. ...

One of the best things for me has definitely been Island hopping through Phuket's Islands! Was surreal to swim in the lagoons, could stay there forever!
Another destination is Koh Chang, truly a hidden gem. The seafood there was amazing! However the best will always be the night markets you find around the smaller cities :-)

The Deputy Consul general dude had a bit of a British twang to his English....I am guessing he either spent quite a bit of his career in the UK or he spent some time time growing up there.
Yet another great video. Just a pity nobody suggested some truly out of the way attractions such as the old communist tunnel systems in Betong, Yala province.

I'm gonna do my next Thaiand trip just like the previous ones: no real plan and go to random places, trying to go more non-touristy ones than touristy ones. But this time I might apply for a visa in advance so I can stay more than 30 days.

My advise travel anywhere there are few if any foreigners. Since you speak Thai your opportunities are endless. In my opinion the best places are where you never see a foreigner. Could not pay me enough to go to Chiang Mai city way over rated.
