Love the way you tell it as it is .No bullshit approach. I was in business early 90,S Home loan 18% Business O/D 22% went through tough times now 78 years young & survived, health & happiness are you most important asset CHEERS
Love your opinions Mark, my biggest query regarding the "Voice", is that parliament have had the power to change things and listen to the indigenous for many years and have pumped billions into their affairs and have achieved very little over a long period. Plenty of money wasted for very little reward. There are solutions if they listened to the right people, but I believe that this will be another cash cow tax for the govt with the money ending up in the wrong pockets, so to speak. I have lived in these communities and learnt more on indigenous history from 1 trip to NT than all of my schooling
Exactly, similar to the homeless problem in California plenty of people with big ass salaries to solve the problem with nothing gained but select people getting rich
The awesome thing about Mark is that he is extremely experienced, stems from a diverse background, and has a wealth of rich experiences, not only within different businesses but also within different cultures and countries. Its clear these attributes makes him relatable and conversational among a very broad array of people ranging converted criminals to business magnates. This communication style is a lost art in today's world and something that the tik-tok generation won't ever grasp
He explains everything in plain language. It's really important for the every day person to understand what is going on and Mark does a marvelous job to bridge that gap.
Mark you've seen both worlds, you are part of both worlds. I actually listen to your advice and do believe you, and I know what you say is truth and from your heart and experience. I believe we can do better for us all. You are simply honest... every time someone tries they become an enemy. Go far enough and you are horribly labelled. I will keep listen especially during these really tough times. I know you will have the best advice possible.

The Voice , first we need to know what it is before we decide , so our shifty PM should tell us the detail , so until that time , i vote no , in the mean time he should do something good for Australia ????
Mark I agree with your thoughts on all of today’s topics: Our resources The Voice And the bumpy ride ahead I like the Sovereign Assest trust one of the Scandinavian countries has as I don’t want to see Australia become a bigger version of Nauru in the future Once the Voice is passed I’d like to see our indigenous bothers and sisters increase their role as stewards of the land for this great country I feel that those that are offered the opportunity to exploit our natural resources should be expected to maintain a reserve for us all to support our way of life through tough times I also believe that those businesses should be changed more and the tariffs invested for our countries future I’d like to see a version of national service brought in to support and bolster our emergency services Where our young people are taught the skills needed to support the the country/community in times of natural disaster or emergency so that collectively we are able to better react to trouble times ahead Keen to hear everyone’s thoughts on the last point
Gday Mark, where do you see the the ev market heading given the fact Australia currently and in the foreseeable future will not be able to service the demand for charge and taking into account there seems that there isn’t enough rare earth elements required to continue the push into this field Kind regards Adam
Agreed 100%. Household budgets are stretched already. Consecutive interest rises with greedy companies taking advantage of the hype around inflation putting up prices to create more profit to keep shareholders happy. Buckle up 2023 will a rough ride.
Howard was the first PM to raise this as a solution. Like most referendum items, in Australia, they get knocked back and forth between both parties. Climate change is a perfect example of this.
Thanks Mark, I'm in Melbourne. With inner city apartments, a lot are held by investors and with rents increasing so dramatically it's still more affordable for owner occupiers to buy and for investors to hold? Would love to hear your thoughts.
check the insane body corporate fee's on these rabbit hutches...$2.5K-$5k per qtr are insane rip off's and i just dont see how they make investing sense?
Thanks Mark, informative overview, right down to turning the lights and air conditioning off plus indigenous acknowledgment . 😊 Australians should not be getting shafted by external factors affecting basic cost of living, be it the world we live in...this is simply past or present government incompetence. Can you fix this please mate 😅
mark what hasnt really kicked in yet is the adjustment in discretionary spending. Everyone was going to have a real christmas after covid and cop the bill later. Now is where the rubber hits the road people will start to tighten up now will have no choice . Where it will start to hurt now is unemployment as if people stop discretionary spending , you dont need as many restaurant staff, people serving the public at harvey norman and the list goes on. Most people have kept staff because they were hard to get , things will change now. Too many moving parts Mark in this puzzle in 2023 and understand inflation is still high and not adjusting quick enough the Rba will do two more in 2023 then pause and go again after that .
You’re not going to learn much off the voice considering you’re one of the best business men Australias ever seen and they couldn’t invent the wheel!!!
I have thought that for a long time. I believe the government needs to be run like a business and bring in revenue from other areas than taxation. Mark would be perfect to administer that and would be a perfect statesman.

Hi Mark , would love an insight from your perspective for 2024 , similar to this vid would be great 👍

I agree with your thoughts on all of today’s topics:
Our resources
The Voice
And the bumpy ride ahead
I like the Sovereign Assest trust one of the Scandinavian countries has as I don’t want to see Australia become a bigger version of Nauru in the future
Once the Voice is passed I’d like to see our indigenous bothers and sisters increase their role as stewards of the land for this great country
I feel that those that are offered the opportunity to exploit our natural resources should be expected to maintain a reserve for us all to support our way of life through tough times
I also believe that those businesses should be changed more and the tariffs invested for our countries future
I’d like to see a version of national service brought in to support and bolster our emergency services
Where our young people are taught the skills needed to support the the country/community in times of
natural disaster or emergency so that collectively we are able to better react to trouble times ahead
Keen to hear everyone’s thoughts on the last point

The Voice will be a platform for far left activists. Nothing more, the ppl that matter will be forgotten.

8 monthly rate rises consecutively X 3 months lag = 24 months before we notice the full effect(if they stop raising rates)
