Thanks man, I just about gave up and almost took my truck in to an audio shop cause my last amp didn’t have fuses in it. It fried my 100amp fuse by the battery and melted the casing for it. Replaced the fuse and casing, bought a new amp and hooked everything back up, no sound from the subs. I did ever step in your vid and chased it down to the Ground. It was so corroded and wasn’t even attached to the bolt anymore, I felt pretty stupid assuming nothing could go wrong with a ground. Fixed it, now it works. You saved me bro, right on for the vid.
Although i have years of experience with audio. I was dumbfounded when i saw that you tested your amp with a rca to aux jack to test the stereo rca. That is genius. Lol. Good video.
Also a bypass if you don't Wana plug RCA into stereo get a fm transmitter that is in and out on aux cord then do Bluetooth to it and it will play your own radio stations along with the amp
If your amp kicks off when the bass hits that usually means that the speakers are wired at an ohm load that is not stable with the amp. If you have an amp thats only 2 ohm stable and you wire down to 1ohm then that amp will shut down when the bass hits at a high volume. Most of the time it wont kick off aat a low level when this is occurring but as soon as you turn up it kicks off.
Thank you for this video, my subs would stop working when I played a song with a lot of bass. I checked the ground wire to see how it was mounted. Who ever installed it at the dealer used a black painted self tapper to mount the ground wire and the paint was still there. I replaced the screw with solid metal and chipped the paint off and screwed back in. As soon as I did that I played a song and my subs wouldn’t cut off anymore.
Lol I understand why would someone just screw it to a painted surface (lazy) but to screw a painted one as well lol well that’s just crazy haha - thanks for your comment made my day haha 🤣
Just to put it out there, I have a 1000w kenwood amp and it has full power at main and remote turn on but no power at all going to the sub, + and - terminals on amp are likely fried, internal fuzes and external fuzes replace all. Like if this helped but not sure yet if it fixable on all models.
I hear a pop when I turn my car on like someone is plugging an aux cord slowly. And all that turns on is my cooling fans for my amps and subs. And if I turn my stereo up all the way, I can hear quiet music.
Check what speaker that poppin noise is coming from , that usually happens when to wires or the terminal for the speaker is making ground to the car, or touching any other wire
I've had that issue and I fixed it by using a light switch between the 12v+ and the remote wire. Turn head unit on and then flip the switch. Do the opposite when turning off the sub. I don't understand why this worked for me but it fixed the annoying thump coming from my subs when turning em off

All cables are good, the amp is on. One minute I got sound when I first turned the car on and then.. Once I tried to turn the volume up it cut off.. The protection light didn't cut on, but what I did notice is that on the sides where the neon lights of the amp normally turn on, they were off.. But the light logo in the middle of the amp was still turned on. So I'm guessing that something internally in the amp burned out.. Maybe a capacitor went bad, resistor or Transistor?

I'm thinking my head unit has gone bad , I've a pioneer avh8500bt. The other day the ground wire for my sub amp came loose, I reconnected it an it was fine then a coupe days after that the sound from my sub and my speakers came out distorted, then barely any sound at all an then after a lil bit no sound. What's the possibility of two separate amps going at the exact same time? Unless the ground wire swung onto the other amp an somehow they both shorted out? I wanna test the RCA cables out so I will try out what u said tonight thanks, I'm assuming if it comes out clear the amps are messed up an of it comes out disordered either the RCA cables or the head unit or messed up, then I would replace the rce cables and if it still is comes out distorted I would know for certain that it is the head unit

Hey, thanks for the tips buddy but I have a question ; I was bumping my system which has 2 amplifiers, 1 to power the components in the front and the other one for the subwoofer in the back plus I have an electronic cross-over. While turning up the volume too high, the sound completely went out in the front but the subwoofer is still working. My question is, could the electronic cross-over give out and cause the sound to go out... is it possible for the electronic cross-over to fail? And I read somewhere that even if 1 tweeter or midbass driver goes out..... the amplifier powering them will shut off completely, is that true? I know it's not the amp because I switched the front amp to power the sub and it worked fine. I'm thinking I didn't adjust the electronic cross-over correctly and blew the tweeters out causing the amplifier to shut down. What do you think might have happened?
I've got a 1600.1 audio pipe amp I've tested it with voltage meter all the way to sub it gets power I turned it all the way up at one point and my sub cut on I tried to cut the gain down on the amp and it cuts the sub off again I know the sub doesn't need all the gain but now I can cut the amp all the way up again but sub doesn't kick back in is my amp fried or the sub?

ok, I just installed a new amp and front speakers at the same time. I put in the driver door speaker and tested it with the amp and it worked. then I put in the passenger door speaker and tested it and it worked. I then started putting everything back together and got about halfway through and tested it again and I got nothing from the front speakers. only the rear. I checked the amp, it has power, I tested the rca cables as suggested in this video and got no sound, so it isn't the rca cable or stereo. I can't figure out what else it could be. if it was a speaker issue, it would most likely be just one speaker. so what is it? can anyone help a brother out? thank you! good video, btw.

Maybe your remote wire needs more power. Try adding another wire to it. For example you got your remote wire twisted into the amp on wire coming from your head unit, then twist another wire like your ACC wire like it says on the wiring diagram. So you'll have 3 wires in total twisted including the remote wire.
Hey man my amp when cold it works but after a couple of minutes there's no sound but the amp is on i replaced the rca's and check the power cables and everything is good can you help me...

@@iamyzdemon5717 most head units have a subwoofer on/off feature. Put your head unit in standby mode and cycle through your settings. It might be located in the pre amp out setting.
A quick and easy way to stop that terrible whining noise coming through your car stereo speakers is to use a ground loop isolator or inline noise suppressor
Actually I did figure it out. In my case the rca Jack's that are connected to the amp. Was a lil loose. I squeezed the rca Jack's making it a lil tight n snugg wen u plug it in. Now works perfectly no problems what so ever. Try that and try ur rca Jack's turn or rotate the jacks spin slowly left n right
Hey thanks for the video! So I went through the steps... Alphine MRP-M500 turns on. However, has no sound. So I used a RCA cable with a headphone jack and tried playing it through my phone... still no sound. Does this mean it is the amplifier itself that is broken?

Killin me man. this is not ho to fix an amp. this is what all your wires do how to trace down a failed wire. to fix an amp you have to get in it. the amps fine, your looking at power and signal fail. i am looking at i sold a amp to some guy that is 100% ( brand new) and hes bringing it back with no output after a month and saying it never worked.
Good - - well hopefully is just the rca cables -
Hi can you help out please i have 2012 MDX trying run RAC input & output converter . Taking out my rear subwoofer to replacing with 10" kicker. custom fiberglass box.

Maybe you can help me out.. Had my touchscreen amp and subs all hooked up by a professional.. It worked fine a whole week.. Then on my way home it shut off.. Didnt smell smoke or anythin.. So i was googling some info on the specific amp and it said to disconnect the power and the rem wire i did both and nothin.. So i accidentally rubbed the rem wire against connected wire ad went to connect the rem cable and the led light would shine then like dem down and shut off..so any idea on how to fix the rem wire.. I know my amp isnt blow as its just the rem wire.. I just tried to connect it to the ignition fusen( how i had my other amp) and it didnt work
Yo I have and dual Bluetooth media player. I hooked everything up correct and it comes on with sound and then sound goes out after 5 min every time
Check your ground wire be sure it has good contact
Mizta Shy Just realized my negative battery cable is loose and when I hit a bump it also goes out is it my loose negative cable? Possibly

Ok I have a problem.my system has fail sub.9 band EQ.1000 watt 4 CH Amp.all was good. But now when each chanel from the amp is connected to my sub no sound from the sub.if I unplug 1 wire I have sound.i get sound from both channels of the EQ.i have sound from each channel on the amp.i also get sound from each channel of the sub it's only when I go to connect the 2 channels of the sub that it doesn't work. For year's I've had left and right channels connected to the daul sub .I've checked the wire's on the sub.leads both channels on the EQ & the Amp & the stereo all work's .Only when I connect the 2nd terminal of the sub that's when the sub stops working.iam lost.Any though's .
Did u ever get that fixed
Having the same issue
Everything good on anp but nothing coming from any if my 6x9s any help Appreciated thanks

Ok... what if it’s been working well up to a point where it just stops making sound? It’s showing power and no protection seems engaged... yet it refuses to make sound. Que Carajo?!
Did you recently change battery or did it die on you ? Check stereo settings for some stereos you have to switch on the sub option from the stereo
Mizta Shy
nope. It’s been running happily on the same battery. Also I set the the radio itself to power on the sub amp. Although, I did turn it off when the amp started malfunctioning.
hey I have hey amplifier well connected and Outta nowhere my subwoofer just turn off and I go on my trunk to see what's going and on the light on my amplifier is on but the green light looks very low like it doesn't have enough power what could it be ??

The remote wire is to turn on the amp
I have a california profile amp the light blinks green and the protection light doesn't come on at all is it salvageable?

I have the same amp with 2 kenwood "explode" 10's it's been running fine, until yesterday. I was driving and suddenly the subs shut off. Then then I went home to get ready for work, started the car again and they worked for a couple min then shut off then turn back on after about 5 min for like 3-4 seconds. What's wrong? Help
It can lead to shutting off of the amplifier.

ok, I just installed a new amp and front speakers at the same time. I can't figure out what else it could be. if it was a speaker issue, it would most likely be just one speaker. so what is it? can anyone help a brother out?
thank you! good video, btw.
i have an amp problems with sound coming from it to sub will stop but when i unplug speaker wire and plug it back i have sound for awhile until i shut my suv off then back on no sound until i unplug it again

My amp has power but when I ground it it shuts off?
hi i have a amp and there is power but i have no sound, i have checked all cabling and my rca's especially, changed the rca's as well but still nothing, the sub is working fine but i still have nothing, please help
Maybe your remote wire needs more power. Try adding another wire to it. For example you got your remote wire twisted into the amp on wire coming from your head unit, then twist another wire like your ACC wire like it says on the wiring diagram. So you'll have 3 wires in total twisted including the remote wire.
Did you
Ever fix this?
I've checked all my fuses and wires, the amp still won't turn on
my amp's light red light is just blinking what would be the cause of this??
a possible cause is that your RCA converter isnt grounded. you might have the ground pluggd into the wrong socket at the back of your head unit
Hey man my amp when cold it works but after a couple of minutes there's no sound but the amp is on i replaced the rca's and check the power cables and everything is good can you help me...
Ur amp over heats not pushing out enough power or u have a bad ground
Dude... I have the same car. Are you running subwoofer with that amp?

Did either one of you figure it out? All my shit is on I'm running a 4channel for the doors and they play perfect and the other amp the powers the subs is on (green light lit up) but zero sound.... brand new power and ground with its own fuse
@@iamyzdemon5717 most head units have a subwoofer on/off feature. Put your head unit in standby mode and cycle through your settings. It might be located in the pre amp out setting.
Checked all my fuses all good amp on but no sound wtf please help
What about the funny sound in the speakers when driving
I need help
Went i turn it on it makes a buzzing sound i turn the light on it the buzzing sound goes away i need help please
A quick and easy way to stop that terrible whining noise coming through your car stereo speakers is to use a ground loop isolator or inline noise suppressor
My subs only turn on in fm not in bluetooth but they used to play in bluetooth before can anyone help
Good work boss! Thank you
my amp powers on but i get no sound what could be the problem
D Anderson you ever figure out the problem im having the same issue?

Speaker wires good ??
very good explanation
U saved my fucking life man
How tou check the channels
thought u was gonna troubleshoot internal of the amp motherboard 😆 if no sound...
LOL It has power, everything on and working , protection comes on as a flash right when it comes on but goes right off and green all the way but zero output. i put an identical amp in its palace and it runs fine on my test set up. so i wanted to come in and see what he blew exactly. I believe he hooked the subs up incorrect and had the wrong ohm load. but i cannot say for sure as i do not know the test for that shit yet.
Lol cranked my subs up and amp shut off and never turned back on🙄
hey ever fix that?
the lights on my amp turn on but the power light does not, also the protect light turns on for about two seconds then turns off but the amp continues to stay lit up and the fan inside is running. what should I do
did you check the board inside for burned parts like diodes or capciters?
yorick20 everything seems intact
Thank You.
My rca out isn't working but when I put the wire in in-port my amp gets power. It was working fine till Tuesday

Thanks for the help man
Just got my new amp. I switch everything from the old amp to the new amp. The amp is on but no sound. I rewire everything to the old amp and I get sound. Is the new amp a bad amp?
Most likely check the fuse that’s on the new amp
This guy literally went over the simplest shit without actually troubleshooting the amp. All he troubleshooted was the car wiring not the amp
THANKS BRO
No problem
