    I wouldn't use this kind of tool much, so I would go for the standard M12! I currently use Bosch hand tools ,which serve me fine. Their equivalent tool, is very uncomfortable to hold,so I haven't bought one! Acquired my first Milwaukee tool last year, the M12 Hatchet. It has been excellent, so may switch to Milwaukee if funds permit! As a self-employed gardener, most of my tools are Husqvarna and Stihl!

      During certain times of the year you're able to get this regular brushed model for dirt cheap.
      Milwaukee often gives this model away as a free bare tool with the purchase of something else if you need any other M12 tools or batteries. Good luck.

    I have the M12 fuel and love it. Watching earlier reviews when it came out, it's basically the M18 version only with the M12 battery. Honestly, I'd not recommend the brushed, older model to anyone after using the fuel version. Even on a budget, the M12 fuel goes on sale often enough to wait for a sale. More power for faster cutting, easy blade changes and way less vibration make it a winner by a long shot.

      I agree the Fuel version is the clear winner...I was actually surprised how well it worked. The thing with the M12 regular brushed model is some of the kits it comes in you really aren't paying anything for the tool it's so cheap. I agree, if buying outright I would take the Fuel version but if someone is concerned about the cost of the Fuel this M12 brushed model has given me 8+ years and I have no problems with the tool. Even tho it was released 10+ years ago Milwaukee still sells thousands of them every month.

      If you want precision you want the old brushed. The transfered the vibration to the blade on the new version.

      that's great, unless a person is looking for a SMALL LIGHTWEIGHT tool

      @@Jakeisks The M12 version is plenty small and lightweight.

      so it's not "the M18 version only with the M12 battery"
      I'm pointing out the main idea behind buying a 12 V tool. It's not just being a cheapskate. Same reason I bought a 12 V reciprocating saw, I wanted small and lightweight.

    Before going gaga over the Milwaukee, please consider the fact some of us are looking for a SMALL LIGHTWEIGHT tool that's the best for detail work. That's why am looking for a 12 V tool.

      If you are looking for a small detail tool, I'm not sure I would by any of the 12v multi tools as most are nearly the same size as the 18v equivalent in 2024. Check out the small Milwaukee 12v detail tool if you are looking for a small lightweight detail sander: amzn.to/4cWdciM

      probably should have bought a multitool long ago
      I am into certain glues like hot melt glue and superglue. Hot melt glue is very easy to remove if you know how. Superglue not so easy, requires scraping. I'm looking for a tool to remove superglue, a scraper. Removing paint might be nice too (but not my primary concern).

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Jakeisks If looking to remove glue, you may want to try a flexible scraper (amzn.to/4fmAxfa) attached to multi tool. They also make rigid versions (amzn.to/3WkbGQh) that can be used for tougher material. I have used both of these for removing construction adhesive and may work good with superglue as well.

    Would love to see m12 vs m18. There's a deal running where I'm gonna get the track saw and I can add the m18 for 100 extra and it seems like a good buy. But if the m12 is a lot better, I might just hold off and see if I can get a deal on it.

      Are you talking about the regular M18 or the M18 Fuel? If you are referring to the Fuel version, then the M12 and M18 are nearly the same tool.
