You hit the nail on the head. I'm not a huge mud guy either, but I seem to ride in it all the time now and having the right equipment makes it bearable. Welcome back!
Love it. "Terrible financial decision. Best money ever spent". Hey to your father in law and brother in law. They know who they are. LOL. Glad to see you back on YT.
Get yourself a lanyard for that key. Seen way to many lost on the trail. I have the 2021 Renegade XXC 1000r and the 2022 Renegade XMR 1000r. The best out there.
It Depends on what you wanna do. All around machine I would go with the renegade. If you want to get out and grab gears and fling the quad around I’d go with the raptor.
Aside from muddin, how do you think it compares to the Xxc on performance? Like handling. I believe the shocks and gearing is different (and obviously tires). I prefer more down low torque, than I do higher speeds (we don't go really fast in the woods haha). Figured your opinion would be great, since you've owned an Xxc also.
The XXC handles a lot better and is a good bit quicker. I think 90% of that is the tires tho. The 25” tires on the XXC average about 18 pounds a tire I believe. The 30” cryptid tires are 41 pounds. So you’re talking about adding 23 pounds of rotating mass per corner. That’s an insane amount on an atv. I think the xmr with XXC tires would almost handle and be as fast as the xxc imo.
@@WvTrailN Awesome. So I'd be safe getting the XMR, and eventually swapping tires if I really felt the handling wasn't good enough for me. :) Can't wait, inching closer to getting one!
@@vhayne91777 I’d think so. I love the Xmr over the XXC so far for everything except high speed stuff. The xmr will still hit 55-60 in the trails pretty quickly and handles decent as well for the tires it has. The 22 model and up xmr come with the Q3 shocks or whatever so you still get a quality shock. I believe swapping tires would put it on the heels of the xxc for any average trail rider. Xmr models are cut back to 65 mph top speed as well. I hope to tune it soon and round up some wheels and tires to swap out every now and then.
@@WvTrailN Sounds perfect for me then. Even though I typically stay out of mud, I do ride in creeks sometimes, so the snorkel is nice to have. I previously owned an XXC that was modified, pretty much how the XMR is now. The XMR wasn't out yet at that time (2012ish?). Huge terminator tires, etc. Bike was STIFF as hell. And rough to ride. Beat you to death. But I loved it. :)
@@vhayne91777 my xmr is a little stiff. Not bad when standing tho. I usually don’t do mud either. But I gotta say knowing I can swamp it up when I get that feeling and ride normal any other time is fun. I went xmr for the looks with the snorkel horn, bumpers, winch, tires and stuff factory. And my XXC bottomed out a lot with the 25’s. Guess I coulda added to the XXC I had for the about same amount of money over goin new xmr but I love the gold and black, and really like the locker. So far with the 11 hrs I have on the xmr I am very happy with the purchase
@WvTrailN -- Is the front skid that wraps around / protects your winch all metal up front? I have a '21 Renegade X Xc and wanna throw the XMR bumper/skid on up front -- I dig it.
@@WvTrailN - awesome… I couldn’t tell if it was plastic or metal! 😅 It looks like I should be able to get that bumper / skid setup through Partzilla for around $600… might just have to do it! 😄

Hell of a machine brother! Merica 🤙
i like the design, i like how the head looks like a kaiju's head. very japanese looking bike.
She a bad ass I got 21 xmr 1000 outlander. Canams are some powerful machines
I almost went with an outlander
So would you prefer this over the Raptor? I’m trying to decide which to buy. Thx

Im getting one idk if i should snorkle it tho

Check out the new small linq rack and bags system….. I have it on my new 22 850 XXC
I’ll check them out
Like the new ride
XMR ftw, outlander storage tho 🙌

Yes. I had a 21 XXC and busted the front plastic cover twice in the first 500 miles.
