Na-discover ko yung technique na 'to when I was in my high school age, around 2008 nung nag-simula na ako tumugtog ng mga heavy metal. Acoustic na gitara lang gamit ko, Maestro yung tatak na nabili ko pa sa JB Music sa halagang 899 in year 2006. Aksidente lang ang nangyari, at dahil nga acoustic lang ang gamit ko sobrang hina lang ng tunog ng pinch harmonics. Hanggang nagkaroon kami ng chance makatugtog sa mga studio at makagamit ng pinapangarap kong electric guitar na may effects. At ayon, nagawa ko nga ang pinch harmonics. Nung mga panahon na 'yon, hindi pa masyado uso yung mga tutorials sa YT, at hindi rin afford ang mag-computer shop, kaya napaka-palad ngayon ng mga baguhan dahil isang search lang sa YT marami ka nang matututunan! Hehe, ang pina-practice ko kasi that time is 18 and Life, at may pinch harmonics don, pilit ko siya kinukuha sa acoustic guitar, at nakuha naman dahil natsambahan ko yung technique, pero napaka-ganda netong video mo dahil sobrang detailed ng explanation. Kasi ako kapag tinuturo ko 'yan, sinasabi ko lang na 'patatamain mo yung balat mo ng onti' HAHAHAHA

As a guitarist, these are fcts on gear tips 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. And additional tip pala for Gear tip #5, although mas recommended ang lighter gauge strings for pinch harmonics, there is a tendency na magiging wobbly ang strings pag nagdowntuning kana ng gitara, specifically pag metal na ang tugtugan. So, I highly suggest to use heavier gauge strings then tune it into lower guitar tunings para makuha parin ung lambot ng strings for pinch harmonics.

Use the bridge pickup 100%! Ito 'yung hindi tinuro sa akin dati, pero nung nalaman ko ito, parang magic. 'Yung same technique na ginagawa ko sa pinch harmonic dati, hindi talaga gumagana. Yun pala, kailangan ko iswitch sa bridge pickup.

Easy to follow guide, despite it being only a little bit in English 😄 but I am still struggling after WEEKS of practice. It’s very hit and miss for me, only 40% of the time I can make a correct pinch harmonic 😢

I can still remember in 1996, when i buy a Guitar Player magazine, there was an interview with Dimebag Darrell (RIP IDOL) how he made thus unusual sounds from the Cowboys From Hell. Although, he made it though accidental discovery it puzzled me for years until ive watch it in MTV in a close up

Mukhang ako lang nahihirapan mag project ng squeal sa mga single coil types of guitar pickups? Unless mag pile ako ng gain or change to special types like Sinner Or Trilogy? Or baka dapat na discuss mo din yung mga single coil hindi masyadong makakapag paiyak ng malala like what mentioned above? Surely they can still create pinch harmonics pero again, not as fun as using humbuckers. But anyway, everything was explained properly and effectively. Ikaw ang beacon of guitar learning sa Pinas. Madalas Kong gamitin Yan Lalo na sa Killswitch Engage. Most of the songs nila Meron talagang pinch harmonics. Same din kay Zakk Wylde and he is the master behind it.

Nakuha ko ng maayos yung pinch harmonics dahil may Computer teacher kami na gitarista and tinuro niya yung pull-off solo ng Sige by 6 Cyclemind na may "paiyak". haha

Thats actually a secret ingredient of most famous solos like 214, koleidoscope world, parting time etc., may mga nagcocover ng mga solos ng mga kanta na yun, without the pinch harmonics, they hit the notes accordingly yet bitin talaga pakinggan, for me that's the most amazing guitar technique kasi hindi sya obvious, if youre not familiar with it hindi mo sya basta makokopya.
