Scammers typically target the elderly and attempt to steal money by several means.
1. Your Bank Saving or Checking accounts
2. Investment accounts or 401k retirement funds
3. Credit and Debit cards
4. Purchasing Gift cards
5. Cash withdrawls
6. Cryptocurrency
Scammers are ruthless criminals that have no problem stealing every last dime from their victims bank accounts. Please protect yourself as well as family members who might not be familiar with these type of scams.
It's great to see Anydesk helping combat scams on their platform. I'm hoping to get their model adopted by all remote access vendors.

Pierogi’s confidence and the fact that he has proof to make these scammers go all out of whack is honestly scary but amazing at the same time.
Just shows how easy it is to fight back and win against the scammers
Let's just be glad he uses his powers for good
@Ripley Fry don't get me wrong. I love what he does, but if u think this shuts them down, it doesn't. There are dozens of different remote desktop software. At worst, they were shut down for a few hours, a day at most. Still better then nothing.
@@stang10189 true. But a few less is always a good thing
@@stang10189 I think he's gaining some advantage, you are right in part, they can use a new system, but some of the parts and they serial numbers or addresses can be used to ban them. So they can't repurpose the machines they used till got banned. This will add huge cost to their operation because they will need new computers and new hardware.
5 years ago, my mom got her identity stolen from a scammer who claimed he was "trying to fix her computer." I've wanted them brought down ever since. You guys are heroes. Thank you
Same here; they almost got $10K out of my elderly mother the same way a decade ago. Fortunately I had previously set-up sms authentication on all online transfers with her bank due to her developing dementia, so the authorisation code went to my phone (not hers, which they had already taken over) and I was made aware in real-time that someone was attempting to grab her money. Had to completely wipe her computer and do a full re-install from scratch as they had installed keyloggers and various other pieces of malicious software; also had to bin her SIM & phone number & start afresh there too.
@@philip4193 I believe now there are ways to bypass sms authentication as well. I’ve always believed, Evil is stronger, unfortunately.

My grandfather once got a call from someone claiming to be my uncle requesting money for bail. He almost did but luckily he got stopped by my grandma. Keep up the awesome work man! You're seriously changing lives.
My family kinda had the same experience they called my nan pretending to be my mum saying she needed monet for shopping and they was very persistent and they was calling her multiple times and texting her being really rude (she's the sweetest person so generally thought it was my mum) gave her bank details BUT her bank noticed someone was trying to take large amounts of money out at midnight and froze her account since then she doesn't answer phone calls (she was alone so had no one to stop her)

Love you guys. I'm a disabled vet/consumer advocate and work with vulnerable veterans, educating them how to avoid these scams and show your videos. Many have already fallen prey.
I'm trying to collect phone numbers (albeit likely spoofed over VOIP often violating DoNotCall Registry. I'm an IT professional and the amount of these computers that come into our shop is alarming. We always do a fresh install of whatever OS after someone was remoted in as we don't have the whole picture of what they did. You're doing good work man keep it up.
So system restore doesn't work - they need format and reinstall?
@@gerigame2995Depends on how you are doing it. If you are using your Microsoft account, it won't be clean. Use a USB flash drive as your boot drive and install Windows.
Stonks, more scammers bringing pc’s, more money 😂
@@gerigame2995 modern viruses persist through system restore, so yes.
You pretty much have to save what you can, Scan that drive by plugging it into a dummy pc (one you arent worried about losing) - then if it comes out safe, you can transfer your old important documents, photos, etc, over. It's really best to just format everything. I've had viruses hide in some scary places. Somehow in 2016 I got what is called a "rootkit" and the virus worked even AFTER I formatted my hard drive. A computer guy tried to explain to me that it had been installed somewhere that the OS doesn't reach.. so then I used a linux tool to erase the drive, and the virus was actually gone. Windows installer does not really format.
TL;DR Restore points dont take viruses away. You usually have to delete everything.

I can’t thank you enough, you helped so many people who are scammed and these scammers also makes a bad image of india. Thanks for your efforts to close these scams centres ❤

There's a lot more of you, then them. DO something about it.

There are corrupt police anywhere not all are corrupt. But this scamming is so much in India the government is doing nothing is a shame.
@@mariajmc6557 I know not all, I seen some footage of scammer centers getting arrested, but they started trying other ways to stop them when found out police didn't care at some places.
As an Indian speaking, generally the people hate scammers just as much as you guys. I’m Bihari, so we aren’t really known for scams as much as say, Bangalore people, but the police care, and it hurts to see other people say otherwise. Contrary to popular belief, scam centers are shut down frequently, usually through some kind of “accident” that everyone was in the room but coincidentally, “nobody saw”. Only one or two scam call centers out of many stay undetected by the people and remain open.
I don't think your perspective about the situation correct . I mean you can't say the whole Police is corrupted without knowing the whole situation.
As these scammers already outsmart most of of the literate. The thing is just that these scammers can get away from anything because of their knowledge and experience. There is nothing to be done by the Police.
@@Lucvx Do watch some other video's about scamming centers in India, they do roll up some of them, but there are also cities where they gave all the details with full address to the police, and the police does nothing. You literally did a Thanos Snap on these scammers and stopped them for good, something that both the government and police just don't care about here.
Thank you so much!
I feel all that's left is to eliminate the scam bosses once and for all, one by one!
Nah, didn't stop them for good.
They'll just create new anydesk IDs like any other half way competently run business, port over the data from a backup computer, and resume where they left off within 15 minutes.
Without using a root kit to place encrypted keys from anydesk in the comp's BIOS memory they can just wipe the drives, reinstall anydesk, create new IDs, port over the victim data, and resume where they left off. Sure, they might not have immediate access to victim comps, but they'll sucker in new vics within hours.
OFC, writing to BIOS is a huge virus flag so even a bad AV package will catch it so there's no real way to stop these scammers other than a bullet or brick of high explosive.
The only way to stop them is by making a bios timebomb. After about a week, the virus should activate and permanently turn off the fans and over temperature protection of the GPU and/or CPU. This would make all the computers on the network extremely slow and possibly permanently destroy components in them. A harddrive reload won't work. Computers are expensive.
The other day I had one call me and I said "scammer payback", the change in his voice was memorable, you are getting them where it hurts, well done sir.

@@sarahm4046 Why would they waste time taking actions against scams while this wouldn't be any profitable the them? I also thought of them removing the feature when someone can make the guy's computer screen on the other end black temporarily which would prevent so many scams from happening.
They will keep going through remote-access outfits until they find a company that's too desperate for revenue to care more about ethical issues than the scammers themselves. For naive victims, they have no idea who the mainstream connection app players are at all. They don't know "Anydesk" from sqwat.
Remember that the big scam centers are often part of bigger front-end outfit doing more or less legit business, and as a last resort will contract with an Indian code-mill company for a custom connection app, stripped down to the essentials for the specific features needed to, eg., hide screens, edit html, etc.

You do one heck of a job thank you for closing them down go get those damn scammers make an ass out of them
Amazing work you did there! And those scammers still keep lying and try to appear superior, no matter how far they are pushed into the corner.
Awesome work!!!! I got scammed a year ago by a military romance scammer but thankfully I was able to do some research and actually found the guy who’s Photos was being used. But scammers are rife here in Australia as I’m sure you’re aware. Got a call from one the other day that I had watched trilogy media deal with that day. It was word for word. So thank you to you scammer payback and all the other guys associated with you all in this war against scammers. Great to see a huge win like this one!!! Keep up the awesome work 💜
Horrible, Sorry this happened, it really pisses me off when people taking advantage of innocent people like this, I was also a victim too, Sorry you encountered this same thing, have you reported your case to the internet crime complaint center?
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for getting after these pathetic scammers!
Perogi, you're saving us Americans millions. Not only that, you're preventing heartache and saving lives. Thank you. 😊
He is saving us Australian's too !! What a man, what a project...😊
Saving lives huh? Do you think moving in just a tad hyperbolic?
@@BVonBuescher bro doesn’t realise how serious identity theft is smh
@@BVonBuescher Yes, people have taken their own lives because they feel shame when it is these scammers who should take the 6ft temperature challenge.
if only the average Us citizen would get better education ....they would be their own Saviors . Same goes in Europe unfortunately . And Governments , what do they do ? Nothing , they take the tax payers money by Millions every month without much effort ....so they do'nt care much about whats going on . Lazy system we live in where Education is a Golden key
You should be appoined as the Chief of Cyber security for India! Great work man I really appreciate the work you are doing on Indias behalf. I don't understand why indian agencies are not taking them down when the evidence and their exact location is on youtube.
Bad idea he’ll get targeted and killed. Staying anonymous in a whole other part of the world is important and your best bet from these criminals
Because of corruption and possible bribes.
Indian police are corrupt and on bribes, also they dont care and there are barely any good cops if at all. No pride in their work Unfortunately. Its such a shame the state of things over there
India's law enforcement is all on the take. These scammers are paying them all off. To them it's well spent money. To keep them out of jail.
Imagine how many thousands if not millions of people Pierogi and team have saved 💪🏻👍🏻
millions ? nope because they are still millions of unaware citizens caught by those scammers on a daily basis .
True. Heart breaking to see they stole lifetime saving from vulnerable people.
These scammers will obviously be too scared if their worst nightmares were out to haunt them. It's great to see AnyDesk helping combat scams.
I freaking love this channel and love how you and your team shuts them down! You guys rock and I’ll continue to support and watch your channels!
Love it that you help so many victims from these scammers!!! Keep up the good work!
