Parents who show favouritism always swear up and down they love their kids equally. And parents with step kids always overcompensate for the fact that they're not the bio parents and unfortunately this seems to always come at the expense of their bio kids.
I reckon this wedding was the straw that broke the camels back for OP’s daughter. But I also fell this drama could have been avoided by a phone call during wedding planning saying “we are both getting married this year - let’s try and make it so it’s not in the same weekend”
Op let's be honest. If it wasn't for saving face you would never contact your daughter while your stepdaughter is around. And look into the dates and you'll see the stepdaughter did it on purpose.
Sounds like you did show favoritism to your stepdaughter! It’s quite possible that your stepdaughter did this on purpose! Why didn’t he fly?If you had really wanted to be at your daughter’s wedding you should have left immediately after the wedding service and flown! It’s quite obvious that you chose your stepdaughter and most likely have for decades
Story 1: The story comes across to me that bio daughter intentionally kept her wedding date from her dad so when stepsister sent out her save the date, she could then send out hers, and play the "neglected daughter" card. Otherwise, why would she not have set out the save the date until a week at least after stepsister sent hers out. She did that intentionally. I'm almost willing to bet that bio brat has a history of intentionally setting up situations to make her look like the "poor victim of stepsisters beloved status. Dad shouldn't have wasted his energy.
He stayed late at the reception for the step daughter and did not leave at his "planned" time.also he is wealthy gurantee his car has GPS and he did not get lost. He is liar.
@@mimiwhite1963where did you get he didn't leave at his planned time? Op never said that. And it's possible he just doesn't have a GPS, they're not expensive but if he doesn't normally use one it's likely he wouldn't get one for this. And it's easy to get lost even if you have one, just miss an exit. My sister has one, took the wrong exit and ended up driving through Chicago, traffic there sucks. Dad sucks for planning on leaving that late because 1 it's dangerous to drive tired which he would be. And 2 even if he made it he'd probably fall asleep at her wedding/ reception which still would show he favored step daughter since he was awake for hers.
Do you know one factor that really doesn’t help your post is the fact that OP attempts to buy his daughters forgiveness instead of actually reaching out to speak to her and try and make up in a meaningful manner. It sounds like OP decides to throw money at his daughter whenever he fails to be there for her.
U haven't tried your best and u did favor step daughter
