I completely agree with your sentiment about being able to see the world from such a cool, different view because of aviation! Every time I take a regular, commercial flight somewhere, I always get a window seat and look outside with such a sense of wonder, like a little kid, especially on takeoff and landing, even after flying many many times. It’s so amazing! I’m always curious how the other people don’t seem to care and get on their phones right away. Thanks for taking us along with you Stevie!
@@adventuresinbytes at the end of the year, I’m going to post a video detailing everything I spent to buy, own, and maintain my C140A for the first year! Typically smaller airplanes themselves aren’t more than cars (my 140A was $33k) but maintenance is where you get hit in the wallet 😅

@@bayflight Say what now? $33k for a 60- or 70- year old car? Yah maybe for a a "veteran" 🥴 (I think they stopped making the 140 in the 60s) but even so, for that much you should get a "classic" in top condition and low, low mileage. A rattly, noisy, underpowered, _tiny_ aluminium box? Maybe a third of that price!
I was a T-37 instructor at Williams AFB 1972 to 1975. Been to Albuquerque many times at FL210. Saw a NASA F-104 do a Immelmann turn there out of traffic over 50 years ago. Loved the flight, I did it many years ago in a 172, but what I really enjoyed was admiring your 140. I sold mine ( a late 48 fabric wings ) 2 years ago and miss it every day. Flying a 1960 172 conversion to tailwheel these days, but I'll miss my little birdie always.
Love your videos ,specially all the different angles and the one camera looking at you flying is great. I lived in Showlow Pinetop for three years and the place is beautiful. You should have syated for one night, its such a different climate and vegetation. I used to drive by the airport and the road gets really close to the end of the runway. Nice memories.
I finished my ppl last year in Germany and while it wasnt cheap, I just always love being up there enjoying the world from above. Owning a plane is cost prohibitive for me but in a flying Club its possible. I have one at my City so its just 3 miles by cycle to go flying. I enjoy your channel. Many appreciation from Germany
Absolutely love your content. I flew with my dad growing up in his Piper Cherokee and would listen to him talk with ATC while we flew. Just brings me back... You seem so calculated and on top of your game up there.
Loving your 140 videos, Stevie! I recently bought a share in a Piper Super Cub and finished my rating in it a few months back. There's something special about flying low and slow in an old aircraft! Keep the vids coming! Dan (Christchurch, New Zealand).
Flown most of the smaller Pipers and Cessnas but sold a 182 last year. Thanks for keeping me in the air. Miss my 170 time out of Murray Field in Eueka, CA

Beautiful C140 in its new look. I love tailwheel aircrafts, I did most of my flying in these taiwheel aircrafts. Looking forward to the other legs of this trip😊
I've enjoyed flying with you since I first discovered you. Precise, excellent communication skills and smooth flying. I have a love for V-tailed Bonanzas, with many hours in a V-35B. I think it is very cool that you bought and updated your Bo very respectfully to the vintage appearance, but much safer mods. That said, you did pretty much the same with the 140. A Cessna was my first airplane, 50 years ago. As nice as your Bonanza is, the 140 fits you like a glove. Excellent job sticking the landing at Show Low! Nose up in the turns...🛩
This leg brought back fond memories of flying around the desert southwest from Embry-Riddle in Prescott, AZ. General aviation has a special place in my heart so it's a pleasure to see proficient young pilots serving as role models and sharing the love. Well done.
24:44 - The 172 that I rode in the co-pilot seat on, flew less-stressed around 90 MPH, during calm weather. With a slight tail wind push, who knows the speed from there😆. (Sight seeing plane for sure. Agree with you on the better ground viewing abilities).
Hi Stevie thanks for sharing another awesome video, what a wonderful way to spend a day and the bonus we get to come along with you 😀. There's some beautiful scenery below you, thanks again for sharing with us take care and stay safe 👍 😊
This brings back great memories of the Cessna 120 we restored in 1992. It was for resale after exterior, interior and new fabric on the wings. I had too much fun and took a couple of years before decided to accept a sale. Caribou Maine.

I know you have flown through here a few time with both your aircraft on your way to KOSH. If you come through again fly into Double Eagle airport KAEG. Very nice small airport with great service and FBO just west of town. If you let us know your coming will have a great group of pilots and EAA young eagles and CAP Cadets here to take care of you and a hanger for your stay. Either way fly safe. Tailwheel pilot getting it done. Looked fun. Beautiful airplane. Low and slow is a blast. I think the desert SW has some of the best VFR flying in the country.
Hi Stevie Triesenberg! How are you? First, forgive me for my English! Second, I love your videos! I just try to understand the "American Airspace" Classes, especially for VFR flights! I find it very complex in some situations! I would love it if you made a video explaining the VFR rules in the United States! Thank you very much for everything! A big hug from a Brazilian Fan!

Factor in the curves in the highway, traffic jams, traffic lights, etc. etc. and you've got the last laugh! If you're feeling slow, consider getting something like a Bonanza... woops... silly me! This is neat! Thanks. 👍 😜
Love this video! I did my private and instrument training out of FFZ in the late 1980’s. Your beautiful camera work and editing brought back such memories, such as taking the northbound route over the Salt River and past Red Mountain. We always tried to fly early in the morning during summer because the thermals and storms made it unpleasant as the day wore on.
Loved this vid. I agree with the perspective of being above it all looking down. I love being a passenger, looking down at the tiny buildings and cars…wondering about their lives. It’s awesome that you share your pilot life with us. Thank you.
My last solo flight on a Cessna 150 happened in San Antonio in 1974...Wow, thank you for bringing back the memories. Just found your channel !!! Super duper great video.
I love your planes, I love your new panels. And your flying and the radio audio in your videos is great. However, what's completely blown me away about the first 6 minutes of this video are the amazing sun shades. Both of the airplanes that I've owned (and many club airplanes that I've flown) have crap, janky, barely usable sun shades. The moment where you reached up and did a sideways fine adjustment of the window shade made me clap in appreciation.
Just popped up on my iPad, so I immediately cast it to my big screen, your videos are so well done just love them. I’ll watch my iPad for the next one 😊safe travels.
Great video, Stevie! Beautiful scenery from the 140. I just started ground school, and I like watching your videos. You set a good example to aspire to.
The highest density altitude we ever took off in was at Grants at 9400 ft. The Debonair handled it fine, but it was the roughest flight ever from there to Payson AZ. We had 1000 ft up and down drafts. Wont do that in the afternoon again.
Love your videos. Your videos makes one feel like I’m seating in the right seat. Listening to the radio chatter makes it so realistic and seeing the landscape is super fun. You are having an awesome life. Enjoy every minute.
Everyone wants to fly early morning in the AZ desert during summer. Afternoon turbulence really can make it rough, even in larger planes. I've flown in this area in a 150....loved the scenery. Stopped in St. Johns for fuel on the way to Las Vegas NM several times on the way to the annual Cessna 150 fly-in in Clinton, IA.

It's like a road trip in the sky - even better!
What an outstanding job of refurbishment from paint to interior it's an award winner
Desperately looking for day 3, love your ongoing comment and great com skills. Well done. Hope to c day 3 soon
Thank you so much! Part 3 should be out Thursday!
Loved watching day two, loverly and clever young lady.👏💐
I finished my ppl last year in Germany and while it wasnt cheap, I just always love being up there enjoying the world from above. Owning a plane is cost prohibitive for me but in a flying Club its possible. I have one at my City so its just 3 miles by cycle to go flying.
I enjoy your channel. Many appreciation from Germany
Absolutely love your content. I flew with my dad growing up in his Piper Cherokee and would listen to him talk with ATC while we flew. Just brings me back... You seem so calculated and on top of your game up there.
Love my trips to the desert. East coast pilot. Moab, Sedona, and GC.
Loving your 140 videos, Stevie! I recently bought a share in a Piper Super Cub and finished my rating in it a few months back. There's something special about flying low and slow in an old aircraft! Keep the vids coming! Dan (Christchurch, New Zealand).
Your paint and interior design choices were spot on, Stevie. The 140 looks amazing!
Those adjustable visors are a must for early morning and late afternoon flights. Thanks for the video. Thanks. KAPF
Flown most of the smaller Pipers and Cessnas but sold a 182 last year. Thanks for keeping me in the air. Miss my 170 time out of Murray Field in Eueka, CA
9:43 Roosevelt Lake and dam, Spring Creek bridge, my stomping grounds, stop by next time 😂😂😂 ✈️
9477A good day!!! Enjoyed the video.. I grew up in the White Mountains near Show Low. Small town north of Show Low called Snowflake, Arizona. Cool to see Show Low from the air. Can’t wait to see part 3 9477A!
Beautiful C140 in its new look. I love tailwheel aircrafts, I did most of my flying in these taiwheel aircrafts. Looking forward to the other legs of this trip😊
Nice i was waiting for this one I'm from NM and lived in ABQ for like 6 years.
Nice leg of the trip, the little 140 is performing great. Looking forward to the next part of the trip.
I truly enjoy flying along with you on your adventures. You are such a good pilot. Very thorough and meticulous.
Love it! My family had a Bonanza (K model) and a C120, so watching your channel sparks so many good memories. Thanks Stevie:)
Well done.
Beautiful Airplane good job with the restoration.
Thank you Stevie for taking us along, looking forward to the next journey. Beautiful scenery by the way..Love from the UK.
Thank you so much for watching!
The arial photo of St. Johns and then the detailed shot of your panel is wonderful. Thank you so much!

This brings back great memories of the Cessna 120 we restored in 1992. It was for resale after exterior, interior and new fabric on the wings. I had too much fun and took a couple of years before decided to accept a sale. Caribou Maine.
Stevie you should do an online course teaching us beginners ground and radio training, I could listen to your comms all day and am trying to learn so much from them, I’d love to be so natural as you are chatting on the radio and taxiing.
So glad we are getting these videos now. Love the 140. It's cute and sleek.
Very impressive young lady. I know this video was from back in early summer but wanted to offer an open invitation to you when flying through Albuquerque. Love the videos and our young eagles and CAP cadets are always inspired and encouraged by your talents. Take care.
Nice! Keep Going Over that Check List!!!! Amazing how that 1949 Cessna is shining ! Who ever preowned it took really good care of it!!! the Views Are Spectacular! Thanks for sharing!
I grew up in Albuquerque. Sure miss it. It's a pretty place, the Sandia Mountains are simply beautiful.
Very Smooth first Landing Stevie. Thanks for sharing the Beauty of Flying with us. The views are amazing from the 140 indeed. 😊❤️👍 PD The Background Music is Fantastic! 🎶
It is so much fun watching your videos! Thank you for bringing us along
The video quality is astonishing! Thanks for posting this.
You're an amazing pilot. Such smooth takeoffs and landings. You nail the landing with very little bounce.
Probably learned more about flight following from your videos than any of my instructors, so thanks! Beautiful 140. Perhaps some day I will find one of my own!
24:45... Talking relative speeds compared to highway traffic; it's the hare and the tortoise!
U r living the dream. Many of us would love to live such a life. Thanks for the experience
Loved this vid. I agree with the perspective of being above it all looking down. I love being a passenger, looking down at the tiny buildings and cars…wondering about their lives. It’s awesome that you share your pilot life with us. Thank you.
That interior though, wooooh!!! So crisp and so clean! You're awesome Stevie, never stop!
ArtCraft did an AMAZING job on the interior - executed the vision perfectly. Thank you so much for watching!!
My last solo flight on a Cessna 150 happened in San Antonio in 1974...Wow, thank you for bringing back the memories. Just found your channel !!! Super duper great video.
I am a flatlander fro se Wisconsin I am enjoying the view, THANKS
Glad to have you in my home state, flying to and over places I have spent so much time. Keep living your best life!
Another Great flight Stevie thanks for letting us ride along. Ed
Stevie I am reminiscing while enjoying your videos but can't help being jealous of all the fun you are having.
So wonderful, brings back a lot of great memories.. Beautiful job of flying the 140. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
That is really a very cute and well done plane. It looks like it just popped out of the factory line. Wow...Did I mention this is a most excellent episode?!!
Hi Stevie, thanks for the videos; I used to fly private decades ago - career change to self-employed meant that had to go - it's a joy to watch you working.
You're polite and good with everyone and that's a great way to be and makes the whole thing even more enjoyable.
9477A is beautiful - oh and beautiful 3-pointers 😁
Safe flying.
Thanks for sharing… great looking 140, great choice on the interior and paint. Looking forward to more videos:-)
