    The sanding section was revealing, I was also surprised to see the torque difference the m12 has to the others. Your reviews are to the point and funny.

    I just received my M12 Fuel yesterday. I find this video very helpful, especially because you described how to change the blades. I also know now to reduce the speed while sanding. :)

    I own the Skil, got it in a 5 tool combo kit last year on clearance for $99. Easily the best money I’ve spent, pound for pound.
    Love to see it perform against the big names 🤘

    I've been picking up Hyper Tough 12volts on clearance/open box and recently picked up the Oscillating Multitool for $29!
    Unfortunately, when testing it it out on some scrap fencing post, it kept shutting off! I changed the blade, as the one it came with had been used up, and pretty much the same result. I switched to the 4 AH battery and suddenly it is cutting as good as anything!
    Trying to decide if I should return it, or just run it with the 4 AH. More testing required I suppose!

    Quick question why were the boards fastend differently on the left side one fastener in the center on the right the Milwaukee had two fasteners that were prowd leads me to believe it was eating the paper faster. You can see the darker color where the screws were proud. But the test rig was great 👍👍

    I have a good deal of the Skil 12v line. Very happy with them as a part time contractor/maintenance worker. Just used the 12v oscillating tool on a plumbing job so a very interesting test. That said, they need to have their 12v impact wrench upgraded to match the M12 Stubby Fuel as far as performance numbers. The circular saw is perfectly fine, but I wish they’d upgrade the shoe to magnesium from the stamped steel.

      Skil has been aggressive with prices since the 12v line launch. I picked up a kit which contained the drill, oscillating tool, speaker, led light, batteries and charger for $109.
      The HyperTough has its place too as the Walmart convenience matters. They’re not bad tools by any means.

    I have the m12 fuel and absolutely love it. I did have the bosch and it was decent, but nothing really stood to me. But the m12 fuel is on another level. The slightly longer length and girth (giggity) are non-issues for me personally. The features that do matter, cutting performance and especially vibration, are what put the m12 fuel way ahead of the pack.
    That said, skil's 12 and 20v powercore tools are decent for the money.

  • @Lyle-1999
    @Lyle-1999 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you put the vibration meter on the handle where you hold it for each tool? That seemed like you put them in different locations on each tool and seems strange. Put it where the user holds it and see what that comes back with. I would like to see that. Thanks for the review.

    I think these sort of comparisons are only helped by more information, and that’s what you’re giving here.
    Great rigs! Anything to minimize variance and keep a level playing field helps. That can get really tricky with batteries and blades especially. Diablo blades more than one of the tool kits, yeesh!
    Perhaps it would be good to start the video by laying weather we’re approaching the tools bare and kitting the same way (as best as possible) or testing them as sold in kit.
    Keep up the great work!

    I own so many multi tools haha. I have porter cable 20v, craftsman 20v, a no name 9v (was my first cordless model), some corded harbor freight ones and a couple 12v bosch, one being their first model I bought used for nothing because it was used and abused in trade work full of drywall lol and their newest one I picked up this year for $50 bare tool on a amazon sale. I love the bosch because it feels great to use (just like all their 12v line) but there are catches to them like the tooled bit change which can be an actual plus for some people but a minus for most. The new chargers are just ok, I personally have a few of the old school 30 minute chargers and use those haha. By far the best quick change system is the black and decker multi tool change which is what the porter cable and crasftsman use (they are both owned by stanleyblackanddecker just like dewalt).
    I am surprised at the m12 results, I wonder how much more battery that costs to do. It actually made me also wonder if the hyper tough would be any better on their 4ah like the other tools in the line. Either way my takeaway was all the 12v stuff is just good now, just have to pick a price point/how much are you going to use it.

    • @HVACShopTalk
      @HVACShopTalk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the jump to 4 AH would benefit the hyper tough some for sure. I have found that using the 2 or 4 AH is quite a bit better than using their 1.5 AH.
      I LIKE THE Bosch line as well. The installation driver I tested on the video before performed very well. Bosch does have a 6 AH battery (saw on Amazon) which would be nice to have. Budget constraints…
      Thanks so much for watching.

    I do t know why guys keep comparing 🍎 to 🍊. I’m sure hyper, skil and bosche would all be as good as Milwaukee if they put the money in their tools as Milwaukee does. It’s like comparing a yeti to a styrofoam cup but in this case the three less win due to they are more that half the price cheaper and most people are not going to buy Milwaukee unless they are pro or D bags that have to have the best of everything wether they know how to use it or not. It’s a good video but put the Milwaukee up against fair compatible tools and duke out cheaper brands together. Just makes too much sense not to. Again it’s like comparing Walmart boots to Danner.

    SKIL RULES!!!! THEIR 12V LINE ESP THEIR BRAND NEW ONE ABSOLUTELY ROCKS AND TO ME IS THE BEST ON THE MARKET!!!! AND LOWES HAS HAD THE 2 MAJOR SUBCOMPACT DRILLS AND THIS FOR 59 EACH AND SKIL ACTUALLY INCLUDES FN BATTERIES AND CHARGERS WITH THEIR TOOLS!!! NOTHING I DESPISE MORE THAN SOME HIGH PRICED NAME BRAND HIGH PRICED SOLELY BECAUSE OF NAME....ASKING SOME GD INSANE PRICE LIKE 250 300 ETC FOR JUST A FREAKIN TOOL!!!! THEN U STILL GOTTA PAY ALMOST THAT SAME PRICE FOE THE DAMNED BATTERY AND CHARGER!!
    ILL TAKE SKIL ANY DAMNED DAY OVER THE OTHERS!!! THEIR PRICED GOOD AND FAIR THEY INCLUDE THE ENTIRE KIT AND THEY HAVE A GREAT WAR!!!! AND THEIR JUST DAMNED GOOD QUALITY!!! GREAT WEIGHT GRIP EVERYTHING!!!
    ABSOLUTELY GONNA BE MY 12V LINE!!!! POSSIBLY MY BIG LINE!? BUT LOVE KOBALT ON THE BIG TO!! AND FRANKLY I HAVE THE BAUER LINE ON THE BIG BOYS AND I LOVEEE MY BAUER TOOLS!! SUPER FANTASTIC PRICING!!! AND THEY ABSOLUTELY GET THE JOB DONE FOR THAT PRICE TO!! AND FOR JUST A MERE FEE DOLLARS U CAN GET A GREAT 2 YR WAR WITH THEM!! BAM NEW TOOL IF THEY DO HAVE ANY ISSUES!
    So ky big probably lays bet SKIL KOBALT AND BAUER! REGARDLESS!? IM KEEPING MY BAUER LINE!! There's just certain jobs dirty jobs etc that id just rather have that cheaper tool for!? And RYOBI RULES THE MARKET ON LINE OF TOOLS AND INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY!!! I MEAN RY JUST POUNDS THE MARKET NON STOP WITH SOME PRETTY FAMNED AMAZING INVENTIONS!!! AND PRETTY DAMNED GOOD INVENTIVE AND DAMNED USEFUL TOOLS OVER ALL!!! I MEAN THEY ABSOLUTELY RULE IN THOSE AREAS!!! AND FOE THAT REASON THEY MAY WELL BECOME MY BIG BOY LINE??
    But for me i dont want to and will NOTTT just commit to 1 single line of tools!! I prefer having several lines or diff tools!! I mean 1 tool in 1 line may be great for this that and then another line may offer 1 that is super great at something else!! And for me i dont wanna just buy that brands entire line just because they have 1 great or awesome tool i like!?
    But Ryboi would be that 1 line if i did because of HOWWWW MANYYY FREAKIN DIFF AWESOME TOOLS THEY HAVE FOR SOOOO MANY DIFF THINGS!!! AND YET STILL AFFORDABLE!!??
    BECAUSE GREAT DONE MEAN SHIT IF FOLKS LIKE ME CANT AFFORD IT!!! AND I HATE TOOL LINES THAT ONLY SEEM TO CATER TO THE RICH!!
    Anyways just my opinions and where i stand!! And im sticking to it!!😊😊😊
