A fantsatic evening! Another brilliant Intercooler event not even let down a tiny bit by the winning Autoglym ticket being between me and another guy, and him getting to it first :-) Thanks to all involved, looking forward to the next one - whatever it is.
Oh - and I want one of those CALLUM chairs. A *lot*

Ian Callum is one of my heroes......a man that can design a beautiful modern car. Given most new cars these days leave me scratching my head......"did they really mean to make it so ugly?!.......I believe Ian's designs will be looked back on much like the Pininfarina greats. In fact, the few modern cars that really turn me on are the current Aston Martins, and they still carry the design genes that Ian started back with the DB7. Please, may we have more from this great man?

Nice work. Shame the O+A wasn't included.

The DB7 is his best - owning one myself - but with Jaguar, Callum failed and made this iconic brand sort of a KIA... before Callum Jaguar was a brand of which every woman, who had otherwise nothing to do with cars, used to say: it’s a Jaguar and I want one! Nowadays, you could put a KIA label onto it and everyone would believe, it’s one! - I consider myself that Marek Reichman is the greatest living designer!

Ian took the helm after the sudden death of Geoff Lawson. The X Type & XK8 were Geoff’s designs following tight briefs to mirror the e-type etc. With this he duly suceeded and should be given greater credit

@@andrewwebb9794: Yes, I know, Lawson designed the last real Jaguars! What a pitty, that they lost him much too early. I, myself driving am X-Type, which was the last to give the British feeling inside. Callum lost this completely! Why am I, as a Swiss, wanting a British car? Because I want a British Gentleman’s interior 🙏

@@andrewwebb9794 : But he destroyed the brand Jaguar (see my first comment)! Nice cars, but no Jaguar… could be KIA or a new Chinese brands name…

“Greatest living”, being an ex Rover person, Peter Stevens or Gerry McGovern come to mind and what about the Formula 1 crowd? 😎😇
