Extracting RGB, CMYK and LAB Channels Into Separate Layers Using Channel Mixer (in Affinity Photo)

    Super useful, thank you! And, probably to get the lightness right, you could change the order of layers - putting lighthess on top with blend mode luminosity, then another with overlay (or maybe some LAB-based mode), then another with normal. Didn't try it but it should work...

    Thanks - is there a way of saving each separated CMYK layer as greyscale file? This is for making screenprinting positives

      Try this: For any image, ensure top layer is pixel (eg with Layers/Merge Visible) go to Channels tab, Right click each of Pixel CMYK (not composite), Create Greyscale Layer. This will put a layer above in greyscale for that channel (colour). Rename the layer as appropriate. You can then turn these layers on and off in the Layers tab to expose the appropriate colour for export.
