    As a nurse for 50 years and an herbalist for 40, I really appreciate Marie's combination of science and folk magic (at least it's that to me....💚💚). I have been making lotions and salves/ creams for most of my adult life (for humans and animals) and find her formulations up to date and manageable. Thank you Marie for your easy approach to making superior, nourishing products.

    Marie, you should totally check out pomegranate sterols! It’s supposedly a lanolin substitute; I just bought some from FSS and I’ve been liking it around 0.5-1% in a hand lotion. I’m curious what you would come up with!

    Another great video marie!!🤍 I have a few questions though. How do you go about formulating something that is sold in stores? I would love to make my own version of Tarte’s Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm, but I have no idea how to get started. I have made a few of your formulations but formulating something all on my own is a little intimidating. Do you have a video on this? Also is there anyway we could recommend formulas for you to make? I would love to see your take on the Tarte product I mentioned!

    Hello Marie
    I love love your videos
    Buh I would much appreciate it if you try making more large batch diy’s so that many will know the measurements needed for that
    It may also help people who are trying to own a small business in skincare 💕

    • @kerrbear6159
      @kerrbear6159 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use the percentages in her recipes to make a larger batch. Excel can help you calculate the weights.

    • @_Ag-
      @_Ag- 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Marie makes the point often that it’s of more help to make tiny batch sizes until you have a formula down perfect and then you can tweak it for your purposes and be sure it still works. Only then would you want a large batch size and by that point you’ll understand how to scale up your batch size to any amount since the formula is given in percentages.

    Hi Marie. I am using a retinol product since a couple of months (0,5% retinol, rest is oil based: isopropyl palate, sunflower seed oil, glycine soya oil, isododecane,...). But I am a lazy face oil/serum/cream/... applier. I would like to include this retinol oil as the oil part of a face cream (I know I can't heat the retinol so I would need a cold emulsifier, like gélisucre ). Have you done this or do you know if it is a bad idea for pH or other reasons. Thanks

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Ann! I'm afraid I have no experience formulating with retinol. I do not advise using store bought products as ingredients in your own formulations, though. Happy making!
