Next year , please do come to Surau Jumaat An Naim at Wangsa Maju Kuala Lumpur..you can see they slaughter 10 cows for korban after the Eid Solat...most of local Malay Muslim are here. But our imam is from Palestine and Syria..

You can actually walk to Kampung Baru from KLCC through the beautiful Saloma Bridge. Kampung Baru is one of the most popular local Malay village in KL. There were already videos of some foreign youtubers celebrating Hari Raya with locals in Kampung Baru, I hope u guys get the experience too. Salam eid mubarak

Most Malaysian inhabitants of KL come from outside ie other states so most go back to their hometowns during Eid celebrations. That's why u don't see many locals during Eid. But if u wanna go outside during Eid holidays, there is ONE HUGE PROBLEM. If u are driving, u have to face the insane traffic on highways all over the country. U say u wanna go to Kelantan right? Well it won't be a 5 hour drive, not during Eid holidays. It'll be way more than that. The best way is to ask your local friends for advice for when is the best time to leave KL during Eid holidays

try local community mosque in ampang, wangsa maju, bangi, kajang etc or even seremban
I really miss yr vlog... The local Malay communities live mostly at the outskirt KL...maybe next time you should venture Shah Alam n try praying at the Mosque in Bukit Jelutong , Shah Alam....May yr family will always be under Allah’s Rahmah... Aamiinn
Inshallah we’ll be working on many more vlogs with many more trips upcoming. It was a shame we didn’t get to experience Eid as we were hoping. We took the recommendation to attend Eid prayers from a local friend, however it seems that that wasn’t the right place after all. Klcc mosque is located right in the middle of KL City centre ...it is surrounded with commercial buildings and offices...not many locals actually stay or live in the neighborhood....you can tell from the faces around you that most of them are not locals... definitely the is no slaughtering of animals or qurban there which eid adha is all about...come to local mosques to experience the true spirit of Eid adha....

Alhamdulillah and Happy Eid alAdha. Regarding the day of Arafah, there are difference in opinions, the khilaf of ulama'. but Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia follows the methodology of Shafii madhab ie. The day of anything, from 1st of Ramadan to when is the Eid Fitr to the Day of Arafah a.k.a Day of 9th Zulhijjah to 1st Muharram all based on the local place where the cresent moon is sighted. Hence, we dont follow Saudi days eventho another opinion says the Day of Arafah is when the hajj pilgrims are doing wukuf at Arafat. InsyaAllah, taking either opinion, the fasting is still accepted by Allah.
next year InshaAllah..feel free to go to the north and the east coast and experience the joyful eid coz we normally would leave the big city and gather together with our loved ones in our hometown..or maybe you should consider going to Ampang,Kampung Pandan, Dato Keramat or Kampung Baru and meet the locals it is filled with activities during these festive seasons..

mayb you can try to minggle around with the locals at kampung baru (if in Kl area) .. The Qurban for some Masjid is quiet happening and u can see the united of locals to handle the qurban and prepare food to celebrate eid adha

Should go to a more local mosque. The mosque that you went to is an ' international' one. Can tell it from their faces. Still they're our muslim brothers.

You were at wrong place. To get involved with eid adha you must take part of qurban around rm700/person for the 1/7 of cow.

What a pity.You went to the wrong mosque in KL during Eid.For your info Klcc mosque or any other mosques in the city are taken over by migrant workers during eid as locals celebrated at their local communities or their kampongs.That goes too with other major holidays.
By looking at your videos I swear that you could be in Dhaka or Cox bazar…ha ha
I think your eid celebration is a bit sad. Probably it's because you don't have local malay friends. Can't fault you for that, your family seems pretty well off and probably living in the high income area that certainly not populated by the locals.
