Excellent backing track! Thank you! It’s 3 Dominant 7 chords, each in its own key. First play 1-3-5-b7 for each chord, then add in b3 only ever going UP into 3 (a chord tone), never 3 down to b3. Add in 4-b5-6-2, one at a time and in that order (2 is the hardest to use properly). Now you’ve associated Mixolydian + the Blues scale to each of the 3 chords (1-2-b3/3-4-b5-5-6-b7). Even b2-b6-7 can be used in chromatic lines that resolve. - There are 3 Dominant 7 chords in each of the 5 CAGED positions; associate those notes to those 3 chords.

thanks so much for this awesome backing track !!! am a kiwi New Zealand rock n roll musician who loves to play and cover late 1950's , 1960's and 1970's and 1980's American, British and New Zealand kiwis rock n roll oldies music ! and I plan on practicing along to this exact country blues in E major backing track as a 12 bar blues jam to help me with my lead guitar improvisational skills and techniques to help prepare me for playing the lead guitar and lead guitar solo for the late 1950's British rock n roll song called "Move It !" by Cliff Richard And The Shadows !!! :) which is also a 12 bar blues jam in the key of E major ! :)

I wouldn't be really earning anything from it as i havent got a big fan base but it would be a start to get one of my songs out there so could i use it for my song please ill give full credit to you and your channel.
Hello @rockinjukebox7035, I'm a bit surprised that I got the exact same comment from @freddysdreamchannel7233 with the same request, but if you enjoy it and give me full credit, you're more than welcome to use this track as backing for your own song . You cannot use or post my tracks as-is unless you add some of your own musical ideas or performances. Have fun! Kind regards / best regards!
Yes, you're probably right. It's not easy for me to always find the right "category". I used the term "blues" because the chords form a 12 bar bluess sequence. This channel isn't about musicology, but about having fun with playbacks, improvising, practicing and developing your own musical ideas. I hope you enjoy my tracks and I would be happy if you stopped by from time to time. 👍😎
Of course, you are right! I could have specified eighth notes as the tempo, but that doesn't feel right either. With 8 beats per measure, at least the 12-bar blues chord scheme is retained. Anyway, I hope you have a lot of fun playing and improvising and that you'll stop by from time to time.
Thanks for your comment! Yes, you can see it the way you describe it. I thought for a long time about how to set the tempo since the music was already finished. It feels "uptempo", but then it would no longer be a 12 bar blues scheme, but 24 bars long. But counting quarters at 94bpm didn't seem intuitive or natural to me either. As I understand it, there isn't always a clear, correct way of counting or indicating a tempo. I can also count a fast 6/8 grove as a slower 4/4, even a waltz at 180bpm can be counted as a 4/4 with a triplet subdivision. So you are absolutely right that this track could also be counted, felt or named differently. I still hope you have a lot of fun with this and other of my tracks. All the best!
Thank you very much for your many kind comments! I am really happy that you enjoy my tracks. Thank you for playing along! Have fun! Please stop by every now and then!
