Exactly. It all depends upon person to person but I have to say it's best bike under 3 lakhs for long rides . We did knew about 2.33 lakh means & what onroad price would be.

Hi bro, I'm very interested in both Speed 400 and CB300R. I don't know which one to pick. My use case is mostly intercity, going to highway once a week 70km one way, so weekends will be 140km total. I did not test ride the CB300R but will be doing very soon, the nimbleness and weight and looks of that bike is also attracting me. What do you think about this?
Hi SampreetKidhan, thanks bro writing to me. I have ridden both bikes although Speed400 is bigger and more powerful but I would pick cb300r for the city rides. But Speed400 is better in city and highway. cb300r is extremely light weight and on highway speed you might want some with for better stability. So overall it is a very very tough decision to make. Once you take a test ride of cb300r you will fall in love with this machine. Trust me. Come back after the test ride and share your experience. You will love cb300r.

I'd say 60% rides on highway as my college is on Highway, I stay home only 20% of the week so that is only weekends. I will be covering the highway more. Few problems as per my observation 1. Poor horn sound quality 2. Poor headlight light throw 3. Placement of swich on/off switch.. something while driving if touched by mistake turns to off position. 4. Main stand should be there
speed 400 me oil leakage ka prob aya mujhe delivery wale din hi in just 40-50km oil seal ka issue tha .. aur vo normal nai tha tip tip gir raha tha exhaust pe fir vaha se dhua ana start hua heat bhi ho rahi hai gadi kafi nayi bike me itna toh nai hona chahiye tha 😢

Quality is superb Best bike at this price. This is what I think and other might disagree. I would suggest you to test ride both the bikes to see which one appeals to you and decide. So in terms of service the pain is only once in a year so 300kms in a year should not bother you. But it is still far, I agree. I advise to get it serviced only at authorised service centre, still you can get it serviced if it is only oil, oil filter change. But only in rare cases. I have made a video on 2nd free service cost of speed400, you can watch that video, it will give you some idea.

Hi Rishi, congratulations for the new and amazing bike. I did face the same issue where the gear were sliding in neutral from 1st to 2nd and vice a versa. I would suggest hold the clutch fully and shift the gear. Once we get used to the mechanics of this bike then this should ideally not happen. I Have ridden Speed 400 almost 500kms in 1 Week, 1 biggest issue i found is There is No Rear Tyre Huger. Now why i need this is becuase rear tyre is 150 wide and it collects lot of water/slush while Riding in Rain. It took me 1 hour to clean Monoshock Area becuase of small tyre fender and no tyre huger. Hope to see some after markets Custom Tyre huger or Longer fenders soon.

If u want an actual offroader I'd say wait for it, the taller seat,bigger wheel, knuckle guards, bash plate all of these are prolly gonna worth it. And also we may get minor improvement in quality of service

Thank you Hussain bhai. If it’s 70%city then Speed400 and if 70% highway then duke390. Speed400 is really good in city in comparison to duke as the duke is very eager and kind of jerky in city. At highway duke390 is king . Duke can be ridden 120 and above with less to no stress whereas Speed400 is ok till 110kmph. New Duke390 has gotten better so if my plan is to tour and I have to choose between speed400 and duke390 then I would pick duke390 any day. Hope my answer helps. Do let me know🤗

Hi Rahul, thank you for trusting and asking me. Rahul, all the bikes are very different from each other. Meteor is cruiser with forward controls, cb350 is very neutral and speed 400 is little sporty. I chose cb350 as it was most efficient with great mileage. Looks very classy and retro. If you are looking for relaxed bike with great mileage then cb350 is a good choice. It is great city bike. Clutch is feather 🪶 light. Gear shifts are very smooth. I have not ridden Meteor hence can’t comment. Speed400 is an amazing machine. It is most powerful and longer service interval. So if you need powerful bike then Speed400 is hands down is a pick. For my need cb350 was perfect hence I chose cb350.
I am 698th owner of speed 400... Booked it and got delivered in August. Cons: 1. Heating problem, with 400 cc anyone would buy this for a long ride... But due to heating problem foot gets uncomfortable and need to rest every 1 hour in long rides. 2. Chain is located next to exhaust exposing it to heat from exhaust and making it difficult for maintainence as well as tyre pressure refill... 3. There is lot of dust accumulating near the rear shock absorbs due to short rear fender... Physically rear fender is none existant and still finding it difficult in after market to search for any accessories to fill this gap... 4. Location of coolant reservoir - something we need regularly check but its location makes it difficult to keep a eye on it regularly. 5. Design and looks are a big downside for such a big bike as even smaller cc bikes from almost all the manufacturers are more mascular and appealing. Except ride quality the vehicle is not comfortable for long rides and not comfortable for pillion as well... But, engine is smooth and ride quality is amazing. The pros for me is its engine, and my height is 5.5 feet and its the only comfortable super bike I ever can afford with my budget for its seat height and quality. After generalizing the issues, I still don't mind any of them its just for your information (FYI) from my perspective. This bike has fulfilled my wish of 2 wheels and I don't regret it. This bike is a positive add to my life.
@dennis9341 I would suggest to wait. Let the first batch of bikes to go and then all the issues will be addressed. Scrambler 400x is lunched at 2.63lakh and as of now it will go against himalayan450. So good times ahead.

I own this bike. The points made are not much of a deal. The bash plate should definitely be installed though. Yes, the false neutral happens with me as well, but then I have started riding from 2nd gear only now.

Hi Harjas, thank you so much for the kind words. In terms of Triumph service network it is expending but I can see them only in the big cities where they already have a presence. For example in Rajasthan there is only one showroom and service centre and that is in Jaipur. We bought the bike in the hope that in one year one or two more service stations will come up in Rajasthan however even after 1 year we still have no second service centre. In terms of accessories now we have lot of after market options as well so that issue is gone now. Overall it is still a value for money bike and there is nothing like it in this segment.
Hi bro, Scrambler 400x makes more sense as this comes with following additional compared to speed 400: 1. Hand guard 2. Aluminium skid plate 3. Headlight grill 4. Twin barrel exhaust 5. Split seat 6. 19”front wheel 7. More suspension travel 8. More ground clearance All this easily justifies the price hence 400x is more value for money than speed400 hence I would pick 400x. How coolant reservoir is a problem for you?? Why is it bothering you.. People like who are driving in city are thinking its bad.. But people who have taken this bike heavy offroad doesn't mention this placement as an issue
Because I own this bike. If a stone hits it and create a crack in the middle of nowhere then it will make you feel. If a placement is vulnerable to damage then what is the problem in mentioning it. What I said is to install a sump guard to address this problem but that needs an investment and it impacts the value proposition of the bike. What is wrong in this point of view?
@@Jatinsharmafamily don't worry too much bro.. My bike coolant reservoir placement is in much lower position.. Near to the ground... Bash plate is enough to keep it safe.. I have done spiti ladkah..no issues.. You can hear in my videos small to big rock hitting my bash plate... 🤣.. Chill that is not a issue ur placement is well and good one.. That's actually the ideal position of liquid radiator.. Because ur bike engine is already having 1 lt of liquid inside ur engine. That plastic can is a outlet.. Even if it is empty or in low.. No issues will come

I also loved V storm and Highness and settled for Highness. I don't have time, patience, money and energy to spend on newly launched bikes. Every bike designed and launched in India will have issues. Best is to buy after 2 years or so. Highness is now 2-3 years old and all issues are resolved.
Yes that’s what I mention. However other rider wrote to me in the comment that he also faced this issue when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Going from 2nd to neutral or 1st is not a problem.

Hi Jyitisman, I rode both the bikes and can say with confidence that Speed400 is a better choice. Speed400 is better choice due to following reasons: - more usable power abt 40ps vs 21ps in cb350rs - 16k kms/yearly service interval vs 6k kms or 6months for cb350rs These are the big reasons. If you are ok to shed 35k rupees more for Speed400 then that’s a good pick. This is my opinion but you must take a test ride of both the bikes and whichever suits your preference and riding style is the right bike. I hope I could help.

Nahi bhai, Speed400 ki gearing and fueling is tarah ki he to get maximum power in each gear. Sometime it feels to unnecessary for city. As the moment you open the throttle it launches forward and in city you don’t need it. Ye issue to definitely nahi he.

Apollo Alpha radial tyres much better than MRF, especially for wet weather grip and high speed stability

i heard that in every speed 400 there is a engine shim noise issue ,, and triumph is also not fixing this issue, they are simply ignoring it..

If it’s 70%city then Speed400 and if 70% highway then duke390.
Speed400 is really good in city in comparison to duke as the duke is very eager and kind of jerky in city. At highway duke390 is king . Duke can be ridden 120 and above with less to no stress whereas Speed400 is ok till 110kmph.
New Duke390 has gotten better so if my plan is to tour and I have to choose between speed400 and duke390 then I would pick duke390 any day. Hope my answer helps. Do let me know🤗

Rahul, all the bikes are very different from each other. Meteor is cruiser with forward controls, cb350 is very neutral and speed 400 is little sporty.
I chose cb350 as it was most efficient with great mileage. Looks very classy and retro.
If you are looking for relaxed bike with great mileage then cb350 is a good choice. It is great city bike. Clutch is feather 🪶 light. Gear shifts are very smooth. I have not ridden Meteor hence can’t comment. Speed400 is an amazing machine. It is most powerful and longer service interval. So if you need powerful bike then Speed400 is hands down is a pick.
For my need cb350 was perfect hence I chose cb350.
I am 698th owner of speed 400... Booked it and got delivered in August.
Cons:
1. Heating problem, with 400 cc anyone would buy this for a long ride... But due to heating problem foot gets uncomfortable and need to rest every 1 hour in long rides.
2. Chain is located next to exhaust exposing it to heat from exhaust and making it difficult for maintainence as well as tyre pressure refill...
3. There is lot of dust accumulating near the rear shock absorbs due to short rear fender... Physically rear fender is none existant and still finding it difficult in after market to search for any accessories to fill this gap...
4. Location of coolant reservoir - something we need regularly check but its location makes it difficult to keep a eye on it regularly.
5. Design and looks are a big downside for such a big bike as even smaller cc bikes from almost all the manufacturers are more mascular and appealing.
Except ride quality the vehicle is not comfortable for long rides and not comfortable for pillion as well... But, engine is smooth and ride quality is amazing.
The pros for me is its engine, and my height is 5.5 feet and its the only comfortable super bike I ever can afford with my budget for its seat height and quality.
After generalizing the issues, I still don't mind any of them its just for your information (FYI) from my perspective. This bike has fulfilled my wish of 2 wheels and I don't regret it. This bike is a positive add to my life.

@dennis9341 I would suggest to wait. Let the first batch of bikes to go and then all the issues will be addressed. Scrambler 400x is lunched at 2.63lakh and as of now it will go against himalayan450. So good times ahead.

Hi Harjas, thank you so much for the kind words.
In terms of Triumph service network it is expending but I can see them only in the big cities where they already have a presence. For example in Rajasthan there is only one showroom and service centre and that is in Jaipur. We bought the bike in the hope that in one year one or two more service stations will come up in Rajasthan however even after 1 year we still have no second service centre.
In terms of accessories now we have lot of after market options as well so that issue is gone now.
Overall it is still a value for money bike and there is nothing like it in this segment.
Bhai, which is better.. speed 400 or Scrambler 400x ?
Hi bro, Scrambler 400x makes more sense as this comes with following additional compared to speed 400:
1. Hand guard
2. Aluminium skid plate
3. Headlight grill
4. Twin barrel exhaust
5. Split seat
6. 19”front wheel
7. More suspension travel
8. More ground clearance
All this easily justifies the price hence 400x is more value for money than speed400 hence I would pick 400x.

Why is it bothering you.. People like who are driving in city are thinking its bad.. But people who have taken this bike heavy offroad doesn't mention this placement as an issue
Because I own this bike. If a stone hits it and create a crack in the middle of nowhere then it will make you feel. If a placement is vulnerable to damage then what is the problem in mentioning it. What I said is to install a sump guard to address this problem but that needs an investment and it impacts the value proposition of the bike. What is wrong in this point of view?
@@Jatinsharmafamily don't worry too much bro.. My bike coolant reservoir placement is in much lower position.. Near to the ground... Bash plate is enough to keep it safe.. I have done spiti ladkah..no issues.. You can hear in my videos small to big rock hitting my bash plate... 🤣.. Chill that is not a issue ur placement is well and good one.. That's actually the ideal position of liquid radiator.. Because ur bike engine is already having 1 lt of liquid inside ur engine. That plastic can is a outlet.. Even if it is empty or in low.. No issues will come

I also loved V storm and Highness and settled for Highness. I don't have time, patience, money and energy to spend on newly launched bikes. Every bike designed and launched in India will have issues. Best is to buy after 2 years or so. Highness is now 2-3 years old and all issues are resolved.

Yes that’s what I mention. However other rider wrote to me in the comment that he also faced this issue when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Going from 2nd to neutral or 1st is not a problem.

Confused between honda CB 350rs and triumph speed 400
Hi Jyitisman, I rode both the bikes and can say with confidence that Speed400 is a better choice. Speed400 is better choice due to following reasons:
- more usable power abt 40ps vs 21ps in cb350rs
- 16k kms/yearly service interval vs 6k kms or 6months for cb350rs
These are the big reasons. If you are ok to shed 35k rupees more for Speed400 then that’s a good pick.
This is my opinion but you must take a test ride of both the bikes and whichever suits your preference and riding style is the right bike.

Nahi bhai, Speed400 ki gearing and fueling is tarah ki he to get maximum power in each gear. Sometime it feels to unnecessary for city. As the moment you open the throttle it launches forward and in city you don’t need it. Ye issue to definitely nahi he.
