Where the rubber meets the road. Join us for trolley bus and motor bus rides and see other buses that will be open and on display. IRM is the only museum in the country with regular trolley bus operation and this is the best time of the year to see a variety of trolley buses and motor buses in operation. Great photo opportunities for the bus fans.

Great to see so many buses running. Wished I could have made it.
My favourite was the New Flyer with the driver on the speaker.
I noticed it's hub reduction axle which I've never seen before. I'd like to know what engine it's got. Sounded to have either a Voith or Renk gearbox. Sounded a lot like a MAN bus.
16:17 This double-decker bus was donated to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois.
No the bus is privately owned by a museum volunteer.

Nice video. Any idea where the GMC Old Look transit bus is? It has always been my favorite and was one of the first buses the museum acquired.
I believe both of those busses the museum own are in one of the bus garages located at Electric Park. Not sure when they are out next but you may be able to reach out to the museum and see what they say.
